A suspected member of the cult group, Badoo, was apprehended around 2am at Igbo-Oluwo Estate Gate, Lowa, Ikorodu this morning and was burnt to death by a mob at Jumofak Bus Stop, Ikorodu, close to Igbo-Oluwo.

According to residents of the community, the suspect who was stark naked, was about to enter a compound when he was sighted by members of the community's vigilante group who pursued and apprehended him.

A woman named Ann on Thursday put an Uber Driver on blast after he attempted to forcefully have sexual relations with her when she entered his taxi. She has narrated the full details of her shocking experience as another lady confirmed the randy behaviour of the said driver. She wrote;

"Hi my name is jossyann, a dance artist and a student of university of Lagos. I have been using uber for 2years now and I have never had such a devastating experience before. My initial story was a summary, here is the full version. On the 28 of June 2017, I started a trip with Mr Oluwatobi (an uber driver) at 7:57pm at Isolo; my initial destination was Gbagada, but I changed my trip to Omole phase 1 which was ok by the driver. My battery was low so I sat in front to charge my phone. I noticed the driver was chatty and I stopped responding when he got personal. At some point I noticed he was passing through dark and unfamiliar streets and I asked where we were and he said Bariga. I got worried and asked him why, he said he wanted to buy me food because he liked me. I declined and asked him to either drop me at my destination or I come down. He continued driving, he then said he was tipsy and horny that I should cooperate. I started making calls to friends to come to my aid because I was confused and afraid. He drove off through Yaba to different locations I was not familiar with (as shown on the map). He persisted that he won't let me go until he had his way. I called my boss (director) to speak to him on speaker phone; he did and he advised him to take me to my destination in order to avoid problems; this infuriated the driver. I threatened to call the police, after which he started driving fast and dangerously, at this point I was afraid for my life. He was driving around town totally off my route still trying to convince me to oblige. At some point in Ikeja he refused to stop at a police check at this point I started crying, praying, making calls and my boss called again and this time he was able to convince him to do the right thing or else he will be prosecuted. Thankfully this time he took me to my destination. A journey of 30mins became the scariest 3hours of my life. I am grateful to God that I came out unharmed.

1: On that night I was wearing a big shirt, jeans face cap and snickers ( the costumes I wear in my dance videos are for studio work only and that's not how I dress in public).

2: I have been dancing since age 5 and have worked with many reputable brands and , so the purpose of this write up is not to seek attention but for uber to call the driver to order and for others to learn from it. I am also aware of the legal implications of peddling false accusations; so I challenge the individual to refute my claims.

3: At different stages in my ordeal, I tried to figure a way out but wasn't sure of his mental state and if any aggressive attempt to exit the vehicle might complicate the situation, for example his refusal to stop at the police check or to talk to anyone when he claimed he was lost.

4: Although, there was no physical assault on me, I was compelled to stay in the vehicle against my will for 3 hours, with constant persuasions and threats to have "FUN" with him. I was mentally tortured, verbally abused and I believe if not for God's grace, the barrage of calls and my persistent boss who spoke to him severally, the story might have turned out differently.

The 14-year old marriage between a couple, Osieme and his wife, Nonye (surname withheld) has crashed after the mother of four returned from a trip, discovered used condoms in her room and their 13-year old house help told her it was her husband that used it on her when she was not around.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Nnewi Town where the husband sells motor spare parts at the Nkwo market in Nnewi Local Government, Anambra State but the couple are from Umuchu Town in Aguata Local Government Area in the Anambra State.

The maid also told her madam that since she came to their house, she has been sharing her husband with her and was unable to get pregnant because of the condoms.

She explained to her madam that since her husband has been sleeping with her, he was the person that usually packed them and probably he forgot the ones she found in their bedroom.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Osieme used to live in Lagos and was at the Ladipo market before his business collapsed and he then moved to Nnewi.

It was gathered that it was while he was struggling to pick up in business that he met Nonye who was a senior civil servant and they later got married according to Igbo tradition and thereafter formalised with a church wedding.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Nonye obtained some loans and gave Osieme to support his business and bought him a Space Wagon Car for the smooth running of his business.

Nonye was also said to have given him some money to start a building project in their village.

However, when things turned round for Osieme, he started flirting around; chasing other women including widows.

