Facebook and Instagram have banned aubergine and peach emojis as well as the water drip, for being too ‘sexually suggestive.’

According to the social media giants, the change is part of an update to Facebook’s Sexual Solicitation Community Standards, which are aimed at sex workers who use the platforms to sell their services.

The emojis, which are widely known to represent a penis (aubergine), bum (peach), and ejaculation (water drip), will still be allowed in captions, but can no longer be used in a manner that suggests or asks for anything sexual.

Facebook explained: “People use Facebook to discuss and draw attention to sexual violence and exploitation. We recognise the importance of and want to allow for this discussion.

“We draw the line, however, when content facilitates, encourages or coordinates sexual encounters between adults.

“We also restrict sexually explicit language that may lead to solicitation because some audiences within our global community may be sensitive to this type of content and it may impede the ability for people to connect with their friends and the broader community.”

Nigerian man rants as his fiancee joins the waist bead challenge without his consent

While some social media users are defending the lady stating it is her body and she can flaunt it wherever she wants, others are saying she disrespected her man since they are in a serious relationship.

The Federal Government on Tuesday said it was working on how to inject sanity into social media which it said was currently out of control.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, disclosed this at a press conference in Abuja.

Mohammed said no responsible government would sit back and allow such activities capable of setting the country on fire to continue unchecked.

“It has reached a level that the government may just no longer fold its arms and allow this to continue,” he said.

The minister also said no amount of attacks or criticism would stop the government from implementing the tougher sanctions for broadcast stations who breach the nation’s broadcast code especially as it concerns the dissemination of fake news as well as inciteful and divisive comments which were approved by President Muhammadu Buhari recently.

He assured stakeholders that responsible journalists have nothing to fear as the government’s intention is not to gag the media.

He said the intention of the government was to restore sanity to the nation’s airwave.

He continued: “Gentlemen, since we launched our reform of the broadcast industry, many Nigerians have reached out to us, demanding that we also look into how to sanitize the Social Media space. “I can assure you that we are also working on how to inject sanity into the Social Media space which, today, is totally out of control.

” No responsible government will sit by and allow fake news and hate speech to dominate its media space, because of the capacity of this menace to exploit our national fault lines to set us against each other and trigger a national conflagration.

“That is why we will continue to evolve ways to tackle fake news and hate speech until we
banish both.

“Therefore, Gentlemen, we once again seek your support for our efforts to banish fake news and hate speech from our media space.”

“You are conscienceless, wicked, an animal, and not fit to walk on the streets”, Justice Sybil Nwaka told convicted Chrisland School, VGC, Lekki paedophile, Adegboyega Adenekan as she handed down a 60 year-jail sentence to him.

Justice Nwaka delivered the verdict at Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court on Thursday after finding 47 year-old Adenekan guilty of defiling a toddler after more than 21 months of trial.

Adenekan was arraigned on Jan. 29, 2018, on a count charge of defiling a two-year and 11-month pupil of Chrisland School, Victoria Garden City (VGC), Lagos State. He pleaded not guilty.

In a two-hour and 15-minute judgment, Nwaka said that the prosecution proved its case beyond reasonable doubt and advised schools to ensure due diligence while hiring teachers.

The judge held that Adenekan abused the trust of children in his care as well as the trust of their parents.

“Schools should not only be interested in economic gain but also the welfare of pupils. Schools should not cover up teachers who sexually abuse children.

“Parents should not be carried away by the aesthetics of schools.

“This case may just be the tip of the iceberg as a lot of our children are suffering in silence,” she said.

The judge advised parents to be bold enough to confront teachers and school management when necessary.

“A lot of our children are suffering in silence. I advise or recommend that the education and social welfare ministries should visit schools randomly to give them a check.

“This defendant is conscienceless, wicked, an animal and not fit to walk on the streets.

“I hereby sentence Adegboyega Adenekan to 60 years’ imprisonment; this is the sentence of the court.”

Before convicting Adenekan, Nwaka said that the pupil had high intelligence quotient and could give a vivid and consistent narration of how she was defiled by Adenekan while she was wearing her school uniform.

The judge noted that the child testified that she was defiled twice by Adenekan – once in his office and the second time in a hall.

