A tragic incident occurred at Juba Alaro Junction off Liasu road in Idimu area of Lagos on Monday November 25, as a tea vendor a.k.a Mai Shai's customer was stabbed to death following a heated argument over a N100 bread.

An eyewitness alleged that the deceased identified as Peter Nwala got into an argument with the tea vendor shortly after he turned up at his shop to buy fried egg, tea and bread. Peter reportedly refused paying for the bread which he claimed had a bitter taste.

The tea vendor who was angered by the deceased's refusal to pay for the bread, reported the incident to a nearby suya seller who stabbed him with a dagger.

‘’He paid for other food items except the bread. It was when he wanted to leave the place that the tea vendor signalled the nearby suya seller, who brought out a dagger and stabbed Peter to death.

‘’The police have contacted the leader of the Hausa community in the community and he has promised to produce the culprits" an eyewitness said.

A police source however told The Nation that the deceased was stabbed by the vendor in retaliation.

‘’The boy (deceased) was an alleged internet fraudster who had been arrested in the past by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). He went to the tea vendor’s kiosk to buy fried egg and was said to have refused to pay the man.

‘’ He took a stick and hit the tea vendor who insisted he must pay for the food. When the tea vendor could no longer bear the brutality, he motioned to his colleague who took a knife and stabbed the boy(Nwala) in the back leading to his death a few hours later at a hospital.

‘’Friends of the deceased then launched into violent attacks on Hausa traders in the neighbourhood but we quickly deployed our men there and restored normalcy. However, we are still looking for those who killed the boy and the police is engaging the leadership of the Hausa community in the area to ensure that peace reign and apprehend the culprits,’’ he added.

Nollywood actor, Olu Michaels has shared his lifelong decision of never getting married or having children.

In an interview with The Nation, the 48-year-old actor disclosed that he is scared of getting married. He also said it is too late to have kids even though his parents have been pushing him to get married.

“I’m not married, and I don’t intend to. Truth be told, I’m scared of marriage and I don’t think I will ever get married. .
.
Though, I wanted to have kids when I was younger but not now, it is too late. Why I said it’s too late for having children is that I am a workaholic and I don’t  like a situation where I would want to sleep and then a baby starts crying. My parents have been begging me to get married but no" he said.

On what he looks out for in a woman, Olu Michaels said;

“I am a jealous man. For example, if I marry an actress and I see her kissing another actor on set, I will never tolerate such. Also, if I marry a beautiful woman, I might never concentrate on my work because I will be on the look to protect her."

He also opened up on what he does whenever he feels lonely at night. Olu Michaels said he drives around his Mercedes Benz which has a lovely interior and sleeps off on it whenever he feels lonely.

“What I do every time I feel lonely is that I have a car that I bought with all my money. It is a Mercedes-Benz and the interior is wow. I love it. I just drive round town and get home and sleep off" he said.

A commercial motorcyclist in Lagos, Amarachi Chukwuneke, is currently cooling his feet in prison custody for reportedly sexually molesting his six-year-old daughter.

Chukwuneke, 43, was arrested by the police at the Festac Division, following a report by his neighbour in the Amuwo Odofin area of the state.

The suspect had separated from his wife and the victim together with her two siblings lived with him, City Round gathered.

It was learnt that the neighbour had observed the girl walking into the compound with uneasiness while returning from school on November 5, 2019.

The woman was said to have asked the minor the cause of her condition, but she was initially reluctant to speak up.

After the Good Samaritan persuaded her, she reportedly opened up, alleging that her father inserted his finger in her private parts and had sex with her.

Alarmed by the revelation, it was gathered that neighbours confronted Chukwuneke alongside with the child, who repeated the claim in the father’s presence.

The case was reported at the Festac Police Division and the father was arrested. He was later transferred to the Gender Unit at the police headquarters in Ikeja which charged him with defilement.

“On November 5, 2019, when the girl returned from school, a nieghbour noticed that something was wrong with the way she was walking and asked her what was wrong. After persuading her, she said it was her father who touched her bumbum (private parts). She said the father had been having sex with her,” a source said.

In her statement, the victim reportedly gave a graphic description of how she was molested by her father.

