A middle aged man was this morning crushed to death by a moving train at Bolade, Oshodi, beside The Arena Market, Lagos, western Nigeria.
An eyewitness informed P.M.NEWS that the yet to be identified man was walking in company of his friends when the train crushed him.
The witness said while the train was hooting, friends of the crushed man tried to pull him out of its way but he resisted.
Shortly after his refusal, the train crushed him into pieces, according to the eye witness, who craved anonymity.
"I went to Bolade/Oshodi to buy some items. While trying to buy the items, I saw some young men walking on the railway tracks while the train was coming from Agege. Suddenly I saw some men telling one of their friends to leave the tracks but he refused, only to be crushed a few seconds later."
Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased have been cleared by his friends.
