Veteran Yoruba Actor, Broadcaster And Playwright Adebayo Faleti Is Dead

Renowned Yoruba translator, broadcaster, TV exponent, pioneer of WNTV, first television station in Africa, Adebayo Faleti is dead.




The veteran thespian who has produced many Yoruba folklore full length plays is said to have died today.




The playwright who was a contemporary of Duro Ladipo, Herbert Ogunde, featured in several landmark Yoruba plays and was a great lover of Yoruba culture.


He was 83 years old.
