Wife Catches Pastor Husband In Bed With Church Member

A 35 year-old pastor, Segun Fasina, has pleaded with an Orile-Agege Customary Court in Lagos to dissolve his four-year old marriage with his wife, Abosede.

Fasina claimed that his wife was wayward and that he was tired of her promiscuity.
Fasina, who resides at No 4. Moses Street, Alagba, Orile-Agege, told the court that his wife had lost her sense of dignity and was now consuming alcohol.

The pastor also complained that his wife was a gossip and that she was very troublesome.
He said, "My wife possesses all the bad habits one can think of. She was accused of stealing a telephone set in our house recently and I believe she actually stole it because of her behaviour.

"She goes to other co-tenants' apartment to gossip and whenever there is a fight in the house, my wife's name is always mentioned.
"As a pastor, I have prayed for her deliverance from evil acts but all my efforts have been in vain. Since the marriage is childless, we owe ourselves nothing. So I want the court to dissolve the union."

Abosede, 30, denied all the allegations made by her husband and told the court that the pastor was adulterous and she once caught him having sex with a church member on their matrimonial bed.

She said, "My husband counsels people at home because he is a pastor. But when I got to know that they were all women, I got suspicious.

"I dashed home to confirm what I had learnt that day. He was inside the room counselling a woman when I dashed in. To my surprise, my husband and the woman were both naked in our bed.
"My husband beat me and threw me out of the house. When I reported the case to his father, the man said I should not disturb his son.

"I am not a drunk. My husband saw me with alcohol that was meant to cleanse my stomach, so that I could get pregnant," she said.

She however told the court that despite his adulterous lifestyle, she was still in love with him.

The court president, Mr. Joseph Adewusi, told the couple to maintain the peace before he adjourned the case till May 10, 2013 for judgement.
