Nigerian Premier League Club Signs On 10 Brazilians


The Nigerian Professional Football League 2015/2016 season which resumes on February 21will be full of glamour as Ifeanyi Ubah football club have signed 10 Brazilian nationals.




Six of the players touched-down in Lagos wednesday, January 20, and will head straight to Ibadan where the team is camping to meet up with their colleagues.

Speaking the club's Chairman Chukwuma Ubah who hailed the historic event and urged the players to do their best so they can earn their contracts with the club, said the players will be fully paid their salaries without any issues. He also said the club has an agreement with English club West Ham United and a Brazilian club which involves the transfers of players amongst other logistics.

He said: “We have an agreement with West Ham an another Brazilian club, the idea is to have Brazilians play in Nigeria and naturally Brazilians will be interested in our league.”


On how much the players will earn, he said: “Your pay will depend on what you play.”