She stated, “Me and my brothers live with our daddy but we are always with our neighbour because my daddy does not give us food. Anytime we sleep, my father would touch my bumbum (private parts) and put his finger inside my bumbum. One day, he put the thing he uses to pee (urinate) inside my bumbum. I cried that day because blood came out and my daddy used water to wash my bumbum and begged me not to cry and that I should not tell anybody.”

Chukwuneke, who denied the allegation, said his daughter had complained to her some months earlier that she was feeling pains in her private parts.

He said he checked and saw that she was discharging some fluid, adding that he bought some drugs for her to use.

He added, “I got married in 2012 and we are blessed with three children. In June 2018, my wife left me because she got pregnant for another man in my hometown in Imo State.

“In August 2018, I travelled to the village and brought my children with me to Lagos. They were living with me until the girl complained to me that her bumbum was paining her.

“After I checked, I realised some fluid was coming out of her private parts. Thereafter, I went to see a chemist woman who gave me drugs. After she used the medication, it stopped. Later on, she complained about the same issue to me. I went to a nurse who also gave me some drugs for which I paid N500. She told me to buy a certain drug that will finally stop the symptom.

“On November 4, 2019, my daughter came to me again and said she was feeling pains in her private parts. I tried to look for money to buy drugs for her. The following day when I returned from where I went to get some money, I met some neighbours with her. They said my daughter told them someone had been having sex with her.

“My daughter was asked who had sex with her and she said I was the one. When I wanted to ask her the same question, my neighbours refused. That was how I was brought to the police station. I did not have any sexual intercourse with my daughter.”

A police prosecutor, ASP Benson Emuerhi, subsequently brought Chukwuneke before an Ogba magistrates’ court on one count of defilement.

The charge read, “That you, Amarachi Chukwuneke, on November 4, 2019, at 9pm, at Amuwo Odofin, Festac, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully defile a six-year-old girl by having sexual intercourse with her, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.”

The defendant’s plea was not taken by the presiding Chief Magistrate, Mrs O. Sile-Amzat, who ruled that he should be remanded in prison while the case file should be sent to the Directorate of Public Prosecution for legal advice.

The case was adjourned till February 27, 2020.

A bill which seeks to remove gender restrictions on rape offences and also proposes stiffer penalties for kidnapping has passed its second reading on the floor of the Nigerian senate.

The bill which recognizes males as rape victims and also seeks to remove the statute of limitation in cases of defilement was sponsored by senator representing Lagos central Oluremi Tinubu.

Oluremi Tinubu in her lead debate said section 218 of the criminal code constitutes a limitation to the prosecution of an offender as it only allows for only two months after the offence is committed.

“This is untenable in a country where investigations often take longer than two months”, Tinubu said.

“Considering the shortage of police personnel, relative to our population as prescribed by international standards, the two months limitation is unlikely to be met at all.

“With the development and innovation in forensic technology and the accessibility or otherwise of such infrastructure in Nigeria, rushed investigations with a view to commencing prosecutions within a two month period leave a possibility of a huge margin for error.”

The bill also seeks an amendment to section 221 of the criminal code which provides that “where a person has or attempts carnal knowledge of a girl being of or above the age of thirteen and under the age sixteen, an ‘idiot or imbecile’, he shall be liable to imprisonment for a period of two years provided that the prosecution is commenced within two months after the offence is committed.”

The Lagos Senator stated that “there are incidents of non-consensual sex perpetrated against the male gender” and further described the criminal code act which defines rape as an offence against women as “grievous”. She said it promotes the socio-cultural belief that men do not need to consent to sexual acts.

Officials of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, have shutdown Christ Embassy Church, Iyana Ipaja; churches, mosques, hotels and others over noise pollution.

In all, 20 facilities were shut by the government on Saturday in its determination to curb the menace of environmental nuisance across the state and further restore sanity and orderliness.

The exercise, which cut across churches, mosques, hotels and nightclubs, included Water Parks at ikeja; West gate Louge, Omole, Magodo phase 1; Skylouge Bar, Oko Oba; Mallam Garba Mosque, Iloro; Dick Jockey outlets, Dopemu, Agege; Christ Embassy Church, Iyana ipaja and El Castillo Homes, Abule Egba.

Others are Triple Z Hotel & Suite, Shasha, Akowonjo; Regia Luxuria Hotels & Suites, Alimosho; Kings of Diamonds, Coker, Barrel Louge, Opebi; Voice Of Elijah Christian Church, Ikeja; Celestial Church of Christ, Ilupeju and unnamed Mosque at Allhamdiyah.

