Otedola was born on July 16, 1926 into a Muslim family at Odoragunsin, Epe Local Government Area of Lagos state.
He was the Governor of the state between January 1992 to November 1993.
News of his death comes barely 24 hours after the nation lost legal icon, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa.
He is the father to oil magnate and chairman of Zenon Oil and Forte Oil, Mr Femi Otedola.
