A British company has released the first pictures of a ‘smart condom’ which collects very intimate data about the sex life of anyone brave enough to wear it.

The device is called the i.Con and can detect sexually transmitted infections as well as sending data about a sex session straight to the wearer’s smartphone.

British Condoms said its ‘revolutionary wearable tech for the bedroom’ measures the number of calories burned during intercourse, the speed of a man’s thrusts, how long he lasts and even what positions are used.

The condom firm said its invention would help men see how they ‘stack up to other people from around the world.’

Adam Leverson, lead engineer for the i.Con Smart Condom, said: “It’s here and it’s beautiful. We wanted the i.Con to look refined, non-intrusive and lightweight – the finished article is nothing short of any of those things.

“There’s a lot of tech packed into the i.Con and for us to be able to deliver it in such a way that there is absolutely no hindrance to the user was our main goal – and I think we have gone above and beyond with the i.Con to make sure of this.

“I’m just so happy that we can now share the i.Con with the world!”

The smart condom is a small band which fits around the bottom of a man’s joystick, which means wearers will still need to strap on a normal condom to get full protection.

It is waterproof and features a band that’s “extraordinarily flexible to ensure maximum comfort for all sizes.”

Bizarrely, it even lights up to provide illumination for both partners’ private parts.

John Simmons, a spokesperson for British Condoms, added: “We’re extremely excited to share with the world the first glimpse of the i.Con Smart Condom Ring due to go on sale in the UK in January 2018.

“It’s truly the next step in wearable tech and we believe we have pioneered a product that will not only bring an extra element of fun into the bedroom, but will also help indicate potential STI’s present as well as prevent condom slippage, a leading cause of unplanned pregnancy in the UK.”

The condom company claimed 900,000 people have already written to express interest in the gadget.

Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, has reacted to the Unclad photo ‘mistakenly’ posted online by Bankole Wellington, otherwise known as Banky W of his wife, Adesua.

Joelsblog confirmed it was actually a mistake carried out by banky W and it wasn't intentional to put his wife's nudes before the public.

The Nollywood actress took to Twitter handle to warned that some things should be kept private.

She called on the couple not to be carried away by social media.

She wrote: It’s easy to get sucked into the whole social media whirlpool. But some things should be kept private.

It will be recalled that a video surfaced online showing newly wedded couple, Banky W and Adesuwa Etomi. Adesuwa could be seen in just her underwear as her husband Banky W accidentally recorded the video, unbeknownst to him.

President Uhuru Kenyatta said on Tuesday that any African can get a visa on arrival in Kenya, and will be free to settle in the country if they marry a Kenyan, removing restrictions on some nations.

“If you wish and find a willing partner, you can marry and settle in Kenya,” he said during his inauguration address after being sworn-in for a second term in office, saying the move was designed to cement African ties.

According to him: “This commitment we make again with no requirement for reciprocity.”

The family of Bilyaminu Bello, the son of ex-PDP chairman, Haliru Bello, who was recently stabbed to death by his wife, Maryam Sanda, have finally broken their silence on the very sad incident that occured on Sunday, November 19th.

A brother of the deceased who spoke to the Nation, said the family is still in shock over the unfortunate incident.

The brother who spoke on condition of anonymity, said they are waiting on the law enforcement agencies to ensure that justice prevails in this matter. The brother of the deceased spoke at a night of tribute held in honor of the deceased in Abuja last Thursday.

“So far, the family is grieving. Maryam’s family have come to pay their condolence. The mother has come but what is more painful is the fact that Maryam does not look remorseful for what she did at all. I just pray one day, she finds it in her heart to honestly say what it is that made her do what she did.

As a family, we are looking at the authority to do what is right, to let justice prevail. This is an example to others. The way this case is treated will determine how we move forward…Bilyamin was not just my older brother but best friend.” he said

A friend of the deceased, Hakeem Ali, who also spoke at the night of tribute, said Bilyaminu was a prisoner in his matrmonial home. He denied allegations that Bilyaminu was a serial cheater.

‘My friend was being held a prisoner in his own home. He couldn’t leave the house in the sense that it was an ongoing thing; the abuse went on for a while. For me there is a difference between love and when somebody is being obsessive. People tend not to understand the difference between love and obsession.

It wasn’t the best marriage and I believe either of them could have just walked away. It’s easier to sit down in that sorrow and think you can change things, or that if I can’t have him, no one will. I don’t consider it love. I can’t speak on his behalf. I can’t speak on his personal issue, he is a good friend and he is gone.

He was that one guy that the minute we step out, we will be like, it is time for you to go home, your wife is about to call, after hanging out for as little as an hour or even 30 minutes. Even in the afternoon because she always calls.

So we formed the habit of going to see him at home. The situation with the law, there are a lot of speculations right now on social media but if Nigeria should excuse people for murder just because they have a child, then if I am a murderer, then I will keep on having babies every week, that is not an excuse, for me.