However, LASEPA’s General Manager, Dr Adedolapo Fasawe warned the public, particularly unrepentant noise polluters to desist from the act of attacking its officials while discharging their duties or face the full wrath of the Law.

Fasawe observed with dismay the frequent attacks of the officials and obstruction of same from carrying out their official duties by unidentified hoodlums hired by facility owners to prevent lawful application of the law, saying that the law enforcement agents all over the world were not always in the good book of offenders, whose primary aim was to subvert law and pervert cause of justice at all cost.

She added that officials of the agency were attacked by hoodlums at the Westgate Louge, Omole and Sky Louge, Oko Oba while performing their duty to shut down the facilities for their persistent noise and failure to operate within the ambit of the law.

According to her, negative consequences awaited these perpetrators as the officials represented the government and whose motive was to protect the interest of the society against interest of few self centred defaulters.

“Enforcing environmental law in our society that thrives on impunity will require enlisting maximum support of the members of the public, especially our clerics, opinion, political and market leaders to lend their voices to the campaign and condemn the unwarranted but coordinated attacks being launched on the officials while performing their duties,” she said.

She further addressed the on-going insinuations and campaign of calumny against the agency by some mischief makers that particular religion was being targeted in the fight against noise pollution.

“Our operation devoid all religious coloration and no particular religion is targeted, our primary objective is to ensure decorum and sanity in the state.

The agency in the past months has being recording tremendous success and which must be supported by all rather than unwarranted attack of our intention by means of misinformation, misrepresentation and deliberate negative reports to bring the agency to disrepute and causes chaos among our people.

“We have deployed various innovations and techniques to tackle environmental pollution, especially in the area of noise pollution all to no avail, such as engaging the public through advocacy, social mobilization programmes, stakeholder’s forum, Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) and lastly the use of enforcement as last resort in maintaining sanity,” she said.

Social media giants, Facebook and Instagram will start blocking under-18s from viewing sexual content from as early as next year.

As part of a new policy, the online platforms will hide suggestive adverts and pictures such as art depicting sexual activity, which are otherwise allowed.

Teenagers under the age of 18 will be banned from viewing sexualised adverts, fictional depictions of sex and artistic portrayals of nudity or sex acts, among others, the Daily Telegraph reports, adding that the restrictions, which are due to come in on both platforms, will rely solely on teenagers inputting their own ages, making it easy for them to lie and view inappropriate content anyway.

It was also stated that under the new measures, underage users will get an error message if they declare they are under 18 and try to load sexual content.

Andy Burrows, the NSPCC head of child safety online policy, told MailOnline: 'It is good to see Facebook taking steps in recognition of the fact that there is content on their platforms that's unsuitable for children.

'But these measures look like little more than tinkering around the edges, rather than tackling the more profound clear-cut dangers from grooming and abuse every day on their platforms.

'Facebook already has the tech to micro-target ads at under-18s so we simply can't understand why they won't use the same tech to put safeguards in place.'

A user on popular Nigerian forum, Nairaland has come online to raise an alarm on how her boyfriend threatens to leak her sex tape with another guy. Here is what she posted below:

"Nairalanders I am actually typing this with fear of what to come.

I am an active member of this forum but change moniker by registering and creating a new one here to hide my identity.

Origin...

I met my boyfriend in school actually we were in the same department at funnab. We did things together. We were in love and had sex when we feel like it. We planned to get married after school.

Mistake...

I went to a birthday party of one of my close friends, I had three friends and we are like clique.
During the party I got drunk and the guy that took us to the party in his car took advantage of my drunken state and had sex with me and make it look like it is consensual. During the act I know what was happening but was too weak and blurred. I didn't know there was a video recording of the act. When I woke up the guy was no where to be found so I kept it to myself.

Blackmail...

When my guy found out that I cheated on him, he was furious. I denied it initially but when he showed me the sex clip I admitted it but defended myself on the ground that it was rape and not consensual. I summon courage and asked him how did he come up with the sex tape but that he would not answer to. He left that moment and I start feeling that he knows something about the tape and wants to blackmail.

Threat...