These had resulted in constant quarrels and fighting which both families had tried to resolve but Osieme continued.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Nonye traveled to Abuja for a seminar, returned and found the condoms littered under their matrimonial bed.

She was surprised because they have never used condom since they got married and had to summon the house girl to ask to know how many women her husband brought into the house when she was not around.

The girl told her that she did not see her husband with any woman.

She then threatened to deal with her and showed her the used condoms, accusing the girl of lying to her who was even her relation that brought her over to train her.

The house girl then told her madam what happened and she broke down in tears.

Nonye later parked her property, picked her children with the house girl and left the flat at Nnewi to Onitsha where she is now living with her children.

Nathaniel Bassey took to his IG page to thank God after surviving an accident.According to him, he was on his home back with friends when a car ran into them from behind. He wrote....

'Thank You Jesus!
We cancel that appointment with death.
Good morning,I just want to use this opportunity to thank God and share my testimony with you. On the 28th of June I was on my way home from the last halleluyah praise challenge night which took place at the glitz event centre, I was inside a car and another car ran into us just at the lekki 3rd round about (Ikate) and my car somersaulted inside the roundabout. People were scared that we were dead. The only thing I remembered saying last was the Blood of Jesus. I and the driver came out alive without a single scratch. The most amazing thing is that this happened two days to my birthday. I just want to bless God because the devil failed. He is the olowogbogboro indeed and I bless his name. OlowogbogboroolowogbogboroNathaniel Bassey ,Nathaniel Bassey -Official I am a living testimony'.

Thank God!

A lecturer with the Ogun State College of Health Technology, Ilese Ijebu, Dr Seyi Adu, has been indefinitely suspended by the college for allegedly having sex with a nursing student of the school, Mosunmola.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspension was posted on a notice board at the administration block of the college, where the academic community was asked not to have any dealings with him.
Our correspondent had reported that Adu and Mosunmola had sex in a hotel sometime in August 2016, which both parties did not deny.

However, while Adu, who is married with two children, accused the 28-year-old of seducing him, Mosunmola said the lecturer coerced her into the relationship as a precondition to passing his course which she failed.

A human rights lawyer with the state ministry of justice was said to have successfully brokered a deal between the duo, wherein Adu agreed to pay Mosunmola a monthly stipend of N5,000 in addition to N7,000 for her ante-natal registration.

Within two months, the agreement broke down after Mosunmola presented a list of items required for her delivery, which she valued at N50,000.

Adu was said to have refused the payment, saying she wanted to turn him to a cash-cow.

The 28-year-old lamented that she had been abandoned to her fate, adding that she could not raise money for the baby items.

Mosunmola was later delivered of a baby boy at the General Hospital, Epe.

A source at the college told PUNCH Metro that a notice was posted at the administrative block of the school, announcing Adu’s suspension.

He said, “The notice stated that he had been suspended and nobody should have any dealings with him. Everybody in the school has been talking about the notice.”

The college spokesperson, Ayodele Alaga, confirmed the development.

He said, “It is true. The suspension is indefinite. We have severed relationship with him. He was an adjunct lecturer. We will await the final outcome of the investigation by the ministry of health.”

Acting president, Yemi Osinbajo, Thursday gave a nine-month grace to all tax evaders to regularize their tax status or face criminal prosecution. Osinbajo gave the ultimatum at the inauguration of the Voluntary Assets and Income Declaration Scheme (VAIDs) in Abuja Thursday June 29th.
According to Osinbajo, the new scheme which is an initiative of the Buhari-led administration, was specially designed to help taxpayers, who had not declared their taxable incomes and assets, as well as those who don’t pay at all, and those who had been underpaying or under remitting, to correct their irregularities. Osinbajo said the scheme would cover all federal and state taxes such as companies’ income tax, personal income tax, petroleum profit tax, capital gains tax, stamp duties and tertiary education tax.
“The scheme will be operated from July 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018. It will be supported by an executive order, which I will sign into law today to offer a once in a life time opportunity to those in default to regularise their tax affairs. In exchange for full and honest declaration, tax evaders will receive immunity from prosecution, forgiveness of penalty and interest that is due on unpaid taxes. They will also get the full assurance that all information provided will remain confidential. In addition, participants in the scheme will not be selected for audit investigation for the period. We understand that some tax payers may have problems raising cash and for that reason, we have built in a system that will allow those owing to pay over a period of time" he said.
The acting president added that the Federal government would immediately commence a nationwide sensitisation of Nigerians on the scheme and tax in general to ensure compliance.
“To this end, we have agreed that every Thursday starting from today, and for the next one year will be declared Tax Thursday. We expect the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and every state government to organize sensitisation events that would raise awareness of the tax system to ensure massive enrollment of new tax payers. We must enroll at least 4 million tax payers and increase the level of payment among the 14 million already registered tax payers. We expect that all state governors will personally lead this initiative and support the work of the 7,500 community tax liaison officers that would be employed shortly" he said.