If somebody has committed a murder, either intentionally or by mistake, she should not be allowed to even see her baby because you don’t even know her state of mind. I don’t understand the system. A conversation has to begin on domestic violence against men as well because it’s becoming recurrent.

If it is a case of murder by mistake then there is a price to pay of which a family can forgive but only God gives life and only God can take it. So, if you take a life, then your life should be taken. It is that simple. If the evidence shows it is a murder, then there is no excuse. It should be a case of an eye for an eye. It is that simple.”

Another friend of the deceased, Jemila Shehu, who was also at the tribute night, suggested that Maryam might have bipolar disorder or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD

”I have no idea. I was not in her mind. I don’t know what she was thinking. All I know is that they both loved each other. There was love there, only God knows. It beats my imagination and I don’t want to think about it or give any excuse as a Muslim.

He is gone but I don’t know what she was thinking. I don’t know what to think about her. For me, she should be punished. She committed murder. So, she should serve the punishment fully. This happened to someone that was loved by a lot of people. He was kind, quiet and people knew them to be in love.

So, it beats everybody’s imagination. Domestic violence should be treated. People should relax, love is not by force. Obsession is a disease.

There are a lot of people in Nigeria that are sick but people don’t know because you think that if you go to the therapist, they look down on you or think you are crazy but there are a lot of PTSD, bipolar patients and they live among us. Maybe she flipped, maybe it was a psychotic break or maybe she planned it.”

Commercial motorcycle operators (okada riders) in Lagos State have been given till Tuesday to begin to wear approved reflective jackets while on the road or risk arrest.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Edgal Imohimi, stated this while addressing the riders on Friday, warning that the police could not guarantee the safety of any member of the public patronising commercial operators without the approved uniform.

He said the action was taken to enable the police to distinguish genuine commercial motorcycle operators from criminal elements using the business as a cover to commit crimes.

He said yellow and pink reflective jackets had been approved for members of Motorcycle Operators Association of Lagos State affiliated to the National Union of Road Transport Workers and the National Motorcycle Owners and Riders’ Association of Lagos State, respectively.

Imohimi advised all operators to get registered for proper identification, warning that any unregistered operator found on the road from Tuesday would be arrested for illegal operation.

He said, “If you want to be a commercial motorcycle operator in Lagos State, you must belong to either NAMORAL or MOALS. All commercial motorcycle operators are, as from Tuesday, expected to have been registered. Motorcycle operators must wear reflective vests designed by the unions with their names and numbers.

“The vests are numbered. There are emergency numbers to call in case a passenger has a problem with any commercial motorcycle operator.’’

He asked leaders of the two motorcycle transport unions to have a database for commercial motorcycle operators in the state.

Romance in Nigeria is really taking its toll recently as actions by some men shows that they’ve really stepped up their game.

So in another episode of how Nigerian men are hopeless romantics, a Nigerian guy has proven himself to be in the league of these men as an action he made recently goes viral.

The said Nigerian man, identified as Ojay, proposed to his girlfriend, Tamilore in a quite spectacular way – he used a billboard at CMS, Marina Lagos to pop the question to his lovely girlfriend… and from what it looks like in the photos, she certainly said yes.

Love is beautiful… or isn’t it?

Antar Laniyan, work behind the scene would know that he can be likened to a soldier whenever he is working.

In fact, it is a general knowledge among actors that he is not one to mess with while shooting. In an exclusive chat with Saturday Beats, the actor stated that his sternness on movie location is for a reason. He said, “If you are disciplined and you don’t put romance with women first as an actor, you would go far. If you believe that as an actor, you don’t need women all around you, then you would remain relevant because you would concentrate on your craft. I directed ‘SuperStory’ for about 10 years but no woman entered my room in the camp. You can ask Wale Adenuga himself. There were amorous advances from women but I shunned them. I am feared while on set. As a lady, you cannot see me and have the courage to approach me with your amorous advances. People would even tell you not to try it with me; they would advise the ladies not to wink at me because I would just slap them. It is not that I am wicked but I want my cast and crew members to do what is expected of them. You don’t have to give me anything to gain what you do not deserve. Use your talent and let me acknowledge that you are good at your work. You don’t have to bribe me with your body.

“When I am working, I let discipline guide me. I don’t care if you are befriending the producer; but as a director, I want a disciplined actor in front of me. I do not go to the location to wine and dine; instead I go to work. When it comes to working, I am like a man that goes to the war front with the mindset of winning the war. If I don’t face my work squarely, it is the same people that are commending me that would condemn me and I don’t want that. I want to be an evergreen actor. Look at the likes of Oga Bello and Prince Jide Kosoko, they started in 1964 and they are still relevant today. At the time they started, I was just a year old.”

