Kidnapped Ejigbo LG Chairman Released

The kidnapped Chairman of the Ejigbo Local Council Development Authority, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan, who was kidnapped on the 15th of April has been released today.

Bamigbetan's release was confirmed by the council's Head of Information Unit, Rabiu Hassan.
The former Chief Press Secretary to ex-Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu was forcefully seized near his house in Ejigbo around 11pm on April 15.

The kidnappers had earlier made a demand of $1million (N156 million) ransom.
However, it could not be confirmed if any ransom was paid for his freedom.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command is yet to confirm whether or not a raid was carried out on the hideout of the abductors to secure the chairman's release.
