Onyike was arraigned before the Oshodi Magistrate's Court for rubbing another man's penis in order to extract sperm from it.
According to the police, the accused committed the assault against his roommate, Eke Ndukwe, about 1:30 am on May 23, 2013 at their residence, 21, Temidire Street, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos State.
Onyike's offence, the police said, was punishable under Section 134(2) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State.
The complainant, Ndukwe, said that on May 23, about 1:30 am, he woke up and noticed that his roommate (Onyike) was rubbing his penis to extract sperm from it.
"I challenged him and he started begging me. He has been doing this for a long time because whenever I woke up, I usually noticed a bit of sperm on my manhood," he said.
He added that it was the recent action of Onyike that made him to report the incident to the police.
When the charge was read to the accused, he pleaded guilty.
He told the court that he always committed the offence in order to relieve himself of sexual tension anytime he felt the urge to have sexual intercourse with a woman and there was none available.
The police prosecutor told the court that during investigation, it was discovered that Onyike is an unmarried 48-year-old man.
The court was also informed that the accused was found out to be bisexual and to have always masturbated.
The accused, according to the police, performed the act intentionally.
The magistrate, Mr. A.A. Fashola, consequently sentenced Onyike to a year imprisonment with an option of N50,000 fine.