Although he might be seen as someone to be feared on set, the actor confided in Saturday Beats that he is the exact opposite at home. He said his wife is his harshest critic when he does not play a romantic role convincingly.

He told Saturday Beats that he and his sons are best of friends.

“If I give you any of my son’s phone number, he would tell you that I am his best friend in the house. I have two boys but when I get home, we all play like three boys in the house. My sons see me more as a friend; in fact, when they were still toddlers, I used to call them best friends. I have never flogged my children. I am fortunate to have good children who listen to us. Their mother is the tough one; she is the one with the iron hand,” Laniyan said.

A first class Nigerian graduate, who had been unemployed for two years since she left the university, has been offered employment after PREMIUM TIMES published a report on her.

Twenty-two-year-old Odufuwa Sola had almost given up and started learning tailoring at Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, before the job offer came.

The Physics Electronics graduate from the Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo State, took to Twitter in October to beg people to help her out, after her search for a job yielded no result.

Ms. Sola did not just make a first class but was the best graduating student in the university for that year with a 4.83 G.P.A. She had the honour of delivering a valedictory speech in the school.
Ms. Sola’s story underscored the unemployment crisis in the oil-rich Nigeria which is one of the largest economies in Africa.

Immediately the story was published, Adamu Garba, the CEO of IPI Solution Ltd, an IT firm with offices in Lagos and Abuja, reached out to Ms. Sola via Twitter and within days she was offered an employment in project development and IT solutions after a job interview. She has also been enrolled in a mentorship scheme by the company.
Ms. Sola is trying to settle down on her new job and a new life in Lagos.

“It’s actually a different field from what I learnt in school,” she said. “It’s all about programming.
“The company has done well by providing me with a new laptop, eBooks, and videos to aid my transition into the IT world.

“And I have colleagues around me who are always willing and ready to help. It’s challenging but I know with time I will adjust,” she said.
Ms. Sola said she loves her new job and that the pay was good for a start.

She thanked PREMIUM TIMES for doing a story on her and also thanked her new boss, Mr. Garba, for giving her the opportunity to work in the IT company.
Christopher Olowokere, the Head of Physics with Electronics department, Ajayi Crowther University, said he was aware that Ms. Sola had been offered a job. He expressed delight over it and also thanked the newspaper for the story.

The CEO of IPI Solution Ltd, Mr. Garba, who said he was moved by Ms. Sola’s story, said he picked her Twitter handle from the PREMIUM TIMES report.
“I just sent a Twitter message to her requesting to know if she was available for a job interview. She came in for the interview, she displayed a lot of potentials. She is an intelligent person, we said let’s give her the opportunity to start work immediately,” said Mr. Garba.
Mr. Garba said Ms. Sola now has a great opportunity for a promising career since “the future of the world’s economy is dependent on IT”.

He blamed Nigeria’s worsening unemployment situation on the government and the university system.
“The Nigerian universities do not teach the students how to apply knowledge,” he said, adding that Nigeria could create millions of jobs if only the government was willing to explore the potentials available in IT.
“These five companies, Facebook, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Apple combined have about $3.6 trillion in their pool.

“As I’m talking to you, Apples’ earnings now is twice bigger than Nigeria’s GDP. And this is a company of 66,000 staff, while Nigeria has more than 186 million people.

“What is the government doing to empower the local IT guys?” Mr. Garba said, while also advising the government regulatory agencies to stop implementing policies that block multinational IT companies from coming in to play big roles in the Nigerian market.
PREMIUM TIMES asked Ms. Sola about the lessons she has learnt from what has happened.

“I have learnt that I need to come out of my comfort zone, try something new, and take risks.
“There is also this Yoruba adage that says, ‘When you have a problem and you keep it to yourself and don’t share it with others, at times it won’t get solved,’” she said.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, November 23, 2017, arraigned a suspected Internet fraudster, Akpaikpe Etim, before Justice J.E. Oyefeso of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on an eight-count charge bordering on possession of fraudulent documents and obtaining money by false pretence.

Etim, 30, who is said to be a member of a syndicate of fraudsters operating in the Lekki area of Lagos, among other alleged offences, obtained the sum of $4,000 USD from a victim in Singapore, after posting a dog for sale on an online platform.

An investigation also revealed that the suspect, who does not have a stable job, had several inflows of money into his account, which he could not satisfactorily account for.

The suspect pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him. In view of his pleas, the prosecution counsel, Banjo James, asked for a trial date and prayed the court to remand the suspect in prison custody.

In his response, counsel to the defence, O.V. Adoro, urged the court to grant his client bail. However, the prosecution counsel opposed the bail application.

Consequently, Justice Oyefeso ordered the suspect to be remanded in Kirikiri Prisons and adjourned the case to February 18, 2018, for a hearing of bail application.

