The draws for the Semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League were made this morning.
The fixtures sees nine-time winner Real Madrid lock horns with German side Borussia Dortmund, while four-time winner FC Barcelona faces another German side, FC Bayern Munich.
This season has two German teams and two Spanish teams in the semis. It is the first time in 7 seasons where no team from England made it to the semi finals.
The first leg of the matches would take place on 23rd and 24th April 2013, while the return legs would be played a week later on the 30th April and 1st May 2013.
There is a strong possibility of having a mouth-watering 'El-Clasico' Champions League final between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF if they both make it out of the semi-final. Both teams which boasts of arguably two of the world's best players in Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Also in the Europa League, defending champions of the UEFA Champions League, Chelsea FC meets high-flying Swiss team FC Basel, while Turkish side Fenerbahce is set do battle with Portuguese side Benfica.
The first leg of the Europa League matches takes place on the 25th of April 2013, while the return fixtures takes place on the 2nd of May 2013.
The final of the UEFA Champions League will take place on Saturday 25th May 2013 at the prestigious Wembley Stadium in London.
**Well such a shame no English team made it through to a final that would be played on home turf, but I am looking forward to an 'el-clasico' final**
