Rapper Ja Rule has been forced to rubbish claims that he left his wife for his prison cell mate.
Combating one of the more bizarre rumours of the week, the 37-year-old tackled 'false lies' allegedly started by his own spouse, Aisha Atkins, when a website quoted her dropping the bombshell on MTV show Married Life After Prison.
'He wrote all them love songs and still don't know how to treat a b***h,' Atkins was quoted saying in her opening statement on the show.
'We spent ten-plus years building our marriage but it only took him two to decide he'd rather suck a d*** than be with his wife.'
The Thug Lovin' rapper was released from prison earlier this year after spending two years locked up for a gun charge, but allegedly shipped out of home straight after.
'He returned home alright – to get his s*** and leave,' Atkins exclaimed after allegedly claiming she discovered her husband of 12 years was leaving her for not only a man but his prison cell mate.
But the New Yorker – real name Jeffrey Atkins – has slammed the rumours and the website featuring the quotes, writing on Twitter: 'OK I guess I have to address the idiots these rumors are FALSE LIES made up by some non mf factor website CLOWNS lmao…'
He then retweeted one of his followers who wrote: 'rumors are started by haters•spread by fools & believed by idiots #vroom" #Rns'.
