The Nigeria Football Federation, has relieved Stephen Keshi of his duties as coach of the Super Eagles and replaced him with another former handler, Shuaibu Amodu.

Amodu will lead a consortium of coaches for Nigeria's final two 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Congo and South Africa.

According to reports, a foreign manager will then be appointed to lead the team.

The decision to let Keshi go was taken after the NFF Executive Committee met on Wednesday night, after the Eagles battled to a 3-1 win over Sudan in Abuja.

According to a source, the meeting was held 'in the interest of Nigerian football and the desire to ensure qualification for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals'.

At the meeting, Keshi, whose two-year contract expired after the 2014 World Cup and his technical and backroom staff were axed.

Salisu Yusuf, Gbenga Ogunbote and Alloy Agu will now work with Amodu for the last two matches of the qualifying series.

Toyin Ibitoye is the new Media Officer, while Team Secretary Dayo Enebi kept his position.

Also former U-23 coach, Samson Siasia has been recalled to take over the Under 23 national team, also called the Flying Eagles.

Siasia, according to the NFF communique signed by the Chairman of the Communique Drafting Committee, Sulaiman Yahaya-Kwande, will be assisted by Fatai Amoo, while the Technical and Development Department will recommend the other members of the crew.

It will be recalled that Siasia guided the U-23 Eagles to a silver medal win in Beijing 2008 Olympics, where the team lost by a lone goal to star-studded Argentina side.
