The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Office, on Tuesday, February 28, 2018, arraigned the duo of Ebiesuwa Abayomi Fredrick and Tinuola Idayat Oyegunle before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence.

The defendants were arraigned following a petition submitted to the Commission by a complainant, alleging that they masterminded the infamous dollar scheme to entrap her.

According to the complainant, sometimes in May 2013, she boarded a taxi with three other passengers who were purportedly members of a syndicate who specialized in hoodwinking unsuspecting victims with an impending danger. She alleged that she heard the three passengers arguing about a Ghana-must-go bag filled with US Dollars in the boot of the car.

She added that one of the syndicate told her that she must be cleansed to avert sudden and mysterious death having heard their discussion. At that point, she was taken to an unknown destination where she subsequently started giving the defendants, and the other members of the syndicate different sums in cash and bank payment totaling N53, 713, 260.00, which she allegedly got from the sale of her properties in both Ibadan and Lagos.

Meanwhile preliminary investigations revealed that over nine million naira (N9.1m) was paid to the second defendant, Tinuola Idayat Oyegunle account domicile in one of the third generation banks apart from other funds traced to the first defendant, Ebiesuwa Abayomi Fredrick personal account from the victim.

It was also discovered that he has built a hotel located at Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos State from the proceeds of the crime

The defendants however, pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against them.

The defendants accepted to take their plea without a legal representative. In view of their plea, prosecution counsel, Adeola Elumaro, prayed the court for a trial date and urged the court to remand the defendants in prison custody.
Justice Abdulmalik however, ordered that the defendants be remanded in the Federal Prison, Agodi. She thereafter, directed the defendants to get a legal representative by the next adjournment or else the court will get one for them.

The case is adjourned to 19th March, 2018 for trial.

The Niger State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers, Shehu Bida and Bello Mallam, who claimed that they went into robbery because there was recession in the country and the “government did not provide any job for people.”

The two suspects were arrested in Talba Estate, Bida town in the Bida Local Government Area of the state.

Our correspondent learnt that Buda, 20, and Mallam, 18, were trailed and apprehended by the police after robbing one Mohammed Mohammed of the sum of N7,400 and two handsets valued at N9,000.

The suspects confessed that they inflicted injuries on Mohammed before dispossessing him of his N7,400 and the two mobile phones.

Northern City News gathered that the hoodlums used a machete and planks to injure Mohammed on the head, for preventing them from raping his daughter.

Buda told our correspondent that he committed the crime due to the economic recession in the country.

“Many people are stealing in the country, including top government officials. People are dying of hunger and there is no job. What else do you expect me to do other than stealing?

“If am discharged by the police, I will still go back to rob people. The country is in a bad situation,” the suspect said unrepentantly.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar, told Northern City News on Tuesday, that the operatives recovered from the suspects the machete.

The police said the suspects would be charged to court at the end of investigation.

A former Governor of Cross River State, Mr Donald Duke, said on Tuesday he has not dropped his presidential ambition.

Duke stated this in a chat with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He said the speculations that he has dropped the presidential aspiration were untrue.

The ex-governor said he has not officially declared for the presidency for strategic reasons.

“Sometime ago, I said I will run for the presidency of the country if the opportunity presented itself.

“Yes, my presidential ambition is still intact. I am only waiting for the opportunity to present itself to make the right move,’’ he said.

Asked on what platform he would run, since he was a member of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s inspired “Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM),” he said it was too early to decide on the matter.

He, however, said he was still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“I am still a member of the PDP, at the same time a member of the coalition which is not a political party.

“The coalition will definitely align with a political party to achieve its goals, otherwise it will make no sense.

“I can’t say yet the platform on which I will run if the opportunity presents itself. We are still watching and will take the right step at the right time,’’ he added.

On the abductions and killings in some parts of the country, Duke described the situation as disturbing.

He urged the relevant authorities to confront the problem head on for the peace and stability of the nation.

A 15-year-old pupil, Idris, has been arrested by the police in Lagos for allegedly belonging to the Aiye Confraternity.

Idris, a Junior Secondary School one pupil at a private school in the Orile area of the state, was paraded along with 56 other suspected cult members at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja on Monday.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspects were rounded up on Thursday at Elemoro, in the Ajah area by the police and members of a vigilance group in the community.

