Panic as dreaded One Million Boys robbery gang writes Ojo, Badagry residents
Four the past three days, residents of Ojo and Badagary local government areas have not slept following a recent letter purportedly written to the residents by the dreaded and ruthless robbery gang called One Million Boys in Lagos State, western Nigeria.

According to some residents, the letter was written to them following the arrest of four members of the gang after their recent operation in the area that left many residents injured, with many losing their valuables to the gang.

In what seemed to be a reprisal attack, the letter reportedly informed the residents of their coming and asked them to keep money for them or be prepared to die.
The threat has leftt the residents in fear and they have resorted to self help by keeping vigil.

When our reporter visited the area on Thursday, some residents, who confirmed the recent attacks and the threat letter sent by the gang, said they are afraid and had to mobilize themselves to be awake all night.
P.M.NEWS gathered that at least 100 members of the gang struck in the night recently.

Some of the areas attacked include Ojo, Iba, Shibiri, Agbara, Afromedia, Okokomaiko, Ijanikin and other areas located in Ojo and Badagry local government areas.

According to eyewitness account, during the recent raids, residents who did not have money or valuables to give to them were attacked with machetes.
The victims are in various hospitals receiving treatment.

P.M.NEWS also learnt that women were not spared, as some of them were raped and asked to have sex with their blood relations.
However, while the atrocity was going on, some youths mobilized themselves and resisted their operation and in the process four suspects were apprehended and handed over to the police, while the rest escaped.

Arrested suspects were handed them over to the police at Ajangbadi division.
When our reporter went to Ajangbadi police division, the DPO was not around to confirm the arrest.

However, our reporter was reliably informed that the suspects were transferred to SCID, Panti, Yaba for interrogation.

At the SCID, Panti, our reporter confirmed that the suspects were there and their case was handled by the IPO identified as Inspector Austin before the suspects were transferred to Zone 2 Command, Onikan where they were reportedly set free following directives.

The police in Lagos have arrested two undergraduates for allegedly raping a job-seeker, identified only as Nike, and robbing her of valuables in the Igando area of the state.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspects, identified as Valentine and Kusimo, allegedly took turns to rape their victim after luring her into a hotel.

Valentine, an indigene of Imo State, was said to be seeing off the 27-year-old with the hope that she would not raise the alarm when Nike suddenly called for help.

The suspects were subsequently arrested and taken to the Igando Police Division.

The incident happened on Thursday, January 14, 2016, on Idowu Ibiyemi Street, in the Igando area of Lagos State.

A police source told our correspondent that Valentine and Nike had met on a dating site.

He said, “Valentine is a 400-level Civil Engineering student of a university in Imo State. He chatted up the lady on the dating site and from there, their conversation shifted to Whatsapp, a mobile messaging application.

“The suspect told his friend, Kusimo, about the girl and they decided to trick her. Kusimo, a student of a polytechnic in Ogun State, would sometimes take Valentine’s phone and be chatting with Nike, without the girl knowing that it was Kusimo.

“Having done that for some days, they decided to invite her to Lagos.”

It was gathered that Nike, an indigene of Osun State, travelled down from Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, where she was based, to the Igando area.

Our correspondent learnt that the victim and Valentine scheduled to meet at his house.

PUNCH Metro gathered that instead of taking her to his apartment, the suspect took her to a popular hotel in the area.

The source said, “The girl did not know she was taken to a hotel because he took her through the back into the room.

“The second suspect, had, however, hid inside the toilet. As the lady entered the room, Valentine shut the door and Kusimo jumped out from his hideout with a bottle. He smashed the bottle on the ground and he told the girl to cooperate or they would kill her.

“While Valentine had two rounds, the second suspect had three rounds of sex with her. After they had raped her, they robbed her of her BlackBerry and N15, 000.

“In order to prevent her from exposing them, they took snapshots of her nakedness and threatened that if she told anyone about her ordeal, they would put the pictures on the Internet.”

PUNCH Metro gathered that after committing the act, Valentine decided to see Nike off.

The victim was, however, said to have raised the alarm, drawing the attention of passersby.

