James Avery Who Played The Role Of "Uncle Phil" In Fresh Prince Of Bel Air Dies At 65

James Avery, who played the role of 'Uncle Philip Banks' in popular sitcom, Fresh Prince Of Bel Air has died.

He died at a hospital in Los Angeles on the 31st of December 2013, days after having an open heart surgery. It was reported that he died from complications.


Avery played a lot of roles in movies and TV shows. He was in Grey's Anatomy, NYPD Blue, Dharma and Greg, also played the role of Caddy Mack in 2007 movie, Who's Your Caddy?.
