UNILAG Management Denies Increment In School Fees And Says The Portal Is Open And Free

Following the Thursday morning protest by students of University of Lagos UNILAG over payment of N25,000 fine for late registration courses and hike in tuition, its management has debunked the allegations saying it was not true.

Information Unit said that the management has resolved the issue stating that the portal of the University remains open and available for students to access.





"The portal of the University remains open and available for students to access."




It said: "Add and delete continues to be free on the University Portal;







The release further refuted the allegation of tuition increment adding, "there is no increment in the charges for late registration or tuition.







Meanwhile, the statement from the management also disclosed that the University examination has been shifted by one week adding, "examination now starts on June 30, 2014."




It urged all students to remain calm and go about their normal activities.






UNILAG students had Thursday morning barricaded entrances to the school, preventing vehicular movements in or outside of the campus in protest against the hike.
