A Brief Profile Of Zarah Bunu, The Inspector-General's Wife-To-Be

It is no longer news that the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Dahiru Abubakar, is preparing to walk down the aisle a second time.

But here is a sneak peak at the IG's wife-to-be. She is 35-year-old Zarah Bunu, daughter of Bunu Sherrif Musa, Nigeria's Ambassador to France in 1999. He was also former Minister of Industries, Mines and Power, Water Resources, Employment, Labour and Productivity.

Zarah had her formative education at the Cobham Hall School, in Kent, United Kingdom, her university education at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and the Loughborough University in the United Kingdom. She has worked at Impresit Bakalori; CVL; Sahara Group; and is currently employed at the External Relations Department of Afren, an independent oil and gas company.

Referred to as an Abuja big girl, she is an extrovert and mixes well socially. Among her friends is Halima, the daughter of Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote.

The 53-year-old Abubakar lost his wife, Maryam to cancer in 2012. Already, pre-wedding pictures of the lovebirds, who were introduced to each other through a mutual female friend, is all over the social media. The wedding takes place on September 14.
