A senior Republican aide has apologised for her comments about President Obama's
children, in which she claimed the girls should "show a little class" after they appeared next to their father in fashionable
clothing and looking slightly bored during an official address the day before Thanksgiving.

Many joked about the First Daughters' awkward stances as they stood next to their father during the pardoning of turkeys 'Mac' and 'Cheese', while many in the room laughed at the girls' swift response of "Nah" when asked if they wanted to pet the birds.

Elizabeth Lauten, spokeswoman for Republican Congressman Stephen Fincher, instead accused Sasha, 13, and Malia, 16, of being disrespectful in a now-deleted Facebook post, and chastised the girls for their choice of clothes on the day.

Her deleted post read: "Dear Sasha and Malia: I get you're both in those awful teen years, but you're part of the First Family, try showing a little class. At least respect the part you play.

"Then again, your mother and father don't respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter. So I'm guessing you're coming up a little short in the 'good role model' department."

She continued to berate the girls' for their appearance, advising them to "rise to the occasion and act like being in the White House matters to you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar," the BBC reported.

Ms Lauten, who has since faced sharp criticism and calls for her to resign, has apologised for her comments.

She wrote in an apology that she had spent "many hours of prayer" thinking about her comments, talking to her parents and re-reading her words online, claiming that "I can see more clearly just how hurtful my
words were".

"I'd like to apologise to all of those who I have hurt and offended with my words, and
I pledge to learn and grow (and I assure you I have) from this experience."

She said she had "judged the two young ladies in a way that I would never have wanted to be judged myself as a teenager".

No fewer than 120 died and 270 were
injured on Friday as the violent Boko Haram
sect bombed the 10,000 capacity Kano
Central Mosque where the Emir, Alhaji
Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, usually leads
prayers.
About 10 gunmen went on a shooting spree
after the blast at the mosque, which is
close to the Emir of Kano's palace.
A rescue official, who spoke with Agence
France-Presse, put casualty figures at
almost 400, adding that 120 were killed and
270 hurt in the three explosions that rocked
the mosque.
The emir was said to have travelled to
Saudi Arabia late on Thursday night from
Paris.
Witnesses said the incident happened just
as residents were getting set for Friday
prayers.
"The attackers have bombed the mosque. I
saw people screaming," a local reporter who
resides in Kano, Chijjani Usman, told
Reuters.
Another eyewitness told the British
Broadcasting Corporation that he had
counted over 50 bodies immediately after
the blasts.
Also, the Editor, BBC Hausa Service, Mansur
Liman, was quoted as saying that people
had witnessed "horrible" scenes in a nearby
hospital.
One eyewitness, who spoke with the BBC's
Focus on Africa, said, "The imam was about
to start prayer when he saw somebody in a
car trying to force himself into the mosque.
But when people stopped him, he detonated
the explosions. People started running
helter-skelter."
Another worshipper, Aminu Abdullahi, who
also spoke to AFP, said, "Two bombs
exploded, one after the other, in the
premises of the Grand Mosque seconds
after the prayers had started."
"A third one went off in a nearby road close
to the Qadiriyya Sufi order. The blasts were
followed by gunshots by the police to scare
off potential attacks."
His account was backed up by another
witness, Hajara Tukur, who said she lives
nearby.
A senior rescue official confirmed that
several bodies had been brought to just one
Kano area hospital, while over 126 people
had been admitted with injuries at three
facilities.
"Those figures are going to climb," he told
AFP on condition of anonymity, as he was
not authorised to speak to the media.
A military official, Capt. Ikechukwu Eze, also
said scores of people were feared killed and
many others injured in the attack.
A check by one of our correspondents at
the mortuaries of both the Murtala
Mohammed Specialist Hospital and the
Nasarawa Hospital in the heart of the city
showed they were filled with bodies of
victims of the blasts while some of them
littered the ground.
Meanwhile, two suspected bomber were
said to have been arrested at the scene of
the incident, just as youths took to the
street to protest what they called
negligence by the police for not doing
enough to protect the lives and property of
the people.
The Kano State Police Command's Public
Relations Officer, Mustapha
Abubakar,confirmed the incident but
declined to give the casualty.
The emir had recently called for people to
arm themselves against Islamist militant
group Boko Haram.
Earlier this month, the emir told a prayer
meeting that people should "acquire what
they need" to protect themselves.
The Boko Haram terrorist group has killed
more than 2,000 people this year, according
to rights groups' reports.
The Kano blasts came after a bomb attack
was also foiled at a mosque in Maiduguri on
Friday morning; five days after two female
suicide bombers killed over 45 people in the
city.
The Emir of Kano last week doubted the
Nigerian troops' ability to protect civilians
and end the insurgency.
This had prompted his advice to Kano
residents to arm themselves against Boko
Haram attacks.
The Emir of Kano is an influential figure in
Nigeria, which is home to more than 80
million Muslims, most of who live in the
North.
Boko Haram has repeatedly attacked Kano
before. On November 14, a suicide bomb
attack at a filling station killed six people,
including three policemen.

