Black Parents Hide Your Kids: George Zimmerman Spotted Shopping For A Gun

Zimmerman was spotted on Thursday shopping for a new gun in Cocoa, Fla. He stopped in at Kel-Tec gun dealership and inquired about a Kel-Tec KSG. The 12-round, 12 gauge shotgun has a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $1,197, and is manufactured by the same company that made the PF-9 gun that Zimmerman used to kill Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman was given a tour of the plant where the guns are assembled, and he had his picture taken with one of the employees. There is no word, however, on whether the prospective client actually purchased a shotgun. Zimmerman was acquitted of second degree murder in the death of Martin on July 13. Since then, he has only been spotted in public three times. Zimmerman helped rescue a family trapped in an overturned SUV near Sanford, Fla., on July 17. Two weeks later, on July 31, the former neighborhood watch volunteer was stopped in Texas for speeding.

Since his fateful encounter with Martin on Feb. 26, 2012, Zimmerman has received a steady stream of death threats, and both he and his parents have gone into hiding.
