A suspected motorcycle robber has been arrested by the Niger state police command. The suspect, 24-year-old Manyan Gimba, was arrested for stealing a Bajaj motorcycle valued at N230,000.
When interrogated by the police, Gimba confessed to have been stealing motorcycles for over five years.
He said he steals anytime he gets broke.
“Frankly speaking, any time I can not meet up with my personal needs, the thing to do was to dispossess people of their motorcycles or other valueables that can fetch me money quickly. Since I’m unemployed and there is no job anywhere, I had to engage myself in a thing that would fetch me money for survival, either negative or positive things, I don’t mind,” Gimba said
Confirming his arrest, the spokesperson of the state police command, Muhammad Abubakar, said the matter would be charged to court after investigation