Officials of the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC) on Friday
discovered that the permanent voter's cards
of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde
Fashola and his wife, Mrs. Abimbola
Fashola, could not be found in the voter's
register in the state.
Likewise, no fewer than 500 hundred eligible
voters, who registered at Surulere Ward G3,
Fashola's polling unit located at State
Junior Secondary School suffered the same
fate as the INEC continued the distribution
of PVCs.
A notice was pasted at the polling unit to
notify voters who had registered in the two
wards on Itolo Street that they had no
voters' card. The commission asked them to
register afresh at a later date.
The notice read in part: "We regret to
inform you that those who registered in this
polling unit do not have permanent voters'
cards. Please come back between 3rd and
8th December 2014 for fresh registration".
But the Lagos State Resident Electoral
Commissioner, Dr. Adekunle Ogunmola
attributed the development to loss of data,
which he said, arose from the crash of the
commission's computing system.
According to the resident commissioner,
some of the data captured during the
registration in 2010 crashed. This was the
reason they lost about 1.4 million data for
voters, he said, adding: "We are embarking
on fresh registration for them and others
who were unable to register in the 2010
registration."
Apparently disappointed by the
development, the governor, who had been
sceptical of INEC's preparedness for the
2015 elections, arrived his polling unit at
about 2:05pm to see the notice pasted on
the gate.
He described the situation as "collusion or
inefficiency" on the path of INEC ahead of
the polls, pointing out that with the
development, the commission "has decided
to thread the path of destruction.
"It is a shameful path. This is my polling
unit. This is where I voted year after year.
This is where I was registered. When INEC
said they were ready to do distribution of
voter's cards, they said it was 7th to 9th of
November, later they said they were not
going to do all and that the balance will
happen between 28th and 30th.
"So, Surulere was in the balance that was
supposed to happen. So we are here today
being November 28 and this is the notice
they surreptitiously came to put here at
night. We cannot collect our PVC".
However, the governor urged those who
faced similar fate to keep their temporary
voters card as it was proof that they were
captured in the INEC database.
"We would wait for INEC because they
registered 6.4million of us in 2010, so
whatever has happened, at least we have
those cards, they can't run away from us.
Whether they like it or not, we would have
elections and we would vote in spite of
what Jega and his team may be planning."
Asked whether he would participate in the
fresh voters registration, the governor
wondered what the essence of the first
registration was since the commission could
not produce their PVCs.
"This is an attempt to decimate our voting
population in Lagos, it is clear now, so
everyone who has the temporary voter's
card must hold it. Those who do not have
who only turned 18, we would provide a
means for them to participate in this
election".
He said he would observe how the
Commission managed the situation before
addressing residents further. Some
residents who had gathered at the ward
hoping to get their PVC were left to rue the
situation as some wondered if INEC with
the continuous hiccups is ready for the
polls.

Afrobeat king, Femi Kuti says he recently found out that two out of the 5 children he always thought were his, weren't. In an
interview with Encomium mag, Femi said a DNA test conducted on a boy and a girl named Tosin and Dupe who were born after
his first son, Made, showed he's not their biological father.

"I did a DNA test and was told two of the children are not mine. The first two (after Made), a boy and a girl. It is very serious. I never knew somebody could give you what is not yours. I've
three boys now. I can't father children I was tricked to believe I am their father," he said:

Femi says he has since returned the children to their mothers.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly condemned the Inspector-General of Police Suleiman Abba for daring to say
he does not recognize Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal as the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and for weaving a web of lies to cover up the real reasons the police
invaded the National Assembly on 20 November.

In a statement issued in Osogbo on Thursday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said by
refusing to recognize a Speaker who was duly elected by 360 members of the House
of Representatives, and a Speaker who has neither been impeached by those who elected him nor removed by the Court, the police boss has thumbed his nose at the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

"As the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Tambuwal is the symbol of authority of the House and our
country's number four citizen.

By saying he
does not recognize him as the Speaker, the IG has also indicated he does not recognize
the entire House of Representatives. For a
man who was not elected by anybody to make this impertinent assertion about
elected representatives of the people is tantamount to treason.