She was said to have narrated what happened to people, which led to the arrest of both suspects.

They were detained at the Igando Police Division, before the matter was transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba.

Another police source, however, said the suspects claimed that Nike agreed to mutual sex with them and only raised the alarm because she was not well paid.

She said, “How can you leave your place in Ibadan for Lagos and claim not to know what you are doing? It is not true that they raped her. She only wanted to make money off the men, and that was why she raised the alarm outside.

“The suspect said she demanded N200,000 for settlement and she is saying she does not want her fiancé and family members to be aware. She is not innocent.”

The Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmus, while confirming the incident, said the police had charged both suspects to court.

“Case charged to court,” she said in a text message.

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has arrested the immediate past Chief of Air Staff, Adesola Amosu. Operatives of the anti-graft agency arrested Amosu yesterday night at about 9pm and has kept him in their custody since then.

The former Air Force chief is among the senior military officers President Buhari recently ordered the EFCC to investigate in the ongoing $2.1 billion arms deal scandal. A source in EFCC say Amosu is being investigated for reportedly authorizing the purchase of two helicopters without functional rotors in which he later compelled two air force officers to fly in one of the helicopters after the craft was equipped with a rotor that was taken from an unserviceable Russian-made helicopter gunship.

The air force officers died in a crash near Yola, the capital of Adamawa State because the rotors fitted on their chopper was too heavy.

The Nigeria Air Force personnel is also being investigated in a $2.1 billion arms deal scandal and another N29 billion procurement deals that took place between 2014 and 2015.

Abimbola, one of the daughters of late Nigerian diplomat and billionaire, Antonio Deinde Fernandez, has accused her step mum  Halima, of trying to take control of their father's wealth and estate, as well as burying him without their permission.

It all started when a follower on Instagram sympathized with Abimbola after she posted a picture of herself on the jet with her late dad.

Bimbo Fernandez
Abimbola simply accepted and went ahead to explain that they would bring his body back to it’s proper resting place (Nigeria) as soon as they got the permission to.

Abimbola went on to dig up a tweet of her father’s mistress from last year where Halima kind of insinuated that Abimbola and her siblings are fake royalty.

She went ahead to post the screenshot on her Instagram page asking her supposed step-mum to show proof that she was legally married to the late billionaire.

Abimbola also went ahead to accuse her of hiding his will from them.

There was a show of shame recently at the premises of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, after one of the operatives allegedly battered a 19-year old canteen attendant he allegedly impregnated in Lagos State. The teenager was allegedly assaulted at the EFCC office located on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos where the operative works as exhibit keeper. The victim, Blessing Nwokpa, who was a canteen attendant at the EFCC premises was allegedly impregnated by the EFCC operative identified as Okeke Edward, who refused to take responsibility for the pregnancy.

P.M.NEWS gathered that rather, Okeke allegedly offered her money to terminate the pregnancy but Blessing refused. For her obstinacy, Blessing who was living with Edward as a squatter, allegedly became an object of battering and assault by him. Edward allegedly threw her and her belongings out of his house and sent her away from his house at 23, Akinseji street, Fadeyi. Blessing, who is now seven months pregnant, became homeless and could not feed herself after she was sacked from the canteen when she became pregnant.

Frustrated by Edward’s action, Blessing went to EFCC office where Edward works to request for money to feed and for ante-natal care. When Edward saw her at EFCC premises, he allegedly descended on her and battered her to the extent that she collapsed and was later rescued. Sources said the intervention of senior officers saved Blessing from further battering. Following the assault, Blessing went to the Legal Aids Council of Nigeria whose office is located in Ikoyi and reported the matter.

P.M.NEWS gathered that Blessing was brought to Lagos by her brother and got her a job as canteen attendant at the EFCC office. While she was there, her brother had accommodation problem and Blessing, who said she was then a virgin, started sleeping at the canteen at the end of the day’s work. She said when Edward saw her there and asked her why she was sleeping at the canteen, she informed him that his brother had accommodation problem and was trying to get another place.