One of the Whistleblowers of the famed Ikoyi billions case has come out to reveal intricate details of his encounter with the Economic and financial crimes commission(EFCC) and the true series of events that occurred, leading to the discovery of over $43 million.

In a video obtained by PoliticsNGR, the whistleblower who goes by the name Abdulmumin Musa, an estate agent, revealed that he has lived in Ikoyi for over 20 years. He claims he regularly took clients to the Osborne towers apartment complex for inspection. He reveals that one of the security guards, Steven, called him one day to talk about something.

Steven informed Abdul that he suspects that a huge cache of money was stashed in Apartment 7 and even told Abdul of his plans to rob the place, But Abdul advised him to hold back and wait. The estate agent continues revealing that a group of bankers were responsible for bringing in the six safes used in keeping the money.

He says a woman was always visiting the apartment to take money. Abdul adds that he decided to report the issue to EFCC. He approached Steven and informed him of the plan to report to EFCC, and also called one of his fellow estate agents, Bala Usman about the plan. Usman introduced Abdul to one Sheriff who works with the EFCC. They reported the issue and nothing was done until a month later.

He expressed surprise when he read the headlines on his phone and decided to ask his fellow whistleblowers if they were contacted by the EFCC, they denied, saying they heard nothing. He then reveals that he mustered courage to go back to the EFCC and was surprised to know that the EFCC had contacted Steven, he then called Steven to inquire from him, Shockingly Steven admitted meeting with the EFCC and then told Abdul that a 'quarrel they had in Obalende' was the reason why he didn't inform him(Abdul).

Suprised, the estate agent pressed further and Steven revealed to him "that an account number had been sent to the ministry of finance that nothing could be done to include him(Abdul)". Steven revealed that he was given N500,000 on the same day of reporting the case and was lodged in a hotel. He then disclosed that he narrowly escaped being assassinated in the hotel after two armed men in suits stormed his hotel room, luckily for him, he was at the reception.

Former Manchester City forward Robinho has been sentenced to nine years in prison for sexual assault, according to Italian news agency ANSA.

Robinho was found guilty of assaulting a 22-year-old woman at a nightclub in Milan in 2013, when he played for AC Milan. Five other men have also been found guilty of the offence.

The 33-year-old, who has won 100 caps for Brazil, has denied the charges and now has the right to appeal.

A statement on Robinho's Instagram page on Thursday night said that he had "already defended himself against the charges, maintaining that he played no part in the incident"

Robinho became the most expensive player in British football when he joined Manchester City from Real Madrid for £32.5m in 2008.

However, he struggled to adapt to the Premier League and was sold to AC Milan for just £15m two years later after a loan spell at his hometown club Santos.

Robinho spent four seasons at the San Siro, during which the offence took place, before moving to Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande in 2015.

Former Director General of the Department of State Services, DSS, Ita Ekpenyong has reacted to his failed arrest by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), over alleged involvement in arm purchase for the Nigerian Military. An Unnamed source close to the former DGSS told Vanguard that the attempt to arrest Ita was strange, despicable and an afterthought since Ekpenyong was never invited or questioned in relation to the arms probe.

He explained that the former DG of the DSS has no business buying military equipment for the Military since they have their laid down procedures and policies.

According to him, two years after the Presidential Panel on the Arms Probe was inaugurated by President Buhari, no mention was made of the involvement of the DSS so it was strange when the EFCC came from nowhere to arrest the innocent man. He noted that since he has handed over to Mallam Lawal Daura, if the EFCC needs clarification on any matter that is within its jurisdiction, it should request such information from the current DGSS. Where the current DGSS cannot answer then he can be invited to make such clarification.

“EFCC had never before now invited or questioned the former DG on any criminal breach, only for its operatives to barge into his home, with a view to arresting him as a common criminal. Ekpenyong had made it clear that the DSS under his watch had no role whatsoever to play in the arms purchase since it was not within its remit to acquire arms for the military.

The DSS played no role at all in the arms purchase and that is the truth. The DG served this country faithfully and transparently and since leaving office in 2015, nobody has had any reason to accuse him of taking anything that does not belong to him. As a tradition, the DSS makes returns to the Presidency on March 1 every year on its operations and nothing done by the agency can, therefore, be hidden from the government.

Even assuming that there are issues with DSS management, which the EFCC needed to investigate, the current DSS DG is there to answer to such matters without storming Ekpeyong,s home with guns in the wee hours of the day. The equipment that were procured to secure this country during his tenure are there with their papers and the vendors are known. So, nothing is hidden.

It is apparent that the EFCC is either actuated by ulterior motives to intimidate and blackmail the DSS through orchestrated media trial or simply trying to dent the image of the Service and its personnel for reasons best known to them."

This apparent psychopath who really must have spent half his lifetime watching porn and fantasizing the ficticious play there, took to his social media page to educate ladies on how they can be raped.