"Mr. Abba has shunned all pretenses to neutrality, professionalism and decency and he is no longer fit to occupy the important office of the IG," it said.

APC wondered at what stage the IG realized the issue involving the Speaker was sub judice, especially after he constituted
himself into a court of law, which is the only body that is constitutionally empowered to make any pronouncement on
the fate of the Speaker, and unilaterally withdrew the Speaker's security detail.

The party said Nigerians are very much aware that Mr. Abba, by himself, could not have acted the way and manner he has
done, adding: "But the truth is that he is dancing to a drum of perfidy being beaten by his masters at the Aso Rock Villa. In the process, he has acted in contravention of his oath of office".

It said even though Nigerians are aware that the IG acted at the behest of his masters in trying to unlawfully remove a
duly-elected Speaker of the House of Representatives, he still went ahead to engage in cheap lies by saying he barred
the Speaker and other members of the House from entering the National Assembly because Gov. Amaechi and the APC were
planning to invade the Assembly as well as the Aso Rock and the Police Headquarters.

"Shortly after the incident, Police
spokesman Emmanuel Ojukwu said the police acted the way it did because it got intelligence report that "hoodlums and thugs" were coming to invade the House.

Now, the police boss said it was because Gov. Amaechi and the APC were coming to invade the House. This is a most shameful
lie from the highest police officer in the land, and it is a terrible dent on the image of the police under Mr. Abba."One wonders
why the police was so concerned about the security of the National Assembly that it
engaged in selective granting of passage to the principal officers of the Assembly. The Senate President was allowed to enter
without qualms, just like the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. But when
the Speaker came, he was locked out. That speaks volumes about the intention of the police," APC said.

The party commended the individuals and groups that have strongly condemned the police action, but reminded them that there is still much work to be done to prevent the President, acting with a spineless, highly-
partisan and increasingly unprofessional police and other security agencies, from crashing the country's hard-earned
democracy on the altar of inordinate political ambition.

It wondered how a man who can lie so shamefacedly to cover up an egregious act will preside over the provision of security for the 2015 elections."Mr. Abba is
presiding over perhaps the most-partisan police force ever in the history of our nation. He has thrown professionalism,
neutrality and fairness to the wind and made the police a willing tool in the hands of a frenzied executive. He cannot be
trusted to ensure a level playing field for all parties at the next general elections, hence he should be removed immediately," APC said.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, has elected Nigeria's Minister
of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, as its first female president.

Alison-Madueke, who would now succeed former President of OPEC, Libyan Vice-Prime Minister for Corporations, Abdourhman Atahar Al-Ahirish,
was voted in as President of OPEC Thursday at the ongoing 166th General Meeting of the body in Vienna, Austria.

Before her election this morning, she was the alternate president of OPEC. She is expected to
immediately begin serving her one-year term as the official in charge of OPEC affairs.

At its 166th meeting, OPEC is expected to take key decisions that could halt the dwindling price of crude oil.

In his opening remarks before the closed-door meeting, the outgoing president disclosed that ample supply, moderate demand, a stronger US dollar and uncertainties about global economic growth have been key factors in the recent price
trend.

Controversial media personality, Egor Efiok, narrowly escaped death after being involved in
a ghastly accident last week. Reports say, the accident occurred in Lagos after her driver swerved off the road to avoid colliding with an oncoming van. The movie producer and celebrity publicist has since been rushed to a hospital and is presently responding to treatment.

Confirming the incident via a message sent to DailyPost, Egor wrote "I am a child of God, NOBODY can harm me! Once your heart is clean and you have no evil intentions towards anyone, the devil will always FAIL! Shey you can still see
me sending a message nah! Mbok! Loll"!!!

Australia Test batsman Phillip Hughes has died aged 25, two days after being struck on the top of the neck by a ball during a domestic match in Sydney.

Australia team doctor Peter Brukner said he passed away in hospital, never regaining consciousness.

Hughes, who also played for Hampshire, Middlesex and Worcestershire, was hit by a
delivery from bowler Sean Abbott.

"It's an understatement to say we're completely devastated," said Cricket Australia boss James Sutherland.

"The word tragedy gets used too often in sport, but this freak accident is a real life tragedy."

Australia captain Michael Clarke read out a statement on behalf of the Hughes family at a news conference held at St Vincent's Hospital, where the player, who would have been 26 on Sunday, was being treated.

Speaking on behalf of parents Greg and Virginia, sister Megan and brother Jason, he said:

"We're devastated by the loss of our much-loved son and brother, Phillip. It's been a very difficult few days.