Nwaka said that the essential ingredients to prove a charge of defilement was that the defendant had sexual intercourse with a child under 11 years, and that there was penetration into the vagina.

She noted that the evidence of defilement is the same as that of rape but said that, in defilement, it is immaterial if it was with or without the consent of the child.

She said: “Sexual intercourse can be by hand, penis, cucumber or any blunt object.

” Sexual intercourse is essentially the insertion of the penis into the vagina for pleasure, reproduction or both.

“There are other types of sexual intercourse; oral sex, anal sex or fingering.

“In our present case, the victim said Adenekan put his finger in her ‘wee-wee’ (vagina), put his ‘wee-wee’ ( penis) in her ‘wee-wee’, and his mouth in her ‘wee-wee’.

“In our present case, there is certainty of penetration. Penetration, however slight, is sufficient; it is not necessary if injury is caused or the hymen ruptured.

“Penetration was corroborated by Exhibits E1 to E3; the evidence of the victim was not unshaken as to who put his ‘wee-wee’ in her ‘wee-wee’.”

According to the judge, the convict is the only Mr Adenekan in the school.

“A medical report corroborated the evidence of the victim,” she added.

The judge noted said that the defendant admitted in his evidence-in-chief that he had contact with three children of the school including the victim, and that the other two children were withdrawn from the school.

“I totally disagree with the defence’s submission that the evidence of the victim is not corroborated.

“He confirmed knowing three children (the victim and two of her friends). These children revolved around Adenekan, and he is a recurring decimal among these three children.

“For some unknown and strange reasons, the two other children were withdrawn by their parents from the school.

“The defendant admitted visiting the children in their classroom despite the fact that it is not allowed for the defendant to visit the girl-child in classroom.

“The defendant admitted knowing the victim and said she was intelligent.

“The prosecution has, for the satisfaction of the court, proved beyond reasonable doubt, the guilt of the defendant, and the defendant is accordingly convicted,” she held.

After Adenekan’s conviction, defence counsel, Mr Richard Abdullahi, told the court that he would not plead for mercy.

“We have no allocutus (plea for mercy), we will leave sentencing to the discretion of my lord,” he said.

Addressing the court, Mr Babajide Boye, lead prosecution counsel, asked the court to hand down a stiff sentence that would serve as a deterrent to other perpetrators of defilement.

“Perpetuators of child sexual offences are very secretive. Prosecution wants to assure parents that they are never alone.

“Prosecution wants to encourage parents to always listen to their children when they talk about their experiences and encounters with perpetrators.

“My lord, from my experience as a prosecutor of sexual offences, children, especially those of tender years, do not tell lies.

“We, therefore, want to encourage parents to speak out more; they should not cover up because the effects of abuse are devastating on survivors,” he said.

After the court passed the sentence and rose, Adenekan, while still in the dock, shouted: “Glory be to God”, three times.

As he was led away by a prison officer, he said: “God, You know I am innocent; I hand over this judgment of the court to you. Praise the Lord!”

During the trial, seven witnesses including the pupil and her mother testified for the prosecution which closed its case on March 14.

Five witnesses, including the convict and the head teacher of the nursery arm of Chrisland School, testified for defence.

Defence closed its case on June 26.

The prosecution had submitted that Adenekan committed the offence sometime in November 2016 at Chrisland School, VGC, Lagos, when he defiled the toddler by having unlawful sexual intercourse with her, in contravention of Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The section provides for life sentence for anyone convicted of defiling a child.

The police in Ogun State have arrested a 56-year-old suspected quack doctor, Jamiu Salahudeen, for allegedly performing an abortion that led to the death of a housewife, Mrs Kehinde Olakitan.

The suspect was arrested after the deceased’s husband reported to the police at the Onipanu division.

He was said to have received a call from one Dupe Odebunmi, who claimed to be a nurse, that his wife was sick and admitted to a medical facility, Mojisola Maternity Clinic.

On getting to the clinic, the deceased’s husband could not find anybody there.

However, on his way back home, he was said to have discovered his wife’s corpse in front of a building near his house.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said after the man reported, the DPO Onipanu, SP Magdalene Adeniji, detailed detectives to launch a manhunt for the operator of the maternity centre.

