News has it that Redeemer's University, on Tuesday, 2nd of September 2014, decided to terminate the appointments of over 200 members of staff.
It was understood that the University management took the decision to cut cost as they'll be relocating to their permanent site in Ede, Osun state.
But rumours has it that the Oba of Ede actually instructed the University to employ indigines of Ede amongst it's staff.
But this didn't go down well with the disengaged workers, as they staged a protest at the office of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye to air their grievances.
The GO promised to look into the plight of the staff.