"We appreciate all the support we have received from family, friends, players, Cricket Australia
and the general public.

"Cricket was Phillip's life and we as a family shared that love of the game with him. We would like to thank all the medical and nursing staff at St Vincent's Hospital and Cricket New South Wales medical staff for their great efforts with Phillip. We love you."

A clearly emotional Clarke then stood up and left the room.

Hughes, batting for South Australia, collapsed
face first on the ground after being hit by a bouncer from 22-year-old Abbott during a Sheffield Shield game against New South Wales.

Hughes had been wearing a helmet but the ball struck him at the top of the neck, causing the
injury.

He had CPR and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation at the ground before being taken to St Vincent's Hospital, where he had a 90-minute operation to relieve pressure on his brain.

Members of the Australian national team, including Clarke, visited Hughes in hospital.

But his death was confirmed in a statement on Thursday.

"It is my sad duty to inform you that a short time ago Phillip Hughes passed away," said Brukner.

"He never regained consciousness following his
injury on Tuesday.

"He was not in pain before he passed and was surrounded by his family and close friends.

"As a cricket community, we mourn his loss and extend our deepest sympathies to Phillip's family and friends at this incredibly sad time.

"Cricket Australia kindly asks that the privacy of the Hughes family, players and staff be respected."

Speaking at the news conference, Brukner explained that Hughes had died as a result of "vertebral artery dissection".

The Lagos state Police command has rescued the current Miss Nigeria International 2014 & daughter of an aide to Kwara state Governor, Miss Sa'adat Bibire, who was abducted two weeks ago by a
gang of kidnappers who deceived her to come to Warri, Delta state from Lagos after they promised to make her the ambassador of the Aliko Dangote brand.

The gang, made up of students of the Delta state Polytechnic Ozoro, had opened a Facebook account disguising as Aliko Dangote and contacted Sa'adat. They invited her to Warri with the promise to make her Dangote brand ambassador. On
getting to Warri, Sa'adat was kidnapped and taken to a place on the outskirts of Ozoro town in Isoko Local Government Area in
Delta state. The kidnappers then contacted her family and asked for N20m ransom, which was supposed to be paid into a Malaysian account.

Parading one of the suspects before newsmen, the Lagos state Police commissioner said a manhunt for the kidnappers was immediately launched after
they contacted the girls family but only one of them was arrested while the others are
currently on the run.

When interrogated, one of her abductors, 23 year old Patrick Ifada (pictured above), said
he was lured into the kidnap gang because of the money offered.

"I accepted to join the gang because of the money involved. We opened a fake Facebook account pretending to be Alhaji Aliko Dangote and we convinced her to come over to Delta State to meet the businessman. At
first, our ransom was N20 million.

When they were not forthcoming with the money, we brought it down to N15 million and then N10 million. I was the one staying with the victim in our
hideout. We were using the quarters of one of our members, Destiny. We are
five in number and I was promised a huge sum. Other gang members are Destiny, Marcus Omajuwa, Ugada and
Chuka. We are all students of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, ND 1. I was studying Computer Science. She was in our hideout for about two weeks. We asked the Special Adviser to pay the
ransom into a Malaysian account that one Fred helped us to set up. None of us raped her. Destiny told us we were only going to make money from her
family, and not to assault her" he told Vanguard.

The wife of one of the kidnappers was arrested alongside Patrick.

Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye of a Lagos State High Court has ordered the remand of a 77-
year-old woman, Alhaja Mulikat Shonekan, in the custody of the Economic and Financial
Crimes Commission.

Shonekan, who is a community leader in Lagos, is to remain in the custody of the anti-graft commission till she would meet
the court's bail conditions of N5m and two sureties in like sum.

The sureties, the court said, must show evidence of tax remittance to the coffers of
the Lagos State Government in the last three years.

The septuagenarian, who was barely able to walk and took several minutes to climb the
staircase, was brought before the court on the allegation of conspiracy, advanced fee
fraud and issuance of dud cheques.

Charged alongside Shonekan on five counts bordering on the alleged crime were her
company ─ Mujekanm Petroleum Nigeria Limited ─ and one Martins Ogiogwa.

It was alleged that the three accused persons conspired to obtain N65m from the director of Kuta Stones Limited, Danladi
Verheijen, under the pretext that the said sum was the cost of 90 acres of land at Kemta Ososun village, Ogun State.

The offence, according to the EFCC, was committed sometime in September, 2008, contrary to sections 8(a) and 1(3) of the
Advanced Fee Fraud and other related Offences Act No. 14 of 2006.

The EFCC said the offence also
contravened Section 390 of the Criminal Code, Cap C17, Vol 2, Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003.