He said their efforts yielded result when Salahudeen was arrested on October 24, 2019.

“Upon interrogation, the suspect admitted to carrying out an abortion on the deceased, who was brought to him by her friend, Dupe Odebunmi, and said the deceased, a mother of four, died in the process.

“He confessed further that it was out of fear that he dumped the corpse in the front of a house near the woman’s residence,” Oyeyemi said.

He added that Kehinde’s corpse had been deposited in the mortuary of the General Hospital, Ota, for autopsy.

The police spokesman noted that the state Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama, had ordered the transfer of the suspect to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, for further investigation and prosecution.

Oyeyemi said the CP appealed to members of the public to always patronise qualified medical practitioners whenever they had health issues instead of seeking medical assistance from quacks.

Two sisters on Monday narrated before an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court how their middle-aged father allegedly defiled them at knife point in their home.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the teenagers testified at the start of their father’s trial on two counts of defilement.

Led in evidence by prosecution counsel, Mrs. Arinola Momoh-Ayokanbi, they told the court that their father had seven children comprising five females and two males.

They testified that the defendant started abusing his four oldest daughters sexually after their mother died during childbirth in 2008.

One of them, who testified as the first prosecution witness (PW1) said the incest started when they lived at a barracks in Lagos.

“My father started fingering us at nighttime when we were sleeping.

“When we moved out of the barracks to the house my father built at Iyana-Era in Lagos, he continued fingering my sister in a bedroom we shared.

“Later, my father progressed to leaving his bedroom and lying between us, groping us.

“If we woke up, he would ask why we were awake and why he was in our bedroom; he threatened to beat us and send us away.

“One night, he came to our room and asked us to separate ourselves. I went to the sitting room while my sister was in the room.

“He approached me and said if I did not allow him to have sex with me, he would use a knife and hammer to injure me.

“He started slapping me, and I allowed him to have sex with me; after it happened, I cried bitterly,” she said.

The second witness, now 18 years old, while testifying as the third prosecution witness, told the court that she and her sister went to their village after their mother’s demise.

She said that, on return to Lagos, she noticed that one of her older sisters had run away from home.

“I asked what happened, and we were told she had run away from home because our father was having sex with her.

“My lord, not up to a year after our return from the village, our father started fingering us.

“My sister and I shared the same bedroom, he started separating us at night; he would tell my sister to stay in the sitting room while I would be in the bedroom. He would have sex with me in the bedroom and threaten me with a knife,” she said.

Both sisters told the court that they reported the alleged incest to a member of their church who took them to the Ijanikin Police Station.

“The Police summoned our father and interrogated him, and he lied that he did not do anything. A policewoman told him to allow us to lock our bedroom door at night.

“We came back home from the Police station at nighttime; our father knocked on our door and said if we would not open the door, he would use the hammer or knife to injure us.

“We refused to open the door and did not sleep that night till the following day,” she testified.

Testifying, her sister said, “At the Police station, we said we did not want him arrested but we did not want to be in the house with him, we wanted to stay far away from him.

“The Divisional Police Officer gave us his phone number to call him in case of trouble.

“When we returned home, my father continued to forcefully have sex with me. I called the DPO and he said there was nothing he could do because it was a family matter.”

The sisters said they contacted their church member and he got in touch with their family members in the village about the alleged incest.

They said their extended family in the village requested that they should come to the village with their father.

They said that while at the village, their father denied the incest and left them in the village to return to Lagos. They told the court that they missed a term of school while at the village.

The sisters said that on their return to Lagos, their father while attempting to take them back to their secondary school was questioned by the school authorities on why they missed a term.

The witnesses said their father told the school authorities that they were taken to the village because they were troublesome.

They said that in a desperate bid not to return to the home they shared with their father, they told the teacher their ordeal, and he informed the school authorities which got their father arrested.

“Our school counsellor was summoned and our father was taken to the Ijanikin Police Station. From our school, we were taken to the Pastor Bimbo Odukoya Foundation at Ilupeju, Lagos.

“My sister and I were then taken to a home at Maryland which belongs to a Foundation (name withheld) where we are currently staying.

“We also went to Mirabel Centre to undergo some tests, and the results showed that we were defiled,” she said.