The cult had gone inside a bush some distance away from Eleko Beach, Ajah, to perform initiation rites for new members, including Idris, who had tattoos on his chest and hand.

They were about to complete the rites when the operatives swooped on them around 4am.

Two locally-made cut-to-size guns, three live cartridges and 22 expended cartridges were reportedly recovered from them.

Idris, a resident of Arowoyabuna Street, Orile, told our correspondent that an unnamed neighbour had approached him on Wednesday and taken him to a bar to drink.

He said, “A man in my community bought a drink for me. After we finished drinking, he asked me to follow him to Eleko Beach for a party. When we got there, they covered my face and took me inside a bush. They used an object to pierce my thumb and collected some blood.

“As we were about to leave around 4am on Thursday, I heard gunshots and the police arrested us. I have not been told the name of the cult.”

He said the inscription, ‘Baba Bose,’ tattooed on his chest, was an expression of love for his girlfriend, identified as Bose.

Another suspect, 23-year-old Eze Michael, explained that his friend, one Kelechukwu, lured him into the bush on the pretext that they were going for an event.

The Ebonyi State indigene said, “Kelechukwu invited me to an event at Eleko Beach. When we got there, he said we would have to wait till late evening. When it was 10pm, he took me inside a bush. I met so many people there. They beat us. They told us to lie down and raise our hands.

“They threatened to shoot us if we did not cooperate. Immediately they cut my thumb, I heard gunshots from the police and everybody started running helter-skelter.

“Some OPC members beat us up. Kelechukwu did not explain anything to me before we got to the bush. But I learnt the group is Aiye Confraternity.”

Adedayo Obabiyi, 25, from Ogun State, said he and his siblings had attended a birthday party at the beach and were returning home when some hoodlums attacked them.

“They collected our phones and ATM cards and blindfolded us. They took us to an unknown place. When we got there, I heard a lot of voices. They pierced our thumbs,” he added.

The state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, lamented increasing involvement of youths in cultism.

He, however, said the command had initiated a clampdown on cult members, adding that those arrested would be prosecuted.

The CP said, “Based on credible intelligence that members of the dreaded Aiye Confraternity were performing their initiation rites at a shrine in a thick forest in Abule Egbanu, in the Elemoro, Aja area of Lagos, the Divisional Police Officer, SP Mohammed Limawa, mobilised his men. The DPO received support from the undercover operatives of the Area J, Elemoro, and the men of the Anti-Cultism Unit of the command. Together, they stormed the area and arrested 57 members of the notorious Aiye Confraternity.

“Some of them were not in their right senses at the time of the arrest due to drug overdose. Items recovered from the suspects include two Suzuki mini buses with number plates, LND 893 XV and EPE 189 XV, respectively, one Volkswagen bus, one Mitsubishi space wagon marked, SMK 455 AL, and two Toyota Camry cars with number plates, BD 760 DH and LSD 506 EC.”

Imohimi also paraded three suspected members of a cult that allegedly killed an official of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps, Monsuru Bolaji, on Wednesday in the Aguda, Surulere area of the state.

He said the suspects, Muyideen Bello, Wasiu Adio and Nurudeen Odofin, had confessed to participating in the murder of the father of two children, noting that an axe and a knife with bloodstains reportedly recovered from them had been sent to a forensic unit for analysis.

“It is interesting to note that one of the suspects, Wasiu Adio, aka Trouble, further confessed that he was a senior member of Eiye Confraternity and that he and members of his group killed one Timothy in Aguda, Surulere, sometime in October 2017. Investigation into the case is in progress and further findings will be made public. The suspects will surely have their day in court at the end of investigations,” Imohimi added.

But the suspects denied involvement in cult activities and in the murder of the LNSC official.

Bello claimed that Bolaji was his friend and that he took him to a hospital for treatment after he was attacked on that day.

He said, “After he died, I took him to the Aguda Police Station from the hospital.  He (Bolaji) was my childhood friend; we went to the same primary school.”

Odofin, 39, said he was the chairman of commercial motorcycle riders in Aguda, while Bolaji was the secretary, aside from being a security official.

