Manchester United The Most Valuable Sports Team In The World- Forbes

Manchester United is the most valuable sports team in the world after agreeing a mammoth kit deal with adidas, according to Forbes.






United signed a deal with the German manufacturer on Monday worth £75m a season ($130m).




Adidas will pay the club £750m to make their kit for 10 years from the start of the 2015-16 season.





Forbes reported that shares in United jumped five per cent after the deal was announced yesterday.






And they calculate that the club is now worth an estimated $3.6bn, jumping ahead of Real Madrid, who are thought to be worth around $3.3bn.






United's agreement with adidas means they have signed both the world's most expensive kit deal
and most expensive shirt sponsorship deal.






Chevrolet are paying United an estimated £53m a year ($80m) to sponsor their shirt from the start of this season. Qatar Airways pay Barcelona $45m a year, Deutsche Telekom pay Bayern Munich $40m
a year and Emirates pay Real Madrid $39m a year.





Away from football, Forbes value baseball's New York Yankees at $2.5bn and NFL franchise the Dallas Cowboys at $2.3bn.