While being cross-examined by defence counsel, Mrs. Adeshola Bello, the sisters said that the defendant also committed incest with their two older sisters.

One of them said: “My father is harsh to me, though I do not hate him because he is my father.

“When he came to finger us at night and discovered we were wearing panties, he would tear our underwear.

“He had been doing it to my older siblings; since my oldest sister did not do anything about it, I kept quiet.”

The other teenager, said: “My father did not start with me, he started with my eldest sister.

“I was aware of it because when I was young while we still lived in the barracks, we all used to sleep in the same room and I used to see him touching her.”

The youngest daughter of the defendant, aged 14 years, while testifying as the fourth prosecution witness (PW4), told the court that she never knew her father defiled her older sisters.

“When we got to the Police station, we were told that my father defiled my older sisters. I never knew this because I was not defiled by him,” she said.

While being cross-examined, she testified that she usually slept in the same bedroom with her father and youngest brother.

“He is a good father though he is sometimes harsh and hot-tempered,” she said.

Mr. Gbenga Gbadebo, the second prosecution witness and a teacher to PW1 and PW3, told the court that the incest came to light when the defendant was being asked by the school principal why his children went to the village and as a result missed a term of school.

He said that the sisters revealed the alleged offence to a female teacher while their father was questioned by school authorities.

He added that investigation by the school authorities revealed he committed incest with four of his five daughters.

He said that one of the daughters told the school authorities that the first daughter was like a wife to her father,” Gbadebo said.

Justice Abiola Soladoye adjourned the case until November 19 for continuation of trial.

NAN reports that during arraignment on the two counts of defilement on June 24, Justice Soladoye had ordered that the defendant be remanded at the Kirikiri Prisons.

NAN reports that Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, stipulates life imprisonment for defilement.

A shocking video shows the moment a taxi driver brought out his male member and began stroking it while he was driving a female passenger in Abuja.

The driver is seen with one hand on the gear stick and the other on the steering wheel. All this while, his male member is erect but hidden by his black t-shirt.

After a while, he removes his hand from the steering wheel and places it on his male member, then strokes it through his shirt. Later, he pushes his shirt aside, exposing his naked penis and he begins masturbating, not minding the female passenger in his car.

"The rubbish I witnessed today in a taxi in abj," the female passenger wrote on Twitter as she shared the video.

Senator Stella Oduah diverted part of N9.5 billion fund for security equipment at airports during her tenure as Minister of Aviation, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said.

Senator Oduah, who was Minister of Aviation between 2012 and 2014, allegedly connived with banks officials to perpetrate the fund diversion and allegedly used the money to procure broadcast equipment for Crystal Television Ltd., newspaper printing press, six dredgers and quarry.

The anti-graft agency made these claims in an affidavit to support a suit filed before the Federal High Court against the senator.

The EFCC has already secured an interim forfeiture order on the items allegedly procured with the diverted fund. The order was granted on October 18 by Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Abuja Division of the FHC. The case will come up for further proceedings on November 19.

The agency said some of the dredgers and other items are being kept in many parts of the country, particularly in Bayelsa, Rivers and the Federal Capital Territory.

USA President Donald.J. Trump has revealed the picture of the dog that chased ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi into the dead-end tunnel, where he detonated his suicide vest, killing himself and three children.

President Trump was cautious enough not to reveal the name of the military dog or the breed.

The dog is reported to have wounded in the blast but is recovering, military sources said.

We have declassified a picture of the wonderful dog (name not declassified) that did such a GREAT JOB in capturing and killing the Leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi!

It is however suggested that the unnamed dog could be a Belgian Malinois, a breed favoured by the US military.

Nigerian popstar Davido almost broke the internet yesterday, October 28, when he shared a prayer line on social media.

'I declare into your life! Where you ought to be highly placed, you will not be replaced there. Your seat of glory will not be empty. You will sit gloriously to eat the fruit of your labour. Your land will not fail to bear fruits in its season', Davido Tweeted.

In reaction, controversial OAP, Daddy Freeze said the singer's prayer is more viable that of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, which was also shared on social media and centered on suspension of protocols, rules and criteria in order to be promoted.

