Kefee Plans Valentine Treat To Mark Two Years Anniversary Of Her "Branama Kitchen" Restaurant

Irikefe Don-Momoh, foremost female recording artiste better known as Kefee will be celebrating the second anniversary of her celebrity cafeteria, Branama Kitchen.


As part of the celebrations for the hangout, Kefee said they would be giving out a food bonanza to couples on Valentine's Day.

She said that all couples who visit the restaurant on 14 February can eat two plates of food and pay for just one.

Kefee, who has been in the United States of America where she is studying Production and Directing at the Chicago Access Network TV, in a telephone chat said she was glad that the restaurant is celebrating its two years of existence and thanked God for His mercies.

"I am grateful to God for bringing us this far. I opened Branama Kitchen on my birthday two years ago, so I am also celebrating my birthday and I thank God for all He has done for me," she said.

The restaurant located at Mende Maryland, Lagos, was opened on 5 January 2012 on Kefee's birthday.

Kefee went on to address the issue of the closure of the restaurant some months back. "Yes, the restaurant was closed but it was just for maintenance purposes. If you visit the restaurant you will see some of the changes that have taken place there," she said.

Kefee is one of the few very active and relevant Nigerian female music acts with four albums to her name. She broke into the industry in 2003 with her first album, Branama and the hit track of the same title.

A second album, Branama 2, followed in 2005 but it was her third album, A Piece of Me (2009), which had another hit, Kokoroko, featuring Timaya that reaffirmed her position in the Nigerian music industry. Her fourth album which was released in 2013 is called Chorus Leader.