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria PFN, an arm of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, has kicked against plans by the Federal government to merge Christian Religious Knowledge CRK, Islmaic Religious Knowledge IRK and Social Studies into a new subject to be known as Religion and National values. Recently there was a public outcry following rumors of plans by the Federal government to scrap CRK.
The Ministry of Education however came out to say that the rumor is unfounded as no one is scrapping the subject from its curriculum. The Ministry said that what has happened is that CRK, IRK and Social Studies have been merged into a new subject.

Speaking after its 2nd quarter National Executive Council meeting held in Lagos today, the National President of PFN, Felix Omobude, said denying CRK its age-long position as a single subject standing on its own has foreclosed the opportunity of the subject being studied at the tertiary institutions. Omobude while addressing newsmen said.
"The PFN is concerned at the controversy that has attended the revised Basic Education Curriculum, especially the collapse of Christian Religious Studies as part of an omnibus subject known as Religion and National Values. We noted the explanation by the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) on some of the issues raised.  There is really no justification for the uncertainty the NERDC has created which has opened up the implementation of the curriculum to the whims and caprices. Collapsing CRK as only a part of Religion and National Values forecloses the opportunity of the subject being studied at the tertiary level by students and is unacceptable’’ he said.
The PFN president commended the Federal government for prosecuting the war against Boko Haram. In the same vein, the body asked the Federal government not to relent in its efforts to rescue the remaining Chibok school girls as well as bring a lasting solution to the religious crisis in Southern Kaduna.

“PFN is worried at developments in Southern Kaduna, especially the lack of prompt response to guarantee the security of lives and property there, leading to a loss of lives of many indigenes of that area. A delegation from the PFN recently paid a visitation to Southern Kaduna and made a presentation of N15 million worth of relief materials to the different groups, irrespective of ethnicity or religion. From this visit, we can see that there is much more that urgently needs to be done for the people of Southern Kaduna and urgently too. We call on the Federal government and Kaduna State Government to immediately improve on their rehabilitation efforts,’’ he said.

Amnesty International on Thursday, reported that Four Nigerian women are taking legal action in the Dutch courts against oil giant, Shell, accusing it of complicity in the 1990s executions of their husbands by the Nigerian military.
The civil case has been brought by Esther Kiobel, the widow of Barinem Kiobel, who was hanged in 1995 along with Ken Saro-Wiwa and seven others. Three other widows are also joining the action in The Hague.
According to Amnesty International, a writ was set to be placed before a civil court in The Hague alleging that Shell was complicit “in the unlawful arrest, detention and execution of nine men who were hanged by Nigeria’s military government in the 1990s,”

On November 10, 1995, Saro-Wiwa, president and founder of the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP), and eight fellow activists were executed  after a military tribunal convicted them of the murder of four traditional Ogoni chiefs.

The executions provoked a global outcry and led to the suspension of Nigeria from the Commonwealth but was re-admitted with the return of civil rule in 1999.

Shell was alleged to have helped in the arrest of the men, who had sought to peacefully disrupt oil development in the region because of health and environmental impacts.

Audrey Gaughran, senior director of research at Amnesty says, “Shell has been dodging accountability for its complicity in these deaths for more than 20 years but now, thanks to Esther Kiobel’s determination and bravery in taking on this corporate Goliath, the past is finally catching up with it".

After her husband’s death, Kiobel fled to Benin in 1998 and then moved to the United States where she still lives. She had sought with others to pursue her case through the American courts, but in 2013 the US Supreme Court ruled that the American justice system did not have jurisdiction over the case.

