Governor Vs Minister

It was an unpalatable sight to behold on Tuesday as the Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomole and the Minister of Justice/Attorney-General of the Federation, Muhammed Adoke engaged each other in a heated argument.
The reason for the argument is not unconnected to the brutal murder of Governor Oshiomole's Principal Private Secretary, Olaitan Oyerinde last year.
Trouble started when Muhammed Adoke approached Gov. Oshiomole and wondered why the Governor was being misled by his State Attorney-General when he knew Oyerinde's murder case was a state matter.
Angered by Adoke's Submission, Oshiomole asked whether Edo State own the Nigeria Police Force. The atmosphere became heated as the two men exchanged words, vowing that they could not be intimidated.
Sensing the altercation might degenerate, a protocol officer quickly alerted top government officials, who calmed the two public officials down.
It would be recalled that Governor Oshiomole's Private Secretary, Mr Olaitan Oyerinde was murdered in cold blood shortly before the governor's re-election into office as Governor of Edo State for a Second Term. Gov. Oshiomole has been very furious over the trivial way the matter has been handled by the Nigeria Police Force and the State Security Service, and he has vowed to personally fish out the killers of Oyerinde.