The commission further alleged that Shonekan and her company issued dud cheques twice in the sum of N5m to the complainant on July 15 and 21, 2011.

This was said to have contravened Section 1(1) of Dishonoured Cheque (Offences) Act, Cap D11, Law of the Federation of Nigeria,
2004.

However, when arraigned before Ipaye on Wednesday, the three accused persons pleaded not guilty to all the counts.

Consequent upon this, the EFCC counsel, A.B.C. Ozioko, pleaded with the court to remand them in custody.

However, counsel for the accused, Bamidele Ogundele and Austin Akpomreta, said they
had filed bail applications and urged the court to admit the accused persons to bail in liberal terms.

Ogundele urged the court to consider Shonekan's old age, adding that she had been suffering from ill-health and had been on hospital admission in the custody of the EFCC.

Akpomreta, in his submission, argued that Ogiogwa's offence was not a capital offence, adding that his client was a first
time offender and had willingly surrendered himself to the EFCC.
But the EFCC opposed the applications, saying the likelihood that they would
abscond was high.

Ipaye, however, said she had found from the fact before the court that Shonekan was
unlikely to abscond and granted her bail in the sum of N5m.

"I have noted that the offences were not capital offences. I have noted the age and the health status of the first defendant. I
am persuaded by the totality of the evidence placed before this court that the first defendant is unlikely to abscond if admitted to bail, being a community leader," Ipaye held.

To Ogiogwa, the court gave a bail of N10m with two sureties, who are to be blood relations.

The sureties are also to show evidence that they had paid their taxes to the Lagos State
Government in the last three years.

Ogiogwa, who was to be remanded in prison custody, was further ordered to deposit his
traveling documents in the custody of the court.

The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday approved the purchase of N9.2billion worth of
clean cook stoves and wonder bags for rural women under the National Clean Cooking Scheme.

Wonder bag is a non-electric slow cooker invented by Sarah Collins, a south African eco-
entreprenuer, who came up with the idea six years ago during a power cut, when she decided
to keep her dinner cooking by surrounding the pan with cushions.

The council also awarded a contract of N60.9billion to an indigenous firm, KaKatar CE
Limited, for the provision of engineering infrastructure for Kyami District, Zone C, Abuja.
Supervising Minister of Information, Dr. Nurudeen Muhammed; Minister of Environment, Mrs. Lawrecia Mallam; and Minister of the
Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Muhammed, briefed State House correspondents at the end of the meeting presided over by Vice President Namadi Sambo.

Muhammed said the N9.2billion inclusive of Value Added Tax was approved for the procurement of 750,000 units of clean cook stove and 18,000 wonder bags.

He said the stoves are expected to be delivered by Messrs Integra Renewable Energy Services Limited within a period of 12 weeks.

He noted that the stoves which will be assembled locally, will provide jobs to Nigerians among other benefits.

The minister said, "The National Clean Cooking Scheme is an aggressive drive to engender
clean cooking culture amongst the poor rural women, to reduce and possibly eliminate cooking with solid fossil which is detrimental to health.

"The scheme is expected to provide 20 million clean stoves over a five-year period at the rate
of four million stoves yearly which will be distributed without charge.

"It will also reduce incessant felling of trees which exposes the country to ecological problems.

A lawyer operating at Igbosere Magistrates' court, Lagos Island, western Nigeria, has been arrested and arraigned before a Lagos magistrates'court for allegedly slapping her colleague within the court premises.

Barrister Nina Lawani, 59, was arrested by the police at the Lion Building Division, Lagos Island and after she allegedly slapped
her colleague, Barrister Helen Ibeji.

After investigation of the alleged incident by Inspector Caroline Okoror and her team, Nina was charged before a Tinubu Magistrates' court, Lagos on a one count charge of felony to wit, unlawful assault.

The police prosecutor, Sgt. Daniel Ighodalo told the court in charge No L/196/2014 that
the accused committed the offence on 18 November, 2014 at Igbosere Magistrates'court, Lagos during a struggle for a client.

He said the complainant reported to the police that her colleague slapped her on the right side of her face in public at the Igbosere Magistrates' court premises when she tried to prevent her from snatching her
client.

Ighodalo said the offence committed by the accused is punishable under section 170 of
the criminal laws of Lagos State.2014.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the crime in the open court and Magistrate Mrs O.M.

Ajayi admitted her on bail on self recognition and adjourned the case till 18 December, 2014 for mention.

The Inspector general of police, Sulaiman Abba, appeared before the House of Representatives Police Committee today after several days of ignoring their
invitation. The meeting chaired by Usman Bello Kumo quickly denigrated into bad blood between committee members and the IGP.