He showed up one day at my hostel and threaten to leak the tape online. I begged him profusely not to do that but he said my plea and tears are waste of time. That he will let everyone know the kind of loose lady I am for betraying and cheating on him. That I will regret the day I met him. That I doesn't deserve his love.

Currently...

He is yet to release the clip but may actually do that with what is happening to the Babcock ex student.

What should I do to stop him before he destroys me.

A 42-year-old-woman, Temitope Akinola, has allegedly poisoned her granddaughter with an insecticide, Sniper, to stop her daughter’s marriage to her lover.

The suspect, who is a resident of Isote area of Sagamu, allegedly committed the offence last week Thursday and was arrested on the same day by men of Ogun State Police Command.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said in a statement on Sunday that Akinola’s arrest followed information received by the police in the Sagamu Division after the death of the child.

According to the PPRO, the suspect has never hidden her hatred for the father of the baby.

The suspect, according to the statement, was the only one with the child, while the mother went to take her bath, only for her to come back and meet the lifeless body of the baby.

Oyeyemi said, “Upon the information, the DPO, Sagamu Division, Okiki Agunbiade, detailed his detectives to the scene, where the killer grandmother was promptly arrested.

“On interrogation, the suspect admitted to killing the baby, because she didn’t like her daughter getting married to the father of the deceased baby.

“She confessed further that when she discovered that her daughter was pregnant, she made an attempt to terminate the pregnancy but her pastor warned her not to do so, hence, she waited for her to be delivered of the baby before carrying out her devilish intention.

THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has waded into the $44.9 million wire fraud and money laundering case against Air Peace Chief Executive Allen Ifechukwu Athan Onyema hours after his indictment in the United States (US).

The EFCC, it was learnt, on Saturday raised what sources referred to as a ”special panel” to investigate the matter shortly after receiving the charges against Onyema.

Onyema was indicted along with his finance officer, Ejiroghene Eghagha, by the US Department of Justice (DoJ).

They were accused of “moving more than $20 million from Nigeria through some United States banks in a scheme involving false documents based on the purchase of airplanes.”

Eghagha, who is the international airline’s Chief of Administration and Finance, was also accused of bank fraud and committing aggravated identity theft in connection with the scheme.

The EFCC is also investigating two Nigerian banks for allegedly facilitating the transfer of the money to the US and processing letters of credit to buy planes for Air Peace.

The probe, The Nation gathered, would cover the activities and inflows into the accounts of four non-governmental organisations (NGOs) /non-profit groups sponsored by Onyema.

They are Foundation for Ethnic Harmony, International Centre for Non-Violence and Peace Development, All-Time Peace Media Communications Limited and Every Child Limited.

Onyema has since denied the allegations against him and stated his readiness to travel to the US to defend himself.

His lawyer, A. O. Alegeh, said in a statement in Lagos, at the weekend, that Onyema “strongly denies and will vigorously defend himself against the allegations made against him by the US Attorney in Atlanta, Georgia in relation to the purchase of aircraft, aircraft spares and aircraft maintenance”.

The US government is seeking the forfeiture of $14,246,536.6million left in some accounts linked with Onyema in the US and Canada.

The funds comprise $4,017,852.51 in JP Morgan Chase Bank in the US and $4,593,842.05 and $5,634,842.04 in the Bank of Montreal, Canada.

One of the legs of the EFCC probe is to ascertain whether Onyema is fronting for some politically exposed persons in the country.

A source said: “Upon the receipt of the charges, the EFCC chairman raised a team to probe the allegations against Onyema Eghagha, who were prominently mentioned in the indictment charges by the United States Government.

“The EFCC team is working on what I may term the ‘Nigerian components’ of the indictment including suspicious huge transfer of funds abroad, alleged abuse of letters of credit and money laundering.

“In fact, the Acting EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu directed the team members to work round the clock at the weekend because it is a case we must work on with speed.

“We are also interested in the roles played by two banks in the country including one that has been on our radar for a while for money laundering. This same bank was implicated in the $115million poll bribery scam in 2015 for which former Minister of Petroleum Resources Diezani Alison-Madueke is wanted for trial.

“We need to act because in the indictment, the US indicated its plans to freeze some funds linked with Onyema in some accounts within and outside its jurisdiction. It is standard practice to have collaboration with sister organisations all over the world. We cannot wait till the last minutes before playing our roles.”