He stated that some cult members had been on their trail since December 2017 for allegedly giving the police information about cult activities in the area.

He said, “After I observed Ishai (Islamic 8pm prayers) that day, I was relaxing in front of my house when I heard gunshots. A boy came to tell me that some cult members were running after somebody on the street. After about 15 minutes, I heard that somebody had been killed.

“I ran to the scene and discovered that Monsuru (Bolaji) was the victim. It was Gafar, Adura and their gang members who killed him. In October 2017, they also killed one boy called Timothy. That was when the problem started because the boy’s father was related to me. They started chasing Monsuru and me. We reported at the Aguda Police Station and the LNSC office.

“They said anytime we saw those boys we should report them. We didn’t see them until that evening when Monsuru was killed.”

The third suspect, Adio, said he was a family friend of the deceased, adding that he was at home when some LNSC officials arrested him for Bolaji’s death.

A well meaning Nigerian was touched after seeing a woman and her 10-year-old daughter sleeping on the road in front of a bank in Lagos. According to an online report, the woman was chased out of the house along with her daughter by her husband for failing to produce a male child.

It was reported that the man even married a new wife in order to achieve his "dream" of having a male child.

Prince Gwamnishu Harrison who met the woman sleeping on the road helped her to the best of his ability.

He took to Facebook to share her story. Below is what he wrote;

TEARS SEEING MOTHER AND CHILD SLEEP IN FRONT OF BANK IN LAGOS.

Arrived Lagos State this morning at 2:07am and surprise to see a woman and her 10yr old daughter sleeping in front of a Bank.

I observed them from afar, came closer to avoid waking a mad woman. I woke them up and ask to know why they were sleeping in such a place.

she opened up and told me she has been sleeping there for two nights.

HER STORY
"Trouble started when my husband brought in a new wife because i couldn't have a male child. Last week Saturday at about 1:00am, he woke me and my Daughter (Amara), told us to leave his house in presence of his new wife. I didn't utter any word, no fight, he helped me parked my things out and that of my daughter. My luggage was much so I left some at the Security Post. I had nowhere to go at that godly hour except traveling back to Imo State but have no transport and even where to stay in Imo State". (Story Cut)

Her story touched my inner heart and gave out few Naira for her to transport herself back home. I would have love to see her husband but am not a marriage counselor.

One of Nigeria’s top financial institutions, First Bank of Nigeria Limited has reacted to the recent trend of animal swallowing public funds in Nigeria. The reportage of snake swallowing N36m at a JAMB Office and a monkey eating another N70m instead of Banana took a viral dimension with Nigerians extending it to almost every aspect of national and personal lives.

A twitter user with the handle, @officialrohkip had tweeted thus:

“With the way animals swallow money now, I will have to close my @FirstBankngr account. I don’t trust that elephant on their logo….”.

Acknowledging the power of the social media and the probable impacts that may have on its customer base, the bank addressed the issue in a separate tweet saying:

“The Elephant on our logo represents trust, integrity, dependability, and loyalty. Let your First Bank account remain open. We are your trusted ally. #Stillstanding #Stilldependable #YouFirst .

Unlike the snake and monkey alleged to have swallowed money, First Bank restated that the elephant on its logo does not swallow customers’ deposits.

Here are photos from the wedding of the man who married two ladies on the same day in Abia state. The man identified as Master Ejindu became an online sensation after his wedding posters with his women -were shared online. The man was in an elated mood as he tied the knot to his lovely ladies; Miss Oyediya and Miss Ebere on Sunday 25th February, 2018 at Agbala Amangwu Amogudu in Abiriba, Abia State. Congratulations to them.

25-year-old Ezeibekwe who works in a secondary school in the Aguata LGA of Anambra state said that God “sanctioned” the marriage to his sister.

A Mathematics teacher, Chiadi Ezeibekwe, has revealed that he married his younger sister who is reportedly 17-years-old.
Instablog9ja reports that 25-year-old Ezeibekwe who works in a secondary school in the Aguata LGA of Anambra state said that God “sanctioned” the marriage to his sister.

According to the reports, angry youths burned down the church where the brother and sister were reportedly wedded.

The Sabbath church was reportedly located in the teacher’s compound.

