Boston Marathon Bomber Sentenced To Death

Boston Marathon bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 21, was this evening sentenced
to death for killing three people and injuring 264 people in the 2013 Boston
attack. Dzhokhar and his older brother planted two home-made bombs near the
finishing line of the Boston race, killing people and causing grave injury. Some
lost their legs. His brother later died in a shootout with police.

Dzhokhar had faced a 30-count indictment, with 17 of the charges carrying the death penalty. The jury at
his trial today said they were unanimous on six of counts that Tsarnaev should be
administered a lethal injection.

According to CNN, as the verdicts were read out, the former college student showed no emotion but several people in the public gallery broke down in tears.