Responding to a question, the source added: “Certainly, our crack team will conduct a comprehensive investigation into the activities and remittances into the accounts of the four non-governmental organisations (NGOs) /non-profit groups of Onyema.

“Our immediate suspicion is that these four groups are likely to be tools for money laundering. The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), tax bodies and other agencies will assist on the status of these organisations.

“We have directed our detectives to ascertain or otherwise if Onyema is allegedly serving as a front for some politically exposed persons (PEPs).”

The source added: “The EFCC may also investigate other persons or groups that have assisted Onyema in one way or the other on the allegations against him. The indictment spoke of known and unknown persons.”

In the charges against Onyema and Eghagha, they were accused of using the money to buy luxury cars, including a Rolls Royce for $180,000 and Mercedes for $88, 500 among others.

Onyema was also said to have spent thousands of dollars on personal purchases at Atlanta Georgia locations of Prada, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, Louis Vuitton, the Apple Store and various airlines.

It was alleged that the total amount Onyema spent on aircraft acquisition for his airline exceeded $3million.

Onyema: I’m not dubious

Airline magnate Alex Onyema yesterday said it is not in his character to be dubious, describing the fraud allegations against him as false.

In a statement in Lagos, he said: ”Thank you for reaching out to me. I can confirm to you that all allegations are false and are in no way in line with my character as a person and as a business man whose only aim has been to build Nigeria and improve wellbeing.

”As the press statement clearly stated, these are indictment that only contains charges. I am innocent of all charges and the US government will find NO dirt on me because I have never conducted business with any illegalities.

”Be rest assured that I also have my lawyers on this and these mere allegations will be refuted. I never laundered money in my life, neither have I committed bank fraud anywhere in the world. Every Kobo I transferred to the US for aircraft purchase went through the Central Bank of Nigeria Letter of Credit regime and all were used for the same purpose. The American companies that received the funds are still in business. I never took a penny from any US bank or Nigerian bank. I am willing to defend my innocence in the US courts”.

Allegations unfounded, strange, says lawyer

Embattled Air Peace Chief Alex Onyema yesterday denied the fraud allegations against him.

His lawyer, A. O. Alegeh in a statement in Lagos said: “On behalf of Allen Onyema, we hereby state that he strongly denies and will vigorously defend himself against the allegations made against him by the US Attorney in Atlanta, Georgia in relation to purchase of Aircraft, Aircraft spares and Aircraft maintenance. None of the allegations involve any third party funds but relate to his funds utilised in the Airline business. There is no allegation that any Bank [in the United States, Nigeria or elsewhere], company or individual suffered any financial or any loss whatsoever.

“The allegations are unfounded and strange to him. Allen Onyema has a track record built on honesty and integrity and will take all necessary steps to clear his good name and hard earned reputation. He looks forward to an opportunity to rebut these allegations in Court.”

Airline’s finance chief refutes allegations

Air Peace Executive Director Mrs. Ejiro Eghagha yesterday denied allegations of money laundering levelled against her in the United States.

In a statement, her lawyer A.O Alegeh said: “On behalf of Mrs Ejiro Eghagha, we hereby state that she strongly denies and will vigorously defend herself against the allegations made against her by the US Attorney in Atlanta, Georgia in relation to purchase of aircraft, aircraft spares and aircraft maintenance for her employer.

None of the allegations involve any third party funds but relate to funds belonging to her employer and utilized in the airline business. There is no allegation that any Bank [in the United States, Nigeria or elsewhere], Company or individual suffered any financial or any loss whatsoever.

“The allegations are unfounded and strange to her. Mrs Ejiro Eghagha has built her reputation as a seasoned, honest and responsible person and will take all necessary steps to clear her good name and hard earned reputation. She looks forward to an opportunity to rebut these allegations in Court.”

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has commiserated with traders affected by a fire outbreak at the Super Plaza in Surulere, Lagos.

The mall on Akerele Street was gutted by fire on Wednesday.

In a message posted on social media, the politician who represents Surulere 1 Constituency in the National Assembly wrote: “My thoughts and prayers are with traders in Surulere Plaza, Akerele in my constituency over the fire outbreak that gutted the complex this evening.”

The building formerly known as Super Cinema houses many shops and churches including Fountain Hall, Dominion City Worship and Omega Fire Ministries.