“Father, let all protocols, rules and criteria be suspended, overlooked and overruled, as you did to Joseph, in order for me to be promoted, in Jesus name.” pastor Adeboye's prayer read

Taking to Instagram to compare both prayers, Freeze wrote;
'this as a prayer by Davido is 1 million times more Christian than Adeboye’s prayer and in line with true Christianity, which preaches faith combined with works. A true Christian should therefore say AMEN to Davido’s prayer and GOD FORBID to adeboye’s prayer for Nigeria to move forward as a nation'.

See Freeze's full post below.

Dear pastor Adeboye, the leader of the FreeNation in Christ online church greets you and brings glad tidings. Prayers like yours are what put Nigeria in the quagmire that we are currently in.
Unqualified people who are ‘favored’ are in positions of leadership in churches, mosques and in the political and economic sectors; the result is 94 million people in extreme poverty, more than double the combined number of people in China and India in poverty.
We need to disabuse our minds and realize that in Christianity David and Goliath have EXACTLY the same grace and the only ‘unmerited favor’ a Christian receives, is the death of Christ on the cross to pay our debt once and for all time.  he wrote

59-year-old Cheah Siew Im who defrauded people in the United States with stolen identities and false stories for almost 20 years, has been jailed after she was caught speeding in Virginia driving a Porsche and using her old roommate’s driving license.

The Malaysian-born con artist stole at least 6 identities including those of her roommates and nail technicians, and reportedly convinced professional athletes and successful executives that she was the granddaughter of Singapore’s first prime minister, Lee Kuan Yew, and a close friend of former US president, Barack Obama.

Cheah was sentenced to 51 months in an American prison after pleading guilty to identity theft and fraud after being arraigned in court following her arrest in 2017. She convinced her victims to invest in Nigerian oil and Washington sports teams, but spent the money on high-end cars, plastic surgery and designer handbags.

“Had we known she was not being honest about her real identity, age and criminal background, we never would have trusted her,” the Washington Redskins player's agent she defrauded of $1.2m wrote in a letter to the court. She “is very manipulative and has shown no remorse for the heartaches she has caused”.

For years, the FBI found no trace of her big spending in bank records. One victim said she would use him as a middleman for wire transfers and take her money in cash. In past court proceedings, Cheah said she lived off her past earnings as a plastics executive.

Another victim named Alan Perez, a chef, said in a letter to the court that “She does not use guns, knives, or any other sort of physical weapon like many criminals. Language and emotion are her weapons and armed with them she can easily infiltrate the mind of anyone she wishes to prey upon.” Perez ended up with $250,000 in debt and estranged from his parents.

The Instagram page of embattled Dubai-based Nigerian social media celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha a.k.a Mompha seems to have been deactivated days after he was arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over his alleged involvement in internet fraud and money laundering.
Though no official statement has been given for Mompha's sudden disappearance from the social media platform, this however came after his alleged Lebanese accomplice, Hamza Koudeih was arrested in his N1.8bn Lagos home alongside two other suspects.

LIB reported earlier that the anti-graft agency has uncovered 51 bank accounts Mompha allegedly used for money laundering.  The five wristwatches recovered from him after his arrest on Tuesday October 22,  has also been found to be worth over N60 million rather than the N20 million earlier thought.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a Lebanese identified as Hamza Koudeih and two others suspected to be accomplices of Dubai-based Nigerian social media celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha a.k.a Mompha.

Operatives of the anti-graft agency arrested Koudeih after a three-hour stand-off at his N1.8 billion luxury apartment in the 33-storey Eko Atlantic Pearl Tower, Victoria Island, Lagos. It was learnt that he and his wife refused opening the door to their apartment and also refused responding to appeals by the building's chief security officer.

The suspect who alongside Mompha and other arrested suspects are allegedly kingpins of a network of cyber criminals who laundered N33 billion through three firms, lived in an apartment which was fortified with triple reinforced fire-proof door and closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras, making it difficult for the operatives to gain entrance.

However after EFCC operatives gained access into the apartment after trying to break down the door with breaching tools, his wife claimed that her husband had escaped through the window even though they lived in the topmost floor.

Koudeih was found hiding in the ceiling and a fire-proof safe containing different charms and talismans in calabashes was uncovered after a search was conducted in his bedroom.

