I wonder why the Management of Nigeria Info will let such a talented OAP such as Matse to leave. The least should have been a query or a penalty, not sacking this radio goddess.
Popular OAP Matse has been fired from her job at radio station Nigeria Info 99.3 - she was initially with Wazobia FM but she switched to Nigeria Info two years ago.
Maste who got married a few months ago to her boo Ekemelu Bertram Nnoli, was fired by the management on September 2, due to several reasons.
'They felt she lacked discipline, she couldn't be called to order, she would come late to work', a staff who would rather remain anonymous says.
Reacting to the quit notice, Matse took to twitter saying "Behind me is infinite power. Before me is endless possibility. Around me is boundless opportunity. Why should I fear?"
She also released a press statement where she stated her side of the story saying,
"I prefer to be silent on matters like this but since silence is assumed to be consent, I will not consent to my hard earned reputation being dragged to the gutters. I worked too hard for it.
On the 2nd of September 2013 while on admission at First Consultant Medical Centre, Lagos. I received an email while on my sick bed, announcing my termination. Honestly, I was not angry but a bit shocked. I had been too sick lately due to my pregnancy and was not at my best but I expected my company to be supportive of me.