Director-General of Lagos Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said preliminary investigation conducted on site indicated that the fire resulted from an electrical surge in one of the shops before escalating to other parts of the plaza.

Men of the Ogun state police command have arrested 30-year-old, Risikat Olabintan, pictured above,  for throwing her one-day-old baby into a soak-away pit.

Confirming the incident to newsmen, the spokesperson of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said her arrest followed a distress call received by members of Ibukun Oluwapo Community, Ishaga, Surulere area in Owode-Yewa Local Government Area that some children, while playing at the backyard of their compound heard the cry of a baby in the soak-away and raised the alarm.

''On receiving the information, the DPO Owode-Yewa, quickly led team of policemen to the scene where the baby was rescued with the assistance of members of the public. Investigation later revealed that it was the said Risikat Olabintan who gave birth secretly to the baby and threw him inside the soak-away as early as 5.am of that day, hence she was apprehended.

“On interrogation, she confessed that she actually gave birth to the baby, which is the sixth of her children and that she has no means of feeding them all since her husband has absconded to an unknown destination for some time now.  Both the baby and the mother are presently in the hospital for medical attention and the baby is responding positively to treatment.

“Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Imohimi Edgal has directed that the case be transferred to Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Investigation and Intelligence Department for proper investigation.

The accused said she dumped her child in the soak away because she did not need him.

''I already have five children that I am struggling to cater for. My husband abandoned me with them. So, I did not need the sixth child and that was why I dumped him inside the soak-away as soon as I had him'' she said.

The Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association of the Queen’s College, Abass Ahmed, has condemned the action of a parent to one of the pupils, who allegedly assaulted security guards for not allowing her daughter into the school.

Ahmed, while condemning the action of the pupil’s mother, noted that there were laid down rules and regulations guiding pupils, adding that the association would probe the alleged assault on both parties.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the pupil, who was dropped off in the school by her mother, was denied entry by the security guards for fixing artificial eyelashes and painting her nails.

In a video that went viral on Tuesday, the yet-to-be-identified mother was seen holding on to the shirt of one of a security guard of the school, alleging that she was assaulted by the officer.

However, various reactions have trailed the video since it went viral.

A Twitter user with the username, @Deji_OoniAbj, said, “Before Twitter came, that Queen’s College girl would not just be sent home, she would be beaten very well and her eyelashes and whatever would be removed in the school there. Her parents would be invited and blamed and they would apologise. But then, discipline is now wrong.”

Condemning the action of the mother, another Twitter user, @d_problemsolver, wrote, “It is shameful (that) a mother would fight the security guards after the school authorities of Queen’s College sent her daughter home for fixing eyelashes. Some parents are responsible for their children’s bad behaviour.”

However, some Nigerians did not see anything wrong with the action of the mother.

A Twitter user, @ebelee_, said, “Why would you be dragging and recording my child on the streets in the name of discipline like she is a thief and not think I will fight for her? Are you not just looking for people to unleash your frustration and faux morality on? Queen’s College would have been sued if that was my child.”

Another user, @DemolaDrogba, said, “Hell will break loose if that was my daughter at Queen’s College today. When we were in secondary school, we did things. Our teachers corrected us by telling us to remove things that were not allowed. We were not denied access into the school and we were not recorded for social media.”

Ahmed, however, told our correspondent that the association would investigate the matter to forestall a reoccurrence.

He said, “I do not subscribe to the whole negative dimension of the social media brouhaha concerning the incident, but the truth remains that every institution has rules and regulations, and in schooling, you are not just acquiring education, your character is also been moulded.

“There are things the school laid down as rules and regulations; parents are aware of what those pupils must not do. As a parent, and looking at the picture of the lady, I am ashamed as a parent that a mother could actually leave the house and bring her daughter in that state to drop her off for check in, knowing full well that the school will not condone such.

“But the incident could have been better managed by both parties and on our part, we are going to holistically look at what transpired from the perspective of eyewitnesses to correct the action of the parties involved and whatever lessons we are drawing from this one, we will take them back to our parents to let them know how to react in that kind of situation.

“On the side of the management, we will recommend a training programme for officers, who interact with the public to know that certain actions will also have repercussions.  Some videos are for internal discipline and not for public consumption.”

Movie director, Kemi Adetiba has advised the public to treat those seen in the viral Babcock sex tape with kindness and empathy.