She said Edward offered to assist her and asked her to be sleeping in his house pending when her brother would get another accommodation. She alleged that during the night, Edward would lure her into sex and eventually deflowered her and impregnated her. Blessing said that initially, she did not know she was pregnant and when she was having unusual feeling in her body, she went to a hospital and conducted a pregnancy test and it was positive. She said she informed Edward about the result of the test and he became angry and gave her N18,000 to go and abort the pregnancy but she refused.

Consequently, she said Edward started beating her and later threw her and her belongings out of his house for refusing to abort the baby. She said when she became pregnant, she stopped going to work and had no money to feed herself which made her go to his office to seek help. Blessing said when he saw her in the office on the fateful day, he began to beat her until other EFCC staff and people around came to her rescue. She said it was the people there that directed her to Legal Aids Council to complain and seek their assistance. She said when the Legal Aids Council invited Edward to settle the matter, he told them that he would not come and boasted that nothing would happen.

Blessing lamented that she is starved daily and she was not asking him to marry her rather, she wants him to take care of the pregnancy and after she delivers, she would look for ways to move on with her life. When our reporter visited the EFCC to meet Edward for comment, our reporter was told that he was not in the office. When he was contacted on phone, he refused to pick his call. He also did not respond to text messages sent to him by reporters. P.M.NEWS gathered that Blessing has been referred to an NGO located in Ogba area for assistance.

A fashion designer, Funmi (pseudonym), has been abducted and gang-raped by seven men on Powerline Road, Oko Oba, in the Agege area of Lagos State.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the Elere Police Division, where the rape was reported, had arrested a 32-year-old man, Abiodun Ariyo, as one of the suspects.

Ariyo, who is a cobbler and reportedly made advances to Funmi in the past which she refused, allegedly led six of his friends to abduct and gang-rape the 20-year-old lady.

Our correspondent learnt that on Sunday at about 9pm, Funmi was returning home from her shop when she was said to have been waylaid by Ariyo on Powerline Road.
The suspect, who reportedly came with six men, allegedly dragged the lady to a place where she was gang-raped.

Our correspondent gathered that Funmi was thereafter taken away to a yet-to-be-identified building where she was kept till the evening of Monday.

The victim’s family members were said to have looked everywhere for the lady without success, after which they reported at the police station.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the gang later sneaked into the area at about 11pm on Monday and dropped off Funmi on her street.

The lady was said to have become unconscious, as she could not talk for about a day.
Speaking with PUNCH Metro, Funmi’s elder brother, Olasunkanmi, said the family was distraught while trying to find out the whereabouts of the victim.
He said, “Abbey (Ariyo) had earlier disturbed my sister, but she was not interested. Later, he bought her a phone which she collected. When we learnt about it, we told her to return it as Abbey was not a responsible man.
“She went to return the phone to Abbey on Saturday. On Sunday, she was returning home around 9pm from her shop when Abbey led some guys to rape her.
“They took her to a place where they slept with her. We searched for her all through Sunday till Monday. I went to her shop, but her friends said they did not see her. Around 11pm on Monday, she staggered back home.

“We asked her what happened, but she could not say anything. It was on the second day, Tuesday, that she told us that it was Abbey and his friends that gang-raped her.
“She could not recall other faces well, but she recognised Abbey. However, the police have yet to arrest the other suspects.”

A social worker, identified only as Ike, who took Funmi for medical examination, said the result was being awaited to know if the victim had any complication.
She said, “The lady could identify only one person who has now been arrested. The suspect and his parents live in the same house. The man is still denying the incident. She has been taken for a medical test and we are awaiting the result.”

PUNCH Metro learnt that the matter had been brought to the attention of the Lagos State Domestic and Social Violence Response Team.

The team’s Coordinator, Lola Vivour-Adeniyi, said the Department of Public Prosecutions had prepared a letter to request the duplicate case file once the matter was charged to court.
She said, “When the victim was brought to our attention, we engaged the Divisional Police Officer and the police ensured the arrest of one of the key suspects.
“This is a drug-addicted rape, so the lady could barely recognise the faces. She narrated to us that when she saw Abbey, they were talking about his phone.
“She suddenly saw different men behind him, and one of them used a handkerchief to cover her nose. That was the last thing she knew.
“We are waiting for the result of the medical tests. So, once the matter is charged to court, we have stood by with the DPP to request the duplicate case file for advice.”

