Ekiti State Appoints New Deputy-Governor

The Ekiti State Government has appointed a new Deputy-Governor, following the death of Mrs. Funmilayo Olayinka, who died of breast cancer on April 6 at the age of 52.

The new Deputy-Governor is Professor (Mrs) Modupe Adelabu.
The Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has sent her name to the State House of Assembly for ratification.

Until her appointment, Prof. Adelabu, 63, was the Chairman of the State's Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