The IG had opened his statement explaining why the police incaded the house last week by rehashing the initial police statement that they
had credible intelligence that some thugs had planned on causing mayhem at the resumed
sitting of the house.

He said this intelligence led them to send policemen to the house to confront that thugs.

He proceeded to say that one Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal led a group of thugs to overpower
the security at the first gate. A move he claimed led the police to lock down the second gate and fire a canister of teargas.

However, his reference to the "Speaker of the House as "one Alhaji Tambuwal" drew the ire of
committee members who asked the IGP to properly address the speaker of the house according to protocol.

The house committee members asked the IGP to revisit the way he addressed the speaker, the
IG then said the case of the speaker was in court and as such he wouldn't like to comment further on it.

The committee member refused to proceed with the hearing until the IGP properly addressed the
speaker. They said as long as he refuses to do so, they too would no longer recognize him as IG.

Tennis star Andy Murray has proposed to Kim Sears, his partner of more than nine years.

The Wimbledon champion's representatives have confirmed the engagement, but have not
released details or where the proposal took place.

Sussex-born Miss Sears, who has an English Literature degree, has been in a relationship with
Murray after the pair met at the U.S. Open in 2005. Her father is player-turned-coach Nigel
Sears.

The 27-year-old has admitted he couldn't have come back to win Wimbledon in 2013 following
his 2012 defeat if it hadn't been for her unwavering support.

ISIS have pledged to send militants to fight police in Ferguson, Missouri as long as
they accept to join Islam.. Following protests against the Micheal Brown ruling, many
took to the streets to protest the non-indictment of the police officer who killed the teen.

Islamic extremists have now used the opportunity to pass chilling messages .Using
the slogan 'From #IS 2 Ferguson', jihadi Junaid Hussain, 20 this morning tweeted a photograph of a hand-written letter urging the Ferguson rioters which reads..

Accept Islam & give bayah [allegiance] to Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi & then we will send u soldiers that don't sleep! - #IS
#Ferguson'

'We hear you and we will help you if you accept Islam and reject corrupt man-made laws like democracy and pledge your allegiance to Caliph Abu Bakr and then we will shed our blood
for you and send our soldiers that don't sleep, whose drink is blood, and their play is carnage.'

A Brazil Non-Governmental Organization,
headed by a certain Leonardo Rochas Dos-
Santos, has been discovered to be running a
huge scam in the name of helping child
witches in Akwa Ibom State, the South-
South region of Nigeria. A former Local
Government Council Member of Esit Eket,
Honourable Ette Udoh, told our
reporter during an interview in Uquo, the
Headquarters of Esit Eket Local Government
Area (LGA).

The Esit Eket erstwhile council member
revealed that Leo Dos-Santos, who has a
tourist visa and falsely claimed to be a
pastor, was laid off as a Help Desk/Support
Technician for a company in London; and
travels to Nigeria every quarter of the year
to shoot videos and documentaries of
children of Akwa Ibom origin purported to
be witch stigmatized, premieres and sells
them in different countries in the Europe
and makes millions of pounds. A visit to
his website,
www.waytothenations.org reveals several
videos and documentaries of children
speaking different Akwa Ibom languages.
.
He said the quest for greener pasture, or
otherwise of the dearth of profitable jobs in
their home country has inundated Nigeria,
particularly Akwa Ibom State with bogus
missionary and social workers who
capitalized on the common social problem
in the state, such as abandoned or witch
children to hump up millions of pounds
every year without solving the said
problem.
Also speaking, a community leader and
titled Chief in Ikpa Town, Esit Eket L.G.A
Obong Bassey Akpentun disclosed that, in
2012, Mr. Leo Dos Santos approached the
Proprietor of James 1:27 Orphanage Home,
Bishop Evans Udo Ekaisong in Ikpa, Esit
Eket, for partnership. After the partnership
deal was struck, Mr. Dos Santos, who
claimed he was only there to support the
children, suddenly went and published on his
website that he had acquired the children
home and was now the owner of the
orphanage. When the Bishop got wind of
this and questioned Dos Santos on the
rationale behind such development, he lied
through his teeth that he was doing so in
order to garner more international support
for the Bishop and the orphanage.

Chief Akpentun explained that unknown to
the Bishop, the self-acclaimed Brazilian
pastor had written to all the international
donors and supporters of James1:27
Orphanage to channel all the resources and
support to him and provided forged
documents to back up his claims. Chief
Akpentun called on the government to
investigate what he described as "fraudulent
and sharp practice" by some foreign based
NGO and charity workers, whose major
intent is to exploit the child witch issue in
Nigeria to feather their nests, including the
Brazilian child witch scammer, Leo Santos.