You know if you spend so much on a man, stood by him when he had nothing, took his shit and when he got made threw you away; you just don’t let go like that, even though you have moved on. That is the case of Blessing Rawa, Oritsefemi’s ex-girlfriend.

Okay this is what happened yesterday, when Oritsefemi posed with a book on ISIS and posted this;

“Life is kind of like a party. You invite a lot of people, some leave early; some stay all night, some laugh with you, some laugh at you, and some show up late. But in the end, after the fun, there are a few who stay to help you clean up the mess. And most of the time they aren’t even the ones who made the mess. These people are your real friends. They are the ones who matter.”

His ex who got to read the post, then took to her own IG page, posted a cute selfie and wrote;

“The look you give a fake friend that just talked about how "Having Real Friends is what matter." Continue...

She then made another one almost immediately and wrote;

“...And I hope your GREED And ABUSE etc won't send the REAL ones away.”

Socialite and psychologist Joro Olumofin took to social media today to apologize to women over his choice of words following his outburst on Instagram yesterday. He went 50 Shades Of Ballistic when he replied Beat Fm OAP Gbemi's party crashing sub on twitter (M'ogbo M'oya).

Using words like 'cobweb filled vagina, 'ugly frog princess', 'were you raped as a child?' and other unsavory epithets, he and his brother, Dokun, roasted Gbemi without joy and sent twitter Nigeria on a meltdown.

After a barrage of complaints, he has issued a rather tongue-in-cheek apology to his readers and deleted his posts from the outburst.

He wrote:

Manchester United star Memphis Depay may not be having the best of times on the field, but that does not appear to be the case off it, as the winger showed of his new love interest Lori Harvey, step-daughter of American comedian and TV personality Steve Harvey.

With the Effiel Tower acting as the perfect backdrop, Depay posted a picture to his Instagram account of him and Harvey embracing in Paris, known to some as 'the city of love.'

Only a few months ago, the United winger had been linked with Karrueche Tran, the former girlfriend of R&B star Chris Brown.

Steve Harvey gained worldwide recognition back in December when he infamously named the wrong winner of the Miss World Pageant.
The Family Feud host mistakenly named the first runner-up Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner. A few minutes after she was crowned, Harvey announced that he had read the results incorrectly and that Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach was in fact the winner.
He later apologised to both contestants.

Depay arrived at Old Trafford to much fanfare in June 2015, for £25million from PSV Eindhoven, but has so far struggled for form, causing assistant manager and United legend Ryan Giggs to blame this on his flashy lifestyle, urging him to keep more of a low profile away from the pitch.
The 21-year-old has only scored twice in the Premier League this season, sporadically showing glimpses of his potential - a far cry from his 28-goal exploits that fired PSV to the Eredivisie title and convinced the United hierarchy to invest in the Dutchman.
As Manchester United prepare to take on Derby County in the FA Cup fourth round on Friday, Depay will be hopeful of getting both his and United's season back on track.

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Nigeria’s immediate ex-president, has finally made some remarks regarding the $2.1 billion arms saga that has threatened to rock the nation to its foundation. Jonathan said he would not interfere with ongoing prosecutions.

The former president made this remark in a series of tweets, in reaction to certain claims that he has been too quiet even as many of “his men” are being prosecuted.

Jonathan also assured in his series of tweets that he will not be mute on such a huge issue which threatens the peace and economic stability of the nation.
The former president further informed that though the issue on ground is very pertinent and must be attended to with urgency, still his post presidential focus remains to advance the course of democracy and foster the growth of good governance in Africa.
Jonathan who currently hold the title of African Sun Times international person of the year, at the moment is in Geneva, Switzerland, where he is holding a press conference.
It will be recalled that the former head-of-state, had earlier dissociated himself from malicious reports which suggests that he had a hand in the ongoing arms procurement scandal levelled against his administration.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a diploma holder, Samuel Onochie, for allegedly sexually assaulting a pregnant woman, Esther (pseudonym), in Jakande, in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area of the state.

