The governor, while addressing people of the state to mark his 2,500 days in office, said the soldiers are occupying a large parcel of land on Lagos Island "on the pretext that the land belongs to the federal government".
Fashola, who lamented that some ministers often forget that they are representing their state by the way they act, cited Senator Obanikoro's last weekend deployment of soldiers to Ilubirin, as an example of such instances.
"We see them joining the federal government to wage war against their state. It is unfortunate to see this happen because legislators never do that.
They do not join the federal government to wage war against their states, but ministers do," Fashola said.
Fashola lamented that Lagos State does not have two ministers like other states, adding that Senator Obanikoro was appointed a minister "just because the federal government realised that 2015 is around the corner".
