It was a sober moment on Monday night as staff of MIC Funeral and other funeral companies held a candle light in honour of six staff of MIC who died in the Associated Airline Plane crash in Lagos on 3 October.
Six staff of MIC, including its Director, Tunji Okusanya and his son, Olatunji Okusanya Jnr. died in the crash.
The candle light procession began at Odunlami Street, Lagos where MIC Funeral is located, around 6.00 p.m. through Campos Square to Tokunbo, through Marina and back to Odunlami Street.
MIC staff, workers of other funeral companies in the area, street urchins, road transport workers and several others, all together, took part in the procession.
Some of them wore black attires with the picture of Okusanya inscripted in the vest as they go along in sober mood mourning the departed.
Daughter of the late MIC boss, Bolanle Okusanya, described the death of her father and her brother as unfortunate as death is inevitable.
She said it was very painful that her father had to leave them at such a time as this.
Bolanle stated that her father's wish before he died was that when he passed on, he should be celebrated in a very big way.
She appealed for the speedy release of the dead bodies for burial.
Bolanle further extolled the virtues of her late father and her brother, saying she would greatly miss them.