Discussing the controversial topic with Vanguard, the teacher who is the sixth of 10 children said, “I am a Sabbath and in searching through the scriptures, I discovered that one could marry his sibling.

"So, we went ahead with the arrangement to marry my younger sister. God told me to marry my sister and she also saw same vision. There are places in the Bible that support such marriage.

"Those in doubt should read Songs of Solomon chapters 4 and 5 and 1st Corinthians Chapter 7. Since we took this decision, I have not felt anything unusual, or felt that I did anything wrong. .

"In the school where I teach, many people ask me about it and I boldly refer them to the Bible. Besides, by marrying one’s sibling, there will not be the possibility of introducing ugly situations, like diseases or social vices into the family.”

The traditional prime minister, Gabriel Ezeukwu, said the angry youths had initially considered “subjecting the couple to rituals” as punishment.

He added that everyone was relieved to learn that the girl is not yet pregnant.

“Before coming to me, they were considering various options, including whether to involve the police, resort to jungle justice or parade those involved round the town before subjecting them to other rituals.

"However, I ensured that the girl in question was subjected to a rigorous pregnancy test to ascertain that she had not been impregnated by her brother and, after several tests, it was confirmed that she was not pregnant, which is a relief,” he said.

Incest: A rising trend?

The word incest exists because sexual relations between blood relatives happen. Bible scholars can point out to a few cases of incest in the Old Testament. And if you are not into religion at least you watch "Game Of Thrones" and can see freaky things happened between a brother and his sister back in the day.

At the heart of this story is that are we born with the knowledge that incest is bad or is it something that must be taught by parents?

Granted sex education in Nigeria is nothing to write home about. As a young Nigerian, you are expected to figure out hormones and puberty by yourself. The closest you can get to an explanation is when your Biology teacher gets to the Reproduction part of the syllabus.

Our prudish attitude towards sex reflects on issues such as sexual consent, rape, sexual violation amongst others. We don't talk about sex. We just know people have it.

Without sexual education it's hard to believe that some kids do not see incest as a taboo of sorts. Every human being has a moral consciousness, a conscience you might say wired in his or her DNA.

Children know killing is bad because they are born with a moral framework of good and bad. Our parents didn't have to lecture us that killing is wrong. We just know. I would like to believe the same goes with incest.

However, one cannot dismiss the numerous tales of siblings sleeping with each other. There are too many sordid stories of incest on the Internet.

These stories will make you wonder if parents have a role to play so that their children don't engage in incestsexual relationships?

In more advanced nations, we have seen cases of  brothers and sisters having an affair.

In a bid to hide his alleged amorous relationship with a 25-year-old member of his church, a pastor, Chidiebere Okoroafor, has allegedly murdered three persons and an unborn child in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The 32-year-old pastor and preacher at Altar of Solution Church based in Oyigbo area of the city was recently arrested by men of the Rivers State Police Command for the alleged crime, which also led to the death of a nine-month-old baby.

Those allegedly killed by the cleric are Concilia Ezeawa and Uluoma Onweagba, who was carrying a five-month pregnancy before her death. While the cleric strangled Ezeawa in an uncompleted building, the pregnant Onweagba was killed in a bush during the serial murder that happened on December 11, 2017.

The nine-month-old baby, Christabel Joseph, was strapped to the back of the pregnant Onweagba even though Ezeawa was the actual mother. Saturday PUNCH learnt that the baby hit her head on the ground and died when the pastor allegedly pushed Onweagba to the ground.

Pastor Okoroafor, who hails from Arochukwu in Abia State, was said to have committed the offence in his desperate attempt to hide the fact that he had impregnated 25-year-old Onweagba.

It was gathered that the Rivers State Police Command began to suspect the pastor when it got information from one of the neighbours of the deceased that they (Ezeawa and Onweagba) had been missing since they said they were going to see him (pastor) to sort out a matter bordering on pregnancy.

Speaking with journalists on Friday at the State Police Command in Port Harcourt, the Deputy State Commissioner of Police in charge of administration, Cyril Okoro, said, “The case started unfolding on December 11, 2017. At about 11am, the whereabouts of Concilia Ezeawa, Christabel Joseph and Uluoma Onweagba (all female) became unknown to their families.