“Our officials knew that he was still inside and they were even hoping to persuade him not to jump out through the window because it would be suicide,” EFCC Lagos Zonal Head, Mr. Mohammed Rabo, who confirmed the arrest, told The Nation.

Two luxury cars were recovered from the suspect who claimed the charms were his “prayer objects”.

Koudeih and his wife’s immigration status are currently being investigated. ;ocal and international law enforcement agencies are said to have indicated interest to collaborate in the investigation.

Rhe Lagos zonal head of the EFCC, Mohammed Rabo said the operation that led to Koudeih’s arrest was “an offshoot of the collaboration between the EFCC and the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI),” but that Koudeih was arrested based on “purely EFCC intelligence”.
Rabo added: “Actionable intelligence received from local and international law enforcement agencies had revealed that Koudeih and Mompha alongside their collaborators are high valued targets in Organised Cyber Syndicate Network (OCSN).
“Investigations have also revealed that Mompha uses a firm known as Ismalob Global Investments Limited to perpetrate about N14 billion money laundering while Koudeih also operate two firms namely: THK Services Limited and CHK properties Limited to launder about N19 billion.”

An update on Mompha's arrest also revealed that 51 bank accounts he allegedly uses for money laundering has been uncovered. The five wristwatches recovered from him after his arrest on Tuesday October 22,  has been found to be worth over N60 million rather than the N20 million earlier thought.

At the resumed trial of Naira Marley over an alleged credit card fraud at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos today October 23, the Economic and Financial Crimes tendered evidence they found in Naira Marley's laptop after his arrest which includes stolen credit card information issued by European, American and Latin American banks.

The credit card information reportedly belonged to four persons in the United Kingdom (UK) including one Nicole Louise. EFCC's forensics expert, Mr Nuru Buhari who testified in court said the top five most visited sites on the laptop dealt on buying and selling of stolen credit card information. He also revealed that a file named select BIN 101.txt and .txt. had stolen credit card information with special status that allows transaction up-to $12,000 without a pin or physical card.

“During analysis, the cache file and history file revealed that the most frequently visited sites by the user of the computer includes arder007.org, Zuni.sa, nationwidecheckbalance.co.uk, ferunshop.net AMD cocoa.co.uk.”
“Analysis of the websites revealed that web 1 is where stolen card information is sold to intending fraudsters, web 2 is for stolen credit cards specifically for the UK, web 3 is an online website designed for UK card holders to check their balance wherever they are around the world, web 4 is a dark web meaning an underground tunnel in the internet where stolen credit card information are sold and traded, web 5 is an online shopping mall where members are given discounts for shopping from certain shops.
“For the note file, two major files were discovered named .txt which contained about four credit card information belonging to four different personalities in the UK including one Nicole Louise.
“The second file is named selected BIN101.txt containing Bank Identification Number of European, American and Latin American banks.
“When we ran the BIN code search for the first six digits of the cards, it revealed they are Visa cards issued by Barclay’s bank, Sandander UK plc" he said.
Buhari further disclosed that his team was able to identify “certain banks in the US, Europe and Asia with certain peculiarities, these are banks that they issue credit cards without pins based on the high level of trust, they allow a transaction of up to $12,000 in a swipe on pos.
“Cards issued by those banks are card not required. All you need to execute a transaction is the card number and the CVV number. ”

Buhari also told Justice Oweibo that suspicious apps that are mostly used by people with shady deals on the internet were found in the laptop.

He said: “We analysed installed apps on the laptop and we found two apps that enables the owner of the computer to decide the server of a bank as to his identity and location, IP VANISH and TOR browser.
“The TOR browser is sometimes called the onion. Most of the criminals cover their tracks with various layers just like an onion using this app to make it near impossible for a tracker to track their location.
“The IP VANISH is a virtual private network (VPN) which provides that the actual computer and location of usage cannot be identified. It also gives the user the ability to change their location.”

The Nation reported that the court also heard how Naira Marley's iCloud account is connected to administrator account on the laptop.

Justice Nicholas Oweibo adjourned the case till Friday October 25 for cross examination of EFCC's witness, as Naira Marley's counsel Olalekan Ojo requested for a survey of the Apple Mac book Pro laptop, an iPhone allegedly confiscated from the defendant and the forensic laboratory report prepared by Mr Buhari.