Amnesty is now hoping the court in The Hague will agree to hear the case.

Suspected billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans, has again dragged the Inspector General of Police, and three others before a Federal High Court in Lagos over his alleged illegal detention.

In the new suit filed on Thursday, Evans is claiming N300m as general and exemplary damages against the police for alleged illegal detention and unconstitutional media trial.

Joined as respondents in his new originating motion are the Nigeria Police Force, the Commissioner of Police Lagos State and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos State Police Command.

Evans had on June 28 filed an ex parte application with reference number FHC/L/CS/1012/2017, before the same court, seeking an order directing the respondents to charge him to court.

He had also in the alternative sought an order directing the respondents to release him unconditionally where no charge is preferred against him.

In an affidavit deposed to by his father, Mr Stephen Onwuamadike, it was averred that the applicant has been subjected to media trial without any court order by the respondents.

Onwuamadike further averred that the media trial and news orchestrated by the respondents have continued to generate reactions in both print and electronic media without his son being afforded fair hearing before a court of law.

Evans contended that his continued detention by the respondents since June 10, without a charge, or release on bail, is an infringement on his fundamental rights.

In his new suit also marked FHC/L/CS/1012/ 2017 and with the same persons as respondents, the applicant is seeking a declaration that his continued detention since June 10 without arraignment, violates his fundamental rights as guaranteed under the 1999 Constitution.

He is also seeking a declaration that his parade on June 11 before journalists in Lagos, at the Lagos Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja, without any court order, is unconstitutional and illegal.

He is consequently, seeking an order, compelling the respondents to immediately arraign him before a law court, or release him from custody forthwith.

‘Evans’’ is also seeking an order, compelling the respondents to jointly and severally, pay him the sum of N300m as exemplary damages for illegal detention and alleged harm caused by the alleged media trial.

The suspect is also seeking an order of perpetual injunction, restraining the respondents from further arresting, detaining, harassing, investigating or inviting him in relation to the facts of his case.

He is also seeking further orders as the court may deem fit, to make in the circumstances.

No date has been fixed for hearing in his latest suit.

Taoreed Ashimiyu (24) and Kayode Jolade (34) were two successful pickpocket partners shuttling between Maryland and Mile 12 Markets in buses. Their targets were commuters’ mobile phones and purses. Most times, they work together and share the loot as soon as they felt they have made enough money for the day. They stood at bus stops monitoring commuters with fat and bulging pockets.

They stealthily remove these valuables while commuters rush to board buses. While one did the picking, the other kept the loot till the end of the day’s work.

Unknowingly for the duo, Maryland school pupils who had spotted them in one of the operations had mobilised themselves to lynch them on this fateful day.

As fate would have it, the pupils had all converged at the Maryland bus stop when they spotted them on operation. In their multitude, the pupils launched at Ashimiyu in an attempt to lynch him.

Seeing the surging crowd, Ashimiyu attempted to escape to the other side of the road but ran into an oncoming truck, which knocked him off the road only to be rescued by Rapid Response Squad operatives who were monitoring the unfolding scenery.

His accomplice, Jolade, who equally took to his heels on sensing danger, was similarly arrested by onlookers, who heard they were pickpockets.

Both suspects explained, what happened, their past operations and how they spent their loots among other things.

After his national team Portugal was eliminated from the FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia last night, Cristiano Ronaldo took to his Facebook page to announce he was leaving the tournament early to go be with his new born twin sons born via a surrogate. He wrote;
"I was in the service of the national team, as always, body and soul, even though my two sons were born. Unfortunately, we have not been able to achieve the main sporting objective that we wanted, but I am sure we will continue to give joy to the Portuguese.
The President of the Portuguese Football Federation and the national picker have today had an attitude that has touched me and I will not forget.

I'm very happy to finally be with my children for the first time.
The national team also released a statement saying;
"The President of the FPF and the National Team were informed before the Confederations Cup by the National Team captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, that he had been a father.
"The athlete, despite the birth of his children, made a point of being in the service of the National Team, in a gesture that we must underline and praise.
"The President of the FPF and the National Selector understand that if it is impossible to reach the goal of winning the Confederations Cup, they must release the athlete so that he can finally get to know his children."
