Coaches Phil Neville And Chris Woods To Have Their Manchester United Contracts Ended

Phil Neville and Chris Woods have been told they have no future at Manchester United by executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

The duo joined the Red Devils as part of former manager David Moyes' backroom staff at the start of the campaign, but following United's final-day Premier League match at Southampton on Sunday Woodward emerged from the dressing room and wasted no time telling them both their contracts are going to be terminated.

It is believed Woodward has offered former United coach Rene Meulensteen a return to the Old Trafford set-up under the expected arrival of soon-to-be Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.

Rio Ferdinand was also told by Woodward in the corridor that his United career was over. That too shocked key United personnel given the service Ferdinand has given.