It was learnt that the woman, said to be eight-month-old pregnant, was passing through the area on Sunday at about 6am, when Onochie ambushed her.

The 34-year-old suspect, who told the police that he bagged a diploma in law from a university in Benin, Edo State, reportedly threw Esther on the floor and stripped her wrapper.

Our correspondent gathered that he had dipped his finger into Esther’s private parts and was about to penetrate her when a man was drawn to the scene by the woman’s wailing.

The man was said to have held Onochie, who is also a cobbler, while Esther rushed to the Ilasan Police Division and reported the incident, leading to his arrest.

A police source told our correspondent that the suspect had yet to explain why he allegedly committed the act.

“It is very disturbing that a man could commit such an act, especially with a pregnant woman. As if it was not enough, he did it in broad daylight. He has not been able to tell us why he committed the act,” the source said.

Onochie was brought before a Tinubu Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday on one count of sexual assault by a police prosecutor, Inspector Philip Osijale.

The charge read, “That you, Samuel Onochie, 34, on January 24, 2016, at about 6am, at Jakande, Lekki, in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area, within the Lagos Magisterial District, did sexually assault one Esther, by inserting your finger into her private parts, thereby committing an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 259 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2011.”

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge and elected summary trial before the presiding magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi.

Owolabi granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The magistrate said one of the sureties must be related by blood to the defendant, adding that both sureties must have paid three years tax to the Lagos State Government.

While adjourning the case till March 14, 2016, Owolabi ordered that the defendant should be remanded in prison pending the time he would perfect his bail conditions.

He told the prosecutor to send the case file to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.

NIGERIA may be headed for another round of Kerosene crisis as the Federal Government has directed petroleum depots to sell the Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK) at N73.37k per litre from the initial price of N40.90k per litre it had set earlier.

At the former price of N40.90k per litre, only Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) outlets sold at the recommended price of N50 .00. while other filling stations sold at between N120.00 and N150.00.

The Federal Government had pegged price of Kerosene at N50 per litre, making the product to be scarce and prompting marketers to indiscriminately hike the retail price to between N80 to N100 per litre.

But the latest directive on the new price was contained in a memo to all petroleum products marketers in country released by the PPPRA in Abuja.

The memo also circulated to petroleum depots at the weekend enjoined them to comply with the new ex- depot price of N73.37k per litre, although it does not give more details on the pump price.

Already the directive has elicited criticisms from the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), which said the price of kerosene should also be reduced as was the case with petrol because they are products of the same crude oil, the price of which has crashed in the international market.

This development means that with an increase of more than 70 per cent, marketers would inevitably, also hike the retail price of the product after adding the associated charges.

It also shows that whether it is at NNPC outlets or at private filling stations, Nigerians would have to pay more for kerosene.

Reacting to the directive, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), said the new price template for kerosene announced at the weekend by the Petroleum Products Pricing and Regulatory Authority (PPPRA) would go along way to alleviate the suffering of the Nigerian people who have paid so much for the product over the years.

The National President of the IPMAN, Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo, said, the new price was commendable and that marketers will comply immediately.

“We shall study the template and make our position known before the end of the week, but I must state here that government has reasoned that even when it was placed at N50 per litre end users actually buy it at N120 to N130 per litre.

“What is our concern now if for government to redouble its efforts and ensure the product is made available to marketers.

As the ongoing probe of $2.1billion arms deals continues, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday gave “ThisDay” publisher Prince Nduka Obaigbena a two-week ultimatum to refund N670million allegedly collected for unexecuted contracts.

Obaigbena told investigators that he never benefitted from slush funds from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).

He said the administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan paid the said sums to “ThisDay” and the Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN) as compensation for the bombing of the newspaper house by Boko Haram and the seizure of copies of many newspapers by the military.
He said there was a presidential proclamation by former President Jonathan that “ThisDay” will be compensated for the loss to Boko Haram.

He said Jonathan made the pledge after an inspection visit to the newspaper.
Obaigbena was quizzed for two days on the activities of General Hydrocarbons and inflow into the company’s account from ONSA.

