APC Supporters In Rivers Throng The streets, Protesting The Election

Hundreds of APC supporters stormed the streets of Port Harcourt in Rivers State this afternoon, protesting the conduct of yesterday's election in the state. 

According to Channels TV reporter Emmanuel Ereyi, the 50,000 protesters were drawn from across the state were led by APC governorship candidate, Dakuku Peterside. 

The protesters who claimed that there was no election in Rivers State yesterday, were said to have marched through major roads leading to INEC office in the state capital, amid the heavy presence of unarmed security operatives. However, the protesters were barred from gaining entrance into the premises of INEC's office by soldiers and policemen.
