Back in 2010, one production company, Brasileirinhas, released a movie called Copa do Sexo which unsurprisingly did very well, and now filming has started on a sequel based on next summer's events in Brazil. Recording started on Wednesday.
The Brazilian porn industry are however wary of legal threats.
Back in 2008 a movie was released starring a made-for-the-part Cristiano Ronaldo lookalike. Ronaldo got a court injunction against the film and it was put out of business.
Clayton Nunes, a director for Brasileirinhas, told UOL about the problems the industry are facing:
We cannot use anything official and, if necessary, we need to cover over all brands. Creating an illusion is one thing. It's okay to use footballs, shirts, and flags. But you need to urge caution when dealing with the likes of FIFA, CBF, Nike etc..
You can make a parody of a footballer. But if the intention is to be exactly like Ronaldo then you have big problems. Our nature with Brasileirinhas is to make a joke of things.
We can not use real tags, so we work more with colors referring to the international teams. It's more a parody. We do not care much about being faithful even to girls. Can we have a brunette with the shirt of Sweden, for example.
