Manchester United Draw Celta Vigo In Europa League As Ajax Face Lyon

Manchester United will play Celta Vigo in the Europa League semi-finals.

Marcus Rashford's extra-time goal saw United past Anderlecht in the last eight on Thursday, and La Liga's 10th-placed Celta now stand between Jose Mourinho's side and the Stockholm final on May 24.

United will go to Spain for the first leg on May 4, with the return at Old Trafford a week later, while Ajax have been drawn against Lyon in the other semi-final.

The Europa League trophy is the one major absence on United's record, and victory would also guarantee a place in next season's Champions League regardless of their finishing position in the Premier League.

The two legs will be their first meetings with Celta, whose squad includes former Liverpool striker Iago Aspas and ex-United Giuseppe Rossi, who is out injured.

Ajax, the 1992 champions, are the one remaining team to have won the tournament.