A source, who spoke in confidence, said: “What we are investigating is General Hydrocarbons. Records from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) indicated that Nduka Obaigbena is a director of the company.

“ONSA reported that General Hydrocarbons was one of the companies that received payments purportedly for contracts without contract documents or approval.
“Between December 8, 2014 and May 23, 2015, Obaigbena received N670million from ONSA. The reasons stated on the payment mandates are as follows: First tranche of N150million(environmental security project) and the remaining tranches(payment for energy consultancy)
“Obaigbena said he was paid compensation of N550 million for the bombing of “ThisDay” office in Abuja but there is no nexus between this payment and the money he collected for contracts. None of the sums shows that what he got from ONSA was compensation.

“The complaint before us is that the company was given money without contractual agreement.
“By all records, Obaigbena was paid for unexecuted contracts. It is government’s funds and he has to refund the N670million, “ an EFCC official said last night.

Another source privy to the investigation said: “The EFCC has given Obaigbena a maximum of two weeks to refund the amount he collected from ONSA.
“Obaigbena has signed an undertaking to refund the money in question. The anti-graft commission has also granted him an administrative bail.”

On the payment made to NPAN, the source simply said: “Investigation is still in progress.”
The source added that EFCC operatives were courteous and Obaigbena was friendly and unperturbed during the investigation.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Osun Command, has arrested two suspects, who pretended to be mad, for being in possession of a decomposing human head.

The suspects, Alaba Folawiyo and Mutiu Lawal, according to Mr. Wale Folarin, the state’s NSCDC Public Relations Officer, were hiding in an uncompleted building near Apomu Junction in Ikire, headquarters of Irewole LGA, when they were arrested.

A Blackberry phone hidden inside a drug pack, knife, perfume cans, clothes, school bags, shoes, wristwatches, ATM cards, electrical materials, roofing sheets, cooking utensils, suspected to be belongings of the victims of the suspects, were found in the building.

According to the corps, information gathered showed that the suspects had been in the area for a long time pretending to be mad men, while carrying out their activities with others who are now at large.

Kenyans have received the news of mandatory polygamy by men in Eritrea with a mix of bewilderment and excitement. Activists have posted a memo allegedly by the Government of Eritrea asking men to marry at least two wives due to acute shortage of men occasioned by casualties during the civil war with Ethiopia.

In the statement written in Arabic assures of government support to the polygamous marriages.

The activists translate it thus, "Based on the law of God in polygamy, and given the circumstances in which the country is experiencing in terms of men shortage, the Eritrean department of Religious Affairs has decided on the following .”

First that every man shall marry at least two women and the man who refuses to do so shall be subjected to life imprisonment with hard labour.

“The woman who tries to prevent her husband from marrying another wife shall be punished to life imprisonment,” alleges the activists in their translation.

And Kenyans have reacted to these announcements with bemusement with some suggesting if they could change their citizenship immediately and take advantage of the new laws in the country.

“At this rate, I can see the Eritrea Government spreading new embassy outlets in Kakamega, Embu, Siaya and Busia counties to help hasten visa processing,” said one Kenyan on facebook.

“He is so so considerate of women! That's good of him,” said another.

The Standard could not immediately authenticate the document nor the translation and it was not clear why the statement was not in the other two national languages, Tigrinya and Tigre.

The May 1998 to June 2000 Eritrean-Ethiopian war saw 150,000 soldiers killed from either sides but having a bigger impact on male population in the tiny Eritrea nation who were then just 4million people in total