“This resulted in the lodging of a formal complaint on their disappearance at the Afam Divisional Headquarters. After a preliminary investigation by the police, coupled with a diligent search by members of the community, the decomposing body of Uluoma Onweagba and Christabel Joseph (baby) were discovered in a bush along the Afam-Igberu Road on December 13, 2017.

“Their corpses were immediately evacuated and deposited at the mortuary pending further investigation. On December 18, 2017, the decomposing corpse of the real mother of the baby, Concilia Ezeawa, was recovered in an uncompleted building in Izuoma community in Oyigbo Local Government Area. The corpse, which was at an advanced stage of decomposition, was evacuated and deposited at the mortuary pending further police investigation.

“The pastor, who was said to have been involved in amorous relationship with one of the deceased, Onweagba, was invited and interrogated about the murders of the victims.

“He was subsequently detained, as his explanations were not convincing, particularly compared to the information at the disposal of investigators that the deceased persons had, on December 11, 2017, informed neighbours that they were going to see the pastor over a pregnancy issue involving Onweagba.”

DCP Okoro said the pastor later confessed to the crime after he was confronted with overwhelming evidence linking him to the murders of the deceased persons.

Okoroafor allegedly took advantage of the trust the two members of his church had in him to lure them to an uncompleted building and inside the bush respectively, before killing them.

The pastor, according to Okoro, first lured Ezeawa to an uncompleted building, telling the other person (pregnant Onweagba) to wait some distance away. He added that unknown to the pregnant lady, the pastor had killed her neighbour.

He said after strangling Ezeawa in the uncompleted building, he (pastor) joined Onweagba along Afam Road, where they both took a commercial tricycle to Afam Roundabout.

Okoro said, “They again took a commercial motorcycle to an isolated farm on Igberu Road where he took her through a track road and gruesomely murdered her in the bush, with the baby strapped to her back.

“She (pregnant Onweagba) was suffocated with the wrapper she used in strapping the baby to her back. The baby was also found dead.”

Okoro said the suspect’s confessional statement took detectives to the various scenes, during which he narrated how he killed the victims.

The police officer also said that an autopsy had since been carried out on the victims.

“The murders were premeditated, callous and devoid of sympathy,” Okoro said, adding that the pastor will soon be charged to court.

However, when confronted with the allegations against him, the pastor told journalists that his action was not intentional. The suspect pleaded with the police to help appeal to the families of those he killed to forgive him. He also told journalists that he had a vision that he would be taken to court soon.

“I want the family of Uluoma and Mr. Joseph (father of the nine-month-old baby, Christabel) to forgive me. I want the police to help me to apologise to the families of those I killed. It was not intentional,” he said.

Meanwhile, our correspondent gathered that the Altar of Solution Church had been shut down, as members of the church who heard about the incident had since dissociated themselves from the church.

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has been charged by the Football Association for breaching the kit and advertising regulations with a political message in the form of a yellow ribbon.

The ribbon symbolises the support of imprisoned Catalan politicians following civil unrest in Barcelona amid the province's independence referendum.  "Pep Guardiola has been charged for wearing a political message, specifically a yellow ribbon, in breach of The FA’s kit and advertising regulations," a statement from the FA read.

The 47-year-old now has until Monday, March 5 to respond to the charges set by English football's governing body. According to the ?BBC, the FA had already spoken to Guardiola about the issue in mid-December, and two formal warnings were ignored.

The report claims that the charge was then triggered during City's shock FA Cup exit to Wigan Athletic on Monday, where once again the ribbon was visible.

When asked about the ribbon in November, the Catalan man stated: "If one day in prison was already too much, look how many days they've been there now. Like everybody knows, hopefully, sooner or later I can stop wearing it. All the politicians that are in prison, I hope they can leave and go back home soon with their families and continue living the lives they deserve."

Guardiola's support for the exiled politicians was thrown into the spotlight once again last week, with Spanish news outlet ?AS claiming police searched the City boss' plane in El Prat airport, Barcelona in the hunt for leader Carles Puigdemont.

An official of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps, Monsuru Bolaji, has been murdered by some suspected cult members in the Aguda, Surulere area of the state.