When support for the Orphanage began to
dwindle drastically, Mr. Dos Santos
broached the Bishop, this time round, to sell
the orphanage to him; but Bishop Udo-
Ekaisong rejected his offer. Mr. Dos Santos
therefore went on a maligning rampage,
blackmailing the Bishop and his orphanage
to these foreign supporters to ensure that
the Bishop and the orphanage do not get
support any longer. Some of the documents
obtained to that effect cannot be published
due to the profane, derogatory and obscene
language contained therein, but can be
made available strictly on demand.

Nonetheless, Mr. Dos Santos trickily does
this by sending secret and private messages
to these supporters and donors; knowing
that since he is white-skinned or from the
western nation, they will believe and honour
his coded information. Investigation,
however, confirmed that, one of such donor
of the James 1:27 Orphanage contacted by
Leo Dos Santos was an American
missionary and philanthropist, Rev (Mrs.)
Judy Grim.
The hashtags here are that, the children of
James 1:27 Orphanage are now deprived of
#support and #food. These are the same
children Leo Santos claimed he came all
the way from Brazil to support and groom.

When we visited the James 1:27 Orphanage
in Ikpa Town, Esit Eket, normal business
was, no doubt, going on as children were
receiving learning from their various classes
from the volunteers; but the Bishop was
said to have traveled out of the State. A
senior community member and volunteer of
the orphanage, Ms. Maria Okpo, said she
was not competent enough to speak on
behalf the orphanage with regards to the
face-off and or otherwise of the duplicity by
Mr. Dos-Santos. She however, caveated
that the Bishop might not be open to
speaking to the media on the matter as it
was still sub-judice.

In the interim, our reporters discovered that
the Brazilian, Mr. Leonardo Dos Santos,
having successfully duped Bishop Evans
Udo-Ekaisong and the witch stigmatized
children in this orphanage, went ahead and
rented a small apartment in Ikot Ibiok, Eket,
Akwa Ibom State where he gathered
children from various questionable sources
and kept as a similar orphanage and uses
them to advertise and makes millions of
pounds to line his pocket.

Checks with the Brazilian Taxpayers
Registry of the Ministry of Federal Finance
("CNPJ/MF") show that Way to the Nations
has never filed any tax returns as required
by law; neither has it made public its annual
financial report as a charity organization
which it claims. Effort to speak to Mr. Dos
Santos did not yield any results as he was
said to have returned back to Brazil, where
he will then travel to London to premiere his
new child witch documentary, neither was
his UK phone responded to our calls and
SMS.

When we revisited the purported Way To
The Nations Children Centre runs by
Leonardo Rochas Dos Santos two weeks
later to speak to the Nigerian coordinator,
Mrs. Diana-Abasi Udua-Akanimo, we met
fierce-looking local security man who hinted
that Mrs. Udua-Akanimo was under labour
and was admitted in an Intensive Care Units
(ICU) in an undisclosed hospital in Eket. We,
however, saw some white men who spoke
Portuguese language and barely understand
English as they merely gestured their hands
on us as compliments.

The official match ball of the continent's flagship football tournament has a distinct gold and blue colouring and its features are similar to the 2014
World Cup and CL balls.

The official match ball for the Africa Cup of Nations 2015 in Equatorial Guinea is Marhaba, a
joint statement from Caf and adidas announced.

The ball will be officially revealed on Wednesday,
December 3, 2014 during the draw of the final tournament at the Sipopo Convention Centre in
Malabo, the statement added.
It has a distinct gold and blue colouring, representing "the contrasting landscapes of the
continent, from the Sahara desert to the bright azure sky of the Indian and Atlantic Ocean."

The statement added: "Like its counterparts in regional and international tournaments, Marhaba has gone through a thorough testing process to
make sure that it is suited to the playing conditions during the tournament.

"The technology incorporated into the bladder and carcass of the ball is identical to the Brazuca (2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil) and the ever popular UEFA Champions League Official Match Ball.

If you all recall, some years back, precisely in 2006, the 'Area C' police command in Ojuelegba area of Surulere was burnt down as soldiers and police officers clashed in very ugly fashion.

On my way somewhere yesterday, i saw heavy police presence around the area, and i was wondering why. Little did i know that a handing over ceremony was going on as the Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola was handing over the newly built police command to the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Kayode Aderanti.