The sex tape involves a female student of Babcock and an allegedly expelled male student of the school having sex on what looked like a hospital bed.

Social media reports state that the male student was expelled because of drug abuse and was at a rehab centre when the sex tape was made.

Reacting to the viral video, Kemi Adetiba joined many who called for the protection of the girl so as to prevent her from committing suicide out of shame.

There is a video currently trending on the internet. I would ask that you please treat those involved with kindness & empathy.
I also pray the young lady involved realizes this isn't the end of the world. If you're close to her, give her a hug, not a reprimand. She's had enough.

Babcock University has finally reacted to the sex video of Ex students that went viral after it was leaked online.
There was outrage on the Internet on Wednesday over a sex tape involving two yet-to-be-identified former students of the Babcock University, Ilishan, Ogun State.

In the footage, which went viral on the Internet, a man and a woman were seen having sexual intercourse in a hospital room.

The young woman involved in the act was said to be a 300-level student in the Accounting Department of the institution, while the man was said to have been expelled by the institution following his involvement in social vices and examination malpractices.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the man had checked into a rehab centre and his girlfriend paid him a visit there.

However, during the visit, both lovers engaged in steaming sex and captured the action on video, with the man reported to have showed the footage to his friends.

It was alleged that he also had sexual intercourse with one of his friends’ girlfriend, and after discovering the escapade, the friend allegedly released the video to other people till it became public knowledge.

A lot of reactions have greeted the sex tape.

A Twitter user, @BhadmusAkeem, tweeted that the institution had been trending for the wrong reason, adding, “No innovation, no scientific discovery, no Olympics medal, no economic model breakthrough, but sex tape! Waste.”

Another user, @Iam_tandyboy, condemned those judging the couple involved in the sexual act saying, “Nobody is allowed to judge anybody, what happened between those people is just a stupid mistake and I hope they learn from it and not allow the stigma to kill them.”

But an unidentified online commentator said a girl, who did not like the man’s lover, sent the footage to undergraduates of the Babcock University.

The screenshot, where the source chronicled what transpired and was shared by several Twitter users, including @SmartAtuadi, read in part, “I get full gist from Babcock student wey dey the same hall with am.

“Please, keep me anonymous. The video is not a current video o.

“The guy in the video is no more a student of Babcock; he had been expelled since last semester.

“He got expelled for drug abuse and malpractices last semester. So, he was taken to a rehab by the school.

“The girl went to the rehab to visit him. That was when they had sex. So, the guy made a video so that he’ll be able to remember her when she leaves. Then the guy now showed his guys as per he wanted to show off his k…king skills.”

“The guy now later fu..ed up by fu…ing one of his friends babe. Na so that one vex, send am to all his guy friends. As them dey send am, na so one girl wey no like the girl in the video con get the video. She now started sending it to people in the school.”

The Director, Communication and Marketing, Babcock University, Joshua Sulaimon, said in a statement on Wednesday that the man in the sex tape had been expelled since February for grievous misconduct, adding that when the video emerged, the lady was also expelled after the institution had followed the due process.

The statement read in part, “The boy in the video was expelled from Babcock University in February this year after investigation and due process proved that he was into certain grievous misconduct, the act for which the university has zero tolerance for.

“His girlfriend was, until the video emerged, a third-year student of Accounting of this university. After due process, she was promptly expelled from the university for the violation of the rules and regulations.

“The place where the immoral act took place, according to her written statement, was the St. Bridget Hospital, Abeokuta, Ogun State, where the boy has been undergoing rehabilitation for different destructive addictions. According to the girl, the incident took place in April this year during school vacation, when she visited the boy in the hospital. The act did the not take place at Babcock University.”

The Enugu State Police Command, Tuesday, paraded a self-acclaimed pastor, Sunday Egbo over his alleged involvement in the rape of a female member of his Church.

He was paraded by the Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Abdur-Rahman, alongside 36 other suspects by the Enugu State Police Command.

Samuel is the General Overseer and founder of Christ Mercy Ministry, Ajuonu, Obukpa, Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The pastor, Sunday Egbo with his charms being paraded at the Enugu State Police Command on Tuesday

The Police Commissioner said Samuel returned “at about 2300 hrs and dragged her to his room, brought out a magic stone and threatened to kill her if she raises alarm.”

He further stated that after the rape, “he seized her pant; brazier and brought small bottle and wanted to insert it into her private part. She struggled and ran out naked.”