Bolaji, a Corps Assistant 1, was reportedly stabbed in the neck and left for dead around 9pm on Wednesday.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the deceased, who was on night duty on that day, was preparing to resume work when a five-man gang ambushed him.

A source close to the deceased said the assailants had been on the trail of the victim for sometime.

He noted that they had accused him of giving information to the police on their cult activities.

The source explained that as Bolaji was going to join a patrol van that would take him and his colleagues to their respective duty posts, the gun-wielding assailants opened fire on him.

He said, “He was on night duty. He had left his house in uniform, not knowing that some people had been trailing him. On his way to meet his colleagues, who had been waiting for him in an operational van, they shot at him.

“He ran towards a bar to seek protection, but they continued the shooting. People who were watching the Champions League match between Manchester United and Sevilla at that time fled.

“The hoodlums eventually held him at a pole in front of the bar and stabbed him in the neck. He was rushed to a hospital in the community, where he was confirmed dead on arrival. The gang accused him of being a police informant.”

A security agent, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the gang had threatened the victim that he would not see the end of February.

“We don’t have any clue that he had any issue with those hoodlums until he was killed. I learnt that the cult members had threatened to kill him before the end of this month. I don’t think he took their threat seriously,” the official said.

A colleague of the deceased described him as a diligent and intelligent officer, saying that his death was a great loss to his family and the corps.

She said, “I was very sad when I visited his family today (Thursday). He is survived by a pregnant wife, two children of about five and three years old, respectively and parents. Monsuru (Bolaji) was a dedicated and courageous officer and he would be greatly missed.”

The spokesperson for the LSNSC, Adewale Afolabi, could not be reached for comment on the incident.

But the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chike Oti, confirmed the murder in a statement on Thursday, adding that the state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, had visited the deceaded’s family.

Oti said, “The Lagos State CP, Edgal Imohimi, visited the Aguda-Surulere office of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps to commiserate with the officials on the death of their colleague, who was killed on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 around 9.30pm at Umunede Bar, on Mallam Isah Close, Aguda, Surulere, by a gang of five cult members.

“Similarly, the CP paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased. In his message to the bereaved family, the CP told them that the entire Lagos State Police Command shared in their grief and assured them that the command would leave no stone unturned to  unravel the killers of the late Monsuru Bolaji.”

The PPRO stated that the command had commenced investigation into the case and three suspects had been arrested.

He added that the CP had deployed operatives in the area to beef up security.

“To this end, the CP directed a contingent of Special Anti-Robbery Squad personnel and the personnel of the command’s Anti-Cultism Squad to relocate to Census Police Outpost, Aguda, Surulere, with immediate effect.

“He also mandated them to take the fight to the criminal enclaves of the cult members and fish out the killers of the late official. So far, the three suspects arrested in connection with the case are undergoing interrogation at the command’s Anti-Cultism Squad office,” he added.

The Rapid Response Squad has shared shocking images showing what happens to drivers and road users after alcohol consumption in a bid to reduce the rate of road accidents. The unit shared the pictures in order to urge citizens to be careful when enjoying themselves and driving due to increase in the numbers of accidents on Friday and Saturday nights and early morning.

Few weeks ago, two friends who were driving through Awolowo in Front of Alausa Secretariat, very early on Saturday from Fela Shrine had an accident. Their vehicle left its lane, crossed the median to the other lane only to be stopped by kerb.

While the driver after the accident adjusted his seat and slept off, his friend in the passenger’s seat tried to escape the scene. He was chased and arrested by RRS officers stationed close to the accident point.

Also, few months ago, three RRS officers on night patrol on a Friday were put in near death circumstance by a drunken driver coming from 3rd Mainland Bridge just after Ogudu. They survived with several permanent scars but their vehicle was outright wreckage.

Recently, Tade, drunk and driving on 3rd Mainland Bridge had to be guided to a stop by RRS riders on night patrol who sensed danger with the manner the vehicle was swerving and hugging the road.

Already, he had badly damaged a Nissan car and didn’t stop. One of the riders, had to drive the vehicle to RRS Headquarters in Alausa, where Tade was brought out of his Lexus 300 completely drunk and not responding to questions. His wife was contacted as she came late in the night to drive him home.