Namibia will vote in Africa's first electronic ballot Friday, a general election that will usher in a new president and quotas to put more women in government.
But opposition parties have launched an 11th-hour challenge to the use of the Indian-made e-voting machines, claiming
the lack of a paper trail could open the door to vote rigging.

They are calling for the elections to be delayed until February. A court is expected to rule on the issue Wednesday, but commentators say the vote is almost certain to go ahead.

If and when it does, Namibians will chose 72 members of the national assembly and one of nine presidential candidates, ranging from the left-wing Economic Freedom Fighters to the white minority Republican
Party.

Around 1.2 million Namibians are eligible to cast their ballots at nearly 4,000 electronic voting stations across this vast desert
nation.

For Nigerians planning to travel to the United States, the visa application process has changed, an official said on Tuesday.

Stacie R. Hankins, the Consular Chief at the American Embassy in Nigeria who addressed journalists simultaneously at a
briefing in Abuja and Lagos said a new passport collection centre has opened in Port Harcourt.

"The US Mission is pleased to announce that as of 8 November, our document collection and distribution partners with DHL expanded to include a new location in Port
Harcourt," Hankins said.

As it is the case with DHL locations in Lagos and Abuja, visa applicants with approved applications can now collect their passports with their visas from the DHL collection centre in Port Harcourt.

"Applicants will have the option of selecting any one of the three sites as their pickup location when they complete their online
application," Hankins said.

Similarly, she said, applicants who qualify for the drop box renewal programme can submit their passports and applications to the Port Harcourt DHL collection centre.

However, processing time for the collection centre in Port Harcourt will take an additional day.

Passports are generally available for pick up from the Abuja collection centre in two
days. In Port Harcourt, it will take three days, she said.

Non-immigrant visa applicants were also reminded that when making an interview appointment, they must include the correct confirmation number from their DS-160 online application form as part of the
required information.

"Beginning December 1, those applicants who fail to comply with these instructions will not be allowed to interviews. We believe this change will make application processing faster and more efficient," said Hankins who has been serving as the
Consular Chief in Abuja since August this year.

She said the embassy approved majority of visa applications made by Nigerians in the last two years.

Hankins also stated that 65 per cent of non-immigrant visa applications received last
year were approved.

"Between October 1, 2012, and September 30, 2013, the embassy in Abuja and Consulate in Lagos received more than
182,000 non-immigrant visa apolications, the majority of which were approved.

Between October 1, 2013, and September 30, 2014, we received more than 220,000 applications. Again, the majority of those applications were approved," she said.

An official at the US Consulate in Lagos disclosed at the briefing that last year 15500 immigrant applications were received and 14900 were approved.

Hankins dismissed long held insinuations that the American Government uses a quota system to grant or deny visas to Nigerians, saying simply that there is nothing like quota.

She said visas are granted or denied based on Section 214B Immigration and Nationality Act.
For non-immigrant visas, she said, applicants must prove that they have enough funding to support themselves in the United States and would voluntarily return at the end of their stay.

In the event of a visa refusal, it is advised an applicant re-applies 90 days after except there have been substantial changes in their circumstances, she said.

"We hope that Nigerians'desire to visit our beautiful country will continue to grow, and we look forward to working its our partners to allow qualified tourists and business travellers to do so," Hankins said.

As plot to impeach President Goodluck Jonathan thickens, members of the House of
Representatives have listed no fewer than 50 impeachable offences against him.

The lawmakers are on the same line with their Senate counterparts, who are calling for the removal of President Jonathan.

Findings by Vanguard revealed that the lawmakers would commence impeachment
process against the President immediately it reconvenes next Wednesday.

It was gathered that the lawmakers coordinating the impeachment process have identified over 50 constitutional violations by the President, which would form part of the impeachment notice.

Sources within the House squealed that both chambers have resolved to work together for the common good of the country by removing President Jonathan for "incompetence, corruption and unprecedented impunity."

According to a source, the impeachment plot against Jonathan was not a partisan affair, stressing that lawmakers from all the political parties have identified with the "cause" and will not give up until the President is "sent packing."

"I'm sure you read the reports today that senators are going to move against Jonathan.

Now you can confirm that the impeachment thing is not about APC. It is a non-partisan cause.

We have all resolved that the man (President Jonathan) must go.

"Never in the history of Nigeria has a leader displayed such crass incompetence as we have
seen in President Jonathan. It is glaring and you can feel it. Mr. President, with due respect, has
shown that he is not capable of running this country. That is the basic truth", he stated.

The lawmaker noted that over 50 impeachable offences have been identified against the president and members of the House would work hand in hand with the Senate to ensure that the
president was ousted in no distant time.