A hotel in Shimawa (a Lagos-Ogun border community) which uses underage girls as commercial sex workers was uncovered on Wednesday October 23, by detectives attached to the Federal Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID) Alagbon in Ikoyi.

Two men were arrested alongside 14 girls said to come from Akwa Ibom, Kogi, Enugu and Imo states. The girls who claimed they were lured to the facility by friends from their respective villages are forced to pay their boss N1,000 daily for the accommodation, and they are forced to sleep with a minimum of four men daily at a fee ranging between N500 and N1,000 per client to achieve this. Asides sleeping with clients for money, it was also learnt that the men also slept with them any time they want.

Those arrested at the hotel include its owner Gbenga Olayinka, his nephew Adekunle Oshineye, 28, three adult commercial sex workers- Happiness Daniel, Favour Nkume and Glory Ewelike- as well as nine underage girls.

The underage girls gave their names as their names as Chisom Onyekwere, Chinonso Okoro, Stella Emmanuel, Gift Wada, Chidinma Emmanuel, Tracy Favour, Success Onu, Comfort Francis, Njoku Divine, Destiny Chibuike and Amanda Chima.

Speaking to newsmen on how the facility was uncovered, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Cordelia Nwawe said her boss Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Usman Mani received intelligence about a baby factory in Shimawa on Tuesday night.

“The anti-trafficking team immediately moved to the location and throughout the night till about 10am on Wednesday, October 23, we were on operation in the area. We needed to locate that particular baby factory where underage  females are kept.

“They carried out extensive investigation and found out that 16 females were housed there and engaged as sex workers.

“These girls engage men from the underworld and give them information on potential targets. They are used for high menace back in this country. Also note that weapons are usually hidden in places like this and so, the FCIID is out to carry out extensive investigation,” she said.

The owner of the facility however denied knowing some of the girls were underage. He also claimed that the girls rented the rooms in the hotel he has owned for two years on their own.

“I charge the girls N1,000 daily. I do not control them on their customers and I do not keep their money for them.”

“Police have been coming there to search but they have never found anything incriminating. It is not true that criminals come there to hide and it is also not true that the girls keep weapons for criminals. Nothing like that happens there.

“My offence is that I kept these girls in my care to use them to work and I am sorry about that. I know it is wrong. I am married with four kids, two girls and two boys.”

Oshineye on his own part said he was arrested in the room of one of the girls he claimed was his lover. The builder said he always assisted his uncle Olayinka at the brothel when he is less busy.

One of the girls said, “My boyfriend and I planned that I will stop prostitution by December because that is when I would complete my apprenticeship. I sleep with four or five men everyday. It was my friend who came to bring me from the village. I do not enjoy it but I do not have another option,” she said.

Okoro said, “I told my mum I was working but I did not tell her the job I was doing. I have been able to send only N7,000 to her since I started this work. I use protection each time to avoid getting infection.

One of the arrested girls, Happiness Daniel also told newsmen that she relocated to Dafog hotel 2 years ago after starting off a profession in prostitution many years ago.

Nigerian Lawyer and Entertainment Consultant, Ayo Shonaiya has lashed out at EFCC over what he describes as a 'stupid move' by the anti-graft agency for parading suspected fraudster, Mompha on social media before trial.

According to EFCC, Mompha was arrested on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on his way to Dubai following series of intelligence reports received by the Commission.

EFCC also said, 'Mompha who allegedly perpetrates his fraudulent activities under the guise of being a Bureau de Change operator is always seen with his little son flaunting huge amount of foreign currencies on his social medial platforms'.

In his reaction to a video showing Mompha all smiles after he was arrested by the EFCC, Ayo Shonaiya said, 'this is exactly how the EFCC will mess up the case. I don’t understand this nonsense media fixation of parading suspects before trial'.
What exactly is the point of this? Instead of them to take his mugshot and prepare a secured case based on strong evidence, they proceed on a stupid circus for the media that can even taint their case when it does get to Court. Just like the Nigeria Police did with Evans the Kidnapper, they turned the case into a media circus that has turned him into some sort of folk hero for people who don’t know the difference between real life and social media gist. This is a stupid move by the EFCC