Some hoodlums have invaded Iya Agan Street on Old Apapa Road in the Ebute-Meta area of Lagos State, killing a 23-year-old, identified only as Dada.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the hoodlums, who wielded guns and cutlasses, asked residents not to panic while they slaughtered Dada, alias Ratio, saying they (hoodlums) did not come for innocent lives.
The 23-year-old, whose family members or address, had yet to be known, was killed around 5.30pm on Friday in the area.
It was learnt that anxious residents, however, contacted the vigilance group in the area, which in turn contacted the Iponri Police Division.
It was gathered that when policemen arrived at the scene, Dada’s corpse was recovered, but the hoodlums had fled.
When PUNCH Metro got to the street on Monday, some of the residents said they wanted to flee when they heard the gunshots, but the hoodlums calmed them down, saying they only trailed a rival member to the area, and they had no plan to unleash terror on anyone.
A shop owner, who gave his name only as Abimbola, said the attackers came in two tricycles, otherwise known as Keke Marwa.
He said, the gunshots did not have effect, they slaughtered him with a cutlass.”
A resident, who declined to mention her name, said Dada was known to be moving with the Fagbayimu Boys, adding that rival hoodlums, trailed him to the area.
She said, “Those hoodlums had come on Tuesday to attack a shop owner and collected his phones and money. So, when we saw them again on Friday, we were afraid. But they said they knew the person they were looking for.
“Minutes later, they found Dada and started shooting at him. There was a man who came to repair his car at a mechanic workshop at that time, he left his car and climbed a fence in fear. But the hoodlums continued to assure
people around the scene that they should not run.
“ I do not know the deceased’s family members, but he was usually seen with the Fagabayimu Boys. When we told the man on the fence that the hoodlums had gone and he should come down, he refused.”
One of the executives of the vigilance group, Mr. Ishola Agbodemu, said one of the hoodlums, identified only as Ayo, was caught on Saturday and handed over to the Anti-Robbery Section of the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba.
He said, “The hoodlums wanted to start reprisals in our area, but we brought out vigilance group members to apprehend them. On Saturday, one of the suspects, Ayo, was caught with weapons. They were actually three, but we caught one of them.
“He is at the SDCI, and the police are interrogating him.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the killing.
She added that investigation was ongoing into the incident

Were u raped as a child? Do you have man issues? Is your clitoris so tiny you can feel any sensation? Are u a lesbian on a low? Do you dildo your anal every night thinking about me? Do you wish you were a man so could crash events / weddings with me? I've been hearing you talk trash about me for a bit but today is your day.

Tunde & Michael Demuren are my childhood friends we grew up together in omole / Ogba. We've played basketball, partied, gotten drunk, set p with babes together. Is it a sin they invited me via email and text for their wedding? Yes I like weddings , sorry I LOVEeeeeee weddings, I don't do night clubs ever. How does this affect you finding a man? Or stop selling those your disgusting and silly excuse for shoes and clothes you sell? Lagos sha ! How does someone whose style is dead sell clothes? Everyone is a fashion designer #OnlyInNigeria

@gbemioo Seriously who the fuck do you think you are? Because you work in a radio station? How much do you earn? , what do you drive? How many state or federal contracts have you gotten? Who have you helped in Lagos or Ondo? or given back to with your Oap? Living life through other people behind a desk everyday talking about people. You're suffering from delusions of eloquence ( you love to hear yourself talk to much that you just say balls) and you have a maladaptive personality.

You have no style acumen, no makeup skills, you look dead on the red carpet always, remove Oap from your life you're just an ugly Gorilla / frog princess. God was sleeping when the Angels were making you.

It's because of people like my career is doing so well. I'm starting a match making program soon via my DoktorMofin company I will personally take it upon my self to find you a Bae because if you had a warm embrace every night you won't try such, you think I'm a walk over or a tooth pick? . Just created a hashtag for you #FindGbemiBae2016 . Google my name in less than a year of my grind you'll see the work I've put in.

How I live my life, who I fuck, what I wear , events I crash or where I go is not your business. And PLEASE IM WAITING FOR YOU TO TELL ME ALL THESE THINGS TO MY FACE. JESUS CHRIST KNOWS IM WAITING. since you're the voltron for Lagos. #FindGbemiBae2016

I'm done with this local Owo (ondo) boy sorry girl.

I'm fed up with all you people , fake pages, blogs ️comments talking trash. I have a Bsc , Msc in Psychology Phd in view ; yet I'm not qualified to give right articles , host shows, do TV interviews, do competitions and positive things with my life. No amount of Internet Gang up, bullying will alter my lifestyle. I can sew 1 million Agbada and post 1 million pictures it's not your business.
