Police Arrests Redeemer's University Student In Connection To Gay Banker Murder
Homicide detectives of the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba have arrested an undergraduate male student of the Redeemer's University, Mowe, Ogun State, in connection with the brutal murder of a suspected gay banker, Ohamara Adindu.
The victim was found dead in his room on the 9th of April, 2013, after being stabbed severally by the suspect.
The six persons who had earlier been arrested in connection with the murder, included Ohamara's sister, Flora, and Collins, a relative of the deceased, who is an undergraduate of the University of Lagos.
Flora was released on Wednesday alongside some other arrested suspects.
According to information at my disposal, the prime suspect (names withheld), initially denied knowing the deceased, but after thorough drilling by the detectives, he later admitted knowing the deceased.
He however said that he was reading with some of his colleagues at the university premises at the time of the murder.
The Police thereafter visited the university, where the school authorities were said to have told them that the student was not anywhere near their premises at that material time.
The father of the suspect also told the police that his son got home around 10pm that day.
It was gathered that on the day Ohamara was killed, he had returned home with a stranger with whom he was suspected to have had a gay relationship with.
According to the security guard at the gate, Ohamara and the stranger arrived home in the deceased's car.
It was also learnt that some of the earlier arrested persons in connection with the murder have identified the Redeemer's University undergraduate as the stranger who returned home with Ohamara that night and disappeared before the severely-stabbed banker was discovered.
*All I will say is HMMM!!!!!!*
