Dasuki Gate: Former President Jonathan Finally Speaks

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Nigeria’s immediate ex-president, has finally made some remarks regarding the $2.1 billion arms saga that has threatened to rock the nation to its foundation. Jonathan said he would not interfere with ongoing prosecutions.

The former president made this remark in a series of tweets, in reaction to certain claims that he has been too quiet even as many of “his men” are being prosecuted.

Jonathan also assured in his series of tweets that he will not be mute on such a huge issue which threatens the peace and economic stability of the nation.
The former president further informed that though the issue on ground is very pertinent and must be attended to with urgency, still his post presidential focus remains to advance the course of democracy and foster the growth of good governance in Africa.
Jonathan who currently hold the title of African Sun Times international person of the year, at the moment is in Geneva, Switzerland, where he is holding a press conference.
It will be recalled that the former head-of-state, had earlier dissociated himself from malicious reports which suggests that he had a hand in the ongoing arms procurement scandal levelled against his administration.