Speaking to journalists, the pastor said that he procurred the coffin and other items from a native doctor in Kogi State, with the hope of making money and attracting favour.

While admitting to raping the female member, the pastor said.

“I wanted to have sex with her but she refused. So, I raped her.

“I paid the native doctor N200,000, to get the coffin and the flute. He told me to do certain things, after which I will get a Ghana-Must-Go bag full of money in my room.

“But after two weeks, the money did not come as the native doctor told me.”

He left advice for Nigerians and other men of God.

“I believe I was deceived. So, I’m advising other men of God to follow the ways of God. There is no need seeking power and favour from wrong ways.

“I also advice Christians to be mindful of the places they go for prayers,” he said.

The CP assured residents of the Coal City State of adequate security, with a warning on all criminals to turn a new leaf or leave the State.

The Bill to regulate the use of social media in Nigeria passed its second reading at today's plenary session of the Nigerian senate.

Senator Mohammed Sani Musa who sponsored the Bill titled “A Bill for an Act to make provisions for the protection from internet falsehood and manipulations and for related matters, 2019,” insisted that there is need to regulate social media as it is now being used to cause disaffection and assassination of character through fake news.

He also recalled how claims of President Buhari being replaced by a clone named Jubril gained a widespread attention on social media.

“The hoax about the death of President Muhammadu Buhari in London and his replacement with Jibril from Sudan was a great threat to the peace and security of this country,” Musa said.

While Senators Ibrahim Gobir, Ishaku Clifford Elisha Abbo, Abba Moro and Bala Ibn Na’Allah publicly supported the Bill, only Senator Chimaroke Nnamani (Enugu East) strongly opposed the Bill.

The Bill was approved for second reading through a voice vote initiated by Senate President, Ahmed Lawan who also referred the Bill to the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters for further legislative work.

A 9-year-old Nigerian boy has told the sad story of how his teacher constantly defiled him and his other classmates, leaving him with a bleeding anus.

Facebook user, Diana Mary Nsan, who shared the story online, said the teacher's evil act came to light after the 9-year-old boy was seen bleeding from his anus by his nanny who then informed his parents. The parents questioned him and he told them what the teacher has been doing to him.

Diana also shared a video of the little boy recounting how the accused teacher repeatedly defiled him and his classmate. The little boy narrated how the teacher would always force him to his apartment within the school premises to rape him and how the teachers he complained to never listened to him.

I got a call at about 8am this morning, and I ....

This is a real life story, of one of the most handsome 9 year old boys I have met. He's a smart kid, and very articulate. We are seeking redress in the court of law ,although my conscience knows the truth.

Parents and guardians welldone for all you do,but We have more work to do.
If your kids show withdrawal, outright refusal or sadness going to school or somewhere they visit often,be it a family members house or worship area, pls do not hesitate to investigate.
Abusers are everywhere.
They will intimidate and beat your kids to fear.
Not just ur kids, any kid is yours.

The PTA chairman told me I am trying to run down someone's BUISNESS as I stated my fear for other kids who may be victims of abuse in that school.I was in awe of the fact that people, adults tried to ask this child ,if he is sure that the school master defiled him ,even when this bruised son was in tears ,clearly saying his truth, pointed out locations of abuse, including the house masters room. No wonder victims are made to look like they are not ok.

This cute son was dripping blood from his anus, his nanny had to report to mummy ,and they had to squeeze truth from him,as he had been threatened to fear.He finally spoke.

From April last year, this abuse has been on.
How can you defile a boy from 8 years to 9 years until the anus is bleeding?
SODOMIZING a minor!

BOYS ARE ALSO VICTIMS!pay attention

I am sharing this story, to enlighten us all,not to be too comfortable with the places and people we entrust our kids.
Now, Every room and parlour is a school, and just anyone is an employee (cheap labour)
Anybody is a nanny

My heart is in tatters,my mouth has lost taste .

PLS NOTE
Because the court is yet to sit on the matter,
We will call these allegations for decorum sake.
But here is a short testimony and few photos
Of what has happened .
Pls say something, is this right in any form? Should a child, any child go through this?

Thank you #Nigerianpolice for all the actions you took, you were quick to respond.
Thank you James Ibor for advocacy

We must always stand against wrong.
