A former acting National Vice-Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Adedeji Doherty, on Friday, formally declared his aspiration to fly the party's flag in the 2015 governorship elections in Lagos State.
With the declaration, Doherty, an engineer, is seeking the party's governorship ticket in Lagos for the third time.
Doherty, who arrived at the PDP state secretariat in Ikeja, Lagos State with hundreds of his supporters, said he remained the best aspirant for the ticket.
Addressing the party's executive members in the state, he stated that the large turnout of supporters was an attestation of how much the people loved him.
"As a founding member of the PDP, I have been a governorship aspirant of the party in 2003 and 2007. I believe I have what it takes to clinch the seat for the PDP.
