Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy who flagged off her eight African countries tour tagged "Cuppy Takes Africa" last weekend in Lagos, may soon become unpopular among her friends on Facebook.
The daughter of a business mogul, Femi Otedola, during the week threatened to delete about 1000 friends of hers on Facebook. She explained that the decision was informed by the urgent need to accept request from countries she's billed to visit during her tour such as Ghana, Senegal, South Africa among others.
DJ Cuppy announced this development on her Facebook page. She writes, " Please, we are very sorry for the inconvience this decision of ours may cost you.
Do understand that we mean no disrespect, disregard, snubbing or to cause mixed feeling. Since yesterday(Wenesday) our Facebook page has hit its maximum accept of 5,000 friends.
And that has pushed us to a position where we cannot accept more friends, yet we need to accept more Facebook friends because of the Cuppy Takes African tour.
A social media expert advised us to take the hard and only way, which is to randomly delete 1,000 friends so we can accept request from Ghana, Senegal, South Africa and other part of the Tour can access me on Facebook."
However, to be exempted from this massive delete, DJ Cuppy advised her active friends to ensure that they like, share and comment on Pastor Chris Omatsola's Facebook Page, warning that they should not ignore the instruction.
