Kenya Football Federation Accuses Nigeria Of 'Playing Hide And Seek'

Football Kenya Federation has hit out the Nigeria Football Federation over lack of communication regarding the arrival of the Super Eagles into the country ahead of next Wednesday's World Cup qualifier.

"The Super Eagles are playing hide and seek with the Kenya Football authorities as they are still yet to communicate their arrival date just days before the match," says FKF Secretary General Michael Esakwa.

"We wrote to them two months ago and later again three weeks requesting that information, but up to now they are still quiet. We copied FIFA and the Nigerian high commission in Nairobi but in vain.

"The Nigerian FA is thus in violation of FIFA Article 19 paragraph 2 of the World Cup regulations that requires visiting teams to inform their hosts of the date, time, arrival, and composition of the delegation within one month to match day.

"However we are aware that they intend to sneak into the country and blame the federation, but we are ready any time and in fact our protocol team is at the airport 24/7. But we have, however, received the arrival schedule of the referees from Cote d'Ivoire who arrive tonight (Sunday) together with the security officer from the Netherlands."
