Police Finally Nabs Robbers Of MMIA

Men of the Lagos State Police Command have finally arrested some dare-devil armed robbers who robbed and carted away large sums of money at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, last month.

Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, who paraded the suspects, said the robbers were not based in Lagos, as they were apprehended in Oyo and Osun State.

Items recovered from the suspects include: five AK47 rifles, four dynamites, 64 AK47 Magazines fully loaded with 30 rounds, one Toyota Siena Space Wagon bus with registration number BDG 918 AG, two locally made pistols, two masks and several charms.

The suspects confessed to the robbery at the MMIA and several other robberies in Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Kwara states.
Manko said investigation was still ongoing with a view to arresting fleeing suspects soonest.
